Naruto: I Am Crazy with the Simulation System!

Chapter 141: Chapter 141: Amado?

You seized the moment when the Kirigakure personnel were distracted and swiftly charged into the research facility. Relying on your sensory perception, you sped through the long, narrow, and winding underground corridor.

"Found it!"

Finally, behind a heavy iron door, you sensed the lingering bloodline power in Pakura's body—a perfectly blended mix of fire and wind.

There were also two others present, but their chakra signatures were ordinary, clearly not shinobi. Most likely, they were just researchers.

Faced with the sealed iron door, brute force was your only option.

After confirming there were no White Zetsu lurking around...

You pressed your finger against the door. An intensely scorching power surged from your body, instantly melting the obstacle before you into a pool of molten iron.

Bang!

You caught a bullet just before it struck you, then re-entered stealth mode and quickly stepped into the lab.

Bang! Bang!

Two more shots rang out. A wall of ice materialized beside you, blocking them with ease.

Curious, you turned your head toward the one who'd fired at you.

The man wore a white lab coat, his hair and beard both gray. He sported orange glasses and looked thoroughly unremarkable...

If you had to summarize, he resembled a haggard middle-aged research laborer.

"You can see me?"

You released your stealth, revealing your black cloak and gold-masked visage.

"Yes, I used a scanner," the man said calmly.

The researcher nonchalantly lowered his pistol, took a sip of coffee from the desk, and then pointed to his glasses.

You stared at him. The longer you looked, the more familiar he seemed. You were certain you'd seen him before.

He looked like a character from Boruto. However, in your past life, burdened with work and waning interest, you only caught fragments of that sequel series while scrolling through short clips online.

Those clips were scattered, and though you could piece together the general plot, you couldn't remember who this man was or what his name might be.

Despite being completely powerless to resist, he faced you with remarkable composure.

It wasn't just surface-level calm—there wasn't a single flicker of emotional fluctuation in him. Not even the notoriously stoic Uchiha Itachi had displayed that kind of stillness.

"Mind telling me why you put the gun down?"

"Because I know trying to kill you would be pointless. I don't want to provoke you," the middle-aged researcher replied, setting his coffee down and lighting a cigarette.

"That child in the glass chamber... is she your daughter?"

You nodded subtly toward the blonde girl lying on the bed next to Pakura—connected to a mess of wires and tubes, clinging to life.

"...Yes. You really are a sharp observer," he said. "Can you tell me what gave it away? Was it something in my emotions that revealed our relationship?"

"No," you replied.

During your conversation, it finally clicked who he was—Amado. A core member of the future Kara organization. Their chief scientist. Outwardly, he seemed to be desperately working to revive his daughter, but in truth, he was shrouded in mysteries.

Despite being a regular human, he could create technological marvels beyond even Orochimaru's reach—tools capable of sealing an Ōtsutsuki.

Although his true intentions remained unclear, his scientific talent was undeniably valuable. Rather than letting such an unstable factor lurk in the shadows, it was better to keep him where you could see him.

He could even serve as a mentor to guide you in shinobi-world science…

After all, you couldn't keep relying on Orochimaru or Kabuto every time cells, cloning, or technology came into play.

Maybe it worked in the short term, but long term? You refused to remain ignorant of the principles and structures behind the tools you used.

You offered him a golden mask, asking if he would join your organization.

But Amado refused, stating he had already decided to join another organization.

Fortunately, you proposed allowing him to join both at once.

After some thought, Amado accepted your offer—and mentioned he was planning to leave Kirigakure anyway. He gave you his contacts.

Then Amado gently lifted his daughter into his arms and began packing up his things. You unfurled a sealing scroll, sealed Pakura's corpse inside, and quickly left the facility.

And just like that, amidst the chaos stirred by the Mizukage's rebellion, Amado departed Kirigakure with his daughter in his arms and a suitcase in hand, slipping out through a pre-dug escape tunnel.

You, once again cloaked in stealth, made your way toward the battlefield where the Fourth Mizukage clashed with the faction loyal to Genshī.

...

On the way, you started pondering the mystery surrounding Amado's daughter.

To your eyes, enhanced by your ocular powers, she appeared to be just a terminally ill girl. Her bloodline indeed linked her to Amado.

But the internal structure of her bloodline was highly unusual. It was entirely composed of bloodline disease, and the fact that she could grow to this age and still appear like a normal human was nothing short of a miracle.

Yet Amado's own bloodline, as you sensed it, was completely normal.

And still, they were confirmed to be father and daughter. It was utterly baffling...

Still, you didn't really mind working with such a mystery.

Because ever since your system panel and space had stopped responding…

You'd already accepted that death was your inevitable fate.

So now, what you cared about was short-term gain, how it felt to live through each moment, and uncovering the truth—your one and only chance in this fleeting life.

Your unexpected encounter with Amado didn't interfere with your plans.

By the time you arrived, the Genjutsu placed on the Mizukage had just been released by the sealing team.

And as he recalled all the things he had done, Yagura was overwhelmed with remorse, unable to face his former self.

At Genshī's encouragement, Yagura voluntarily entered Kirigakure's swamp to reflect on his past.

Mei Terumī, despite opposition, was unanimously chosen as the new Mizukage. However, since she was powerful but still relatively inexperienced, Genshī temporarily oversaw the village's affairs in her stead.

But just then, news broke of the research lab being raided. Researchers and valuable specimens were missing.

Although Genshī quickly led a team to the site, all they found was a thick iron door melted into a gaping hole, and an empty lab, long since vacated.

...

After watching the latter half of this drama unfold, you followed the now-former Mizukage and Jinchūriki Yagura to his place of reflection.

You observed Yagura's bleak expression and deadened eyes. It was clear he was prepared to die.

You deduced that, in the original timeline, Yagura had released the Three-Tails voluntarily, and died as a result of losing his tailed beast.

But you couldn't afford to wait that long.

At the same time, you didn't want to waste energy fighting him. Jinchūriki were notoriously resilient, and any fight with one would inevitably draw massive attention.

So, soon after Yagura and the Three-Tails within him separated from Genshī's influence...

They once again fell under the control of your Genjutsu.
