Chapter 58: Chapter 13:Yuto Vs Haku!
Yuto pulled out two kunais as he surged forward, channeling his Kamigan's precision. The diagonal slash he delivered was fast and clean, but Haku deftly countered with her senbon, her movements fluid yet calculated. Her surprise attack—a concealed senbon spat from her mouth—was narrowly avoided as Yuto shifted his head to dodge.
'I still can't believe haku is a girl.' Yuto thought. He had used his thermal vision and saw that haku was indeed a girl because she didn't have the sacred sword and two jewels that all boys have.
The clash of their projectiles ended with a swift flicker of Yuto's chakra switch ability. He replaced himself with one of the kunais mid-air, catching Haku off-guard. Without hesitation, he unleashed a blazing Solar Ball, the fiery orb streaking through the mist. Haku leapt back, her hands a blur of seals. The water around the bridge twisted and rose, forming a torrent of sharp, glistening needles.
"Water Style: Thousand Flying Water Needles of Death!" she declared, her voice calm yet commanding.
The needles hurtled toward Yuto in unison, a deadly hailstorm with no room for error. Yuto's smirk widened as his Kamigan's glow intensified. Holding his hands to his sides, he channeled raw solar energy in a circular pulse. The heat erupted outward, evaporating the incoming needles into harmless steam.
"Nice trick," Yuto said, his voice laced with confidence. "But you'll need more than that to take me down."
Haku remained composed, her mask hiding any sign of frustration. 'He's stronger than I thought. I'll need to end this quickly before he overwhelms me.'
Meanwhile, Naruko and Hitomi, watching from the sidelines, marveled at the intensity of the fight.
"Yuto's insane! He's not even breaking a sweat," Naruko exclaimed, clenching her fists. "I want to join in!"
"Stay focused, Naruko," Hitomi replied sharply. "Our job is to protect Tazuna. If Yuto needs us, he'll call."
Naruko pouted but nodded, her eyes glued to the battle. 'Still... he's amazing. I need to get stronger if I want to keep up with him.'
The air grew cold as Haku exhaled, her breath visible in the chilling mist as she made single handed hand signs. Ice erupted from the bridge, forming massive crystalline spikes aimed directly at Yuto. "Ice Release: Ice Spikes," she whispered, her tone calm yet resolute. The sheer size of the spikes startled Naruko and Hitomi, who gasped in unison.
"That's... ice?" Naruko stammered, clutching her kunai tightly.
Hitomi nodded, her voice tense. "This changes everything. Yuto has to—"
Kakashi, mid-clash with Zabuza, briefly glanced at the spectacle, his Sharingan narrowing. 'An ice kekkei genkai... So, this masked ninja is no ordinary opponent. Yuto needs to end this quickly.'
But Yuto wasn't fazed. His Kamigan flared as he brought his hands together, forming a glowing sphere of solar energy. 'Ice release...it had so much potential but wasn't shown much in the anime. Let's see how your ice stacks up against the sun.'
The solar ball in his hands grew brighter and denser. With a powerful shout, Yuto thrust his hands forward, releasing a concentrated beam of solar energy that looked like a mini orange coloured KA-ME-HA-ME-HA from DBZ. The radiant beam tore through the mist, colliding with the advancing ice spikes. The clash of ice and solar energy sent shockwaves rippling across the bridge.
The mist dissipated, revealing shattered ice and steam rising from the battlefield. Yuto's solar beam cut through most of the spikes before he ceased the attack, sweat dripping down his temple. 'That attack's no joke—it drains my solar reserves fast. I'll need to wrap this up before she forces me to use it again.'
Haku stood amidst the remnants of her ice, her gaze locked on Yuto. 'He broke through it... He's far stronger than I expected. But I can't stop now. For Zabuza-sama, I must fight with everything I have.'
Naruko and Hitomi exchanged stunned looks, their admiration for Yuto only deepening. "Did you see that?" Naruko whispered, eyes sparkling.
"Focus, Naruko," Hitomi said, though her voice betrayed a hint of awe.
Zabuza smirked as he shot a massive torrent of water, resembling a cannon blast, toward Kakashi. Reacting swiftly, Kakashi formed hand signs, copying the jutsu and launching an identical water cannon to counter it. The two attacks collided with a thunderous splash, drenching the bridge in mist and water.
Irritated, Zabuza sneered. "Still relying on my jutsu, Copy Ninja?"
Kakashi's expression didn't waver as he quickly slammed his hands on the ground. "Lightning Style: Electromagnetic Murder!" Sparks of electricity surged across the water, forcing Zabuza to leap away to avoid electrocution.
"You've got an interesting brat as a student," Zabuza taunted, forming more hand signs. Water from the river rose into the shape of multiple shuriken, which he hurled toward Kakashi.
Kakashi countered with an earth wall jutsu, blocking the attack. His Sharingan glinted through the mist as he replied, "And your partner isn't too shabby either."
As Haku weaved hand signs, multiple water clones materialized and rushed toward Yuto. Instead of attacking, Yuto calmly dodged them, tapping each lightly as they passed. The clones reverted to water upon contact, their chakra absorbed by his Kamigan's chakra absorption ability.
Haku's eyes widened momentarily in surprise but quickly regained focus. Without hesitation, she completed another set of hand signs, summoning her Ice Release: Demonic Mirroring Ice Crystals. The battlefield transformed as mirrors of crystal-clear ice formed a dome around Yuto. Haku disappeared into one of the mirrors, her reflection visible in all of them.
Yuto narrowed his eyes, shifting into a defensive stance. 'So, it's this jutsu,' he thought, fully aware of its devastating speed and lethality.
