Gobi Desert Battlefield.

"Then next..." Naruto stood up slowly, standing atop the ice dragon, looking down at the remaining enemies. "Who's next?"

"Bastard!" Several of the reanimated Kage froze momentarily. Then their expressions twisted in fury. "Stop acting like you've been blessed by the Sage of Six Paths!"

"Mazou Susanoo—Bah! Quicksand Waterfall Flow!" Gaara interrupted them, submerging their bodies in a swirling tide of sand. A sealing tag was swiftly pressed into the shifting mass.

"..." Hōzuki Gengetsu grumbled. "That tag... it's for sealing, isn't it? Oh no, kid! I surrender! I'm not fighting anymore! Yoshi! Well played, young Kazekage!"

Before he finished, his chakra was slowly being drawn into the sand, sapping his strength.

"Damn it!" Gengetsu howled. "I told you, I'm ready to be sealed already! Dammit!"

Plop~ The sealing tag fell off the sand and fluttered to the ground.

The other reanimated Kage also slipped free of the sand trap.

The Third Raikage suddenly erupted from the dunes with Lightning Release Chakra Mode, resembling a Super Saiyan 2, while Mu, the Second Tsuchikage, vanished silently from the sand.

"What the hell?!" The Allied Shinobi Forces were stunned.

"Dust Release: Detachment of the Primitive World Technique!" Mu formed a cylindrical barrier in his hands and launched it directly at Naruto.

BOOM—! The massive explosion sent shockwaves through the desert and kicked up clouds of smoke.

"Naruto?!" Temari called out, eyes wide in worry. Gaara frowned, tense.

"Don't worry!" Onoki waved his hand. "This isn't his first time facing this. He won't go down that easily."

As the smoke cleared, a grotesque wooden shield with a fanged grimace emerged, blocking the Dust Release.

"Wood Style: Wood Expulsion Jutsu!"

The shield slowly peeled open, revealing Naruto unharmed inside.

"Wood Style: Laughing Buddha Technique!"

Dozens of massive wooden arms burst from the ground and lunged toward Gengetsu, Mu, and the Third Raikage!

"Damn it!" The three of them scrambled across the desert, dodging the grabbing wooden hands.

"Untraceable Mist Technique!" Mu shouted, vanishing from sight.

"Summoning Jutsu!" Gengetsu summoned a massive clam beside him. "Steaming Danger Tyranny Technique~!"

The clam released thick, wide-spanning mist, cloaking the entire battlefield in illusion. Within the fog, a translucent clone of Gengetsu formed while the real one and his giant clam faded from sight.

Third Raikage: "...mmp, so you're all just gonna run?!"

WHAM!

The wooden arms, now without targets, slammed directly into the Third Raikage and restrained him.

"Hell Stab: Four-Finger Nukite!"

CRACK! The wooden arms shattered instantly under the Raikage's raw power.

"mmp! You underhanded bastards!"

The rage burned in him as his body moved on its own.

"Lightning Release: Black Panther!"

A panther-shaped bolt of black lightning tore across the field toward Naruto.

"Earth Style: Multiple Earth-Style Wall!" Naruto formed hand seals rapidly, creating layer after layer of thick walls in front of him. The black lightning smashed through several before dissipating.

"Hey!" Gengetsu's illusion shouted from the mist. "I told you! I'm not fighting! I defected to your side, seal me already, you brat!"

Naruto just turned and continued watching the battle elsewhere...

"Oi! Don't ignore me!" The real Gengetsu and his clam reappeared among the Allied Shinobi ranks. "I'm a pacifist!"

"Ahh!!" the nearby shinobi jumped and backed away quickly.

"Bastards! Didn't I say I'm a pacifist ninja?!" Gengetsu yelled. "My clam uses wide-scale genjutsu, okay?! Physical attacks won't work! It's a mirage!"

"Stop shouting," Gaara said calmly as he floated above, his sand swirling beneath. "I don't sense any killing intent from you. You can train with the others."

"Your sister!" Gengetsu grumbled. "I'm a former Mizukage! Show some respect!"

"Damn it! Being manipulated like this is annoying! Just seal me already! Hey! Hey!"

"Please do," Gaara responded, flying higher as he continued overseeing Naruto.

The nearby Allied Forces stared blankly at the eccentric Mizukage.

"Yoshi! Look at our mustache boy go!" someone cheered suddenly.

Gengetsu: "Mustache...!"

He turned slowly. "DON'T call me Mustache! Even if I'm under Impure World Reincarnation, I'll still kill you!"

"Ah!" The soldiers stepped back in fright. "S-sumimasen!"

Gengetsu sighed heavily. "Axii! You guys are hopeless rookies."

"Everyone, prepare for action!" a voice called.

"Oh!!"

"Everyone, go!"

"Aw!!"

"Then please, take me back." Gengetsu raised his hands, exhausted.

Pfft~~ The giant clam released another massive mist cloud, covering the battlefield.

The shinobi hurried into formation, watching Gengetsu warily.

"Good! Watch closely now! Focus!" Gengetsu nodded. "Remember! I said physical attacks won't work on me right now! It's a mirage!"

"..!!"

With that, the shinobi all threw shuriken and kunai.

Swish! Swish! Swish!

Thwack! The weapons pinned Gengetsu to a nearby wall.

"Oof~~! All done!" someone cheered.

Only to see another Gengetsu casually walk out from the mist, unscathed.

"Ghost!!" the shinobi screamed in unison.

Gengetsu: "Are you all idiots?! I just explained it! Your attacks don't work on my current form. This is an illusion!"

"Then what do we do?!" a panicked shinobi cried.

Gengetsu's forehead bulged with frustration.

"I already told you! Destroy the giant clam! That's the source of the mirage! Its shell is tough, so use explosive tags or large-scale jutsu!"

"But..." a ninja hesitated.

"What now?!" Gengetsu snapped.

The shinobi pointed sheepishly at the wall behind Gengetsu. "Because of the last attack..."

Gengetsu turned to look.

The wall was riddled with kunai and shuriken.

Gengetsu: "..."

He whipped back around.

"Ah!" the shinobi recoiled.

Gengetsu waved a hand, signaling.

"Me?" the ninja pointed at himself.

"Idiots! Go retrieve your weapons!" Gengetsu barked.

"Ah! Sorry!" The shinobi scratched his head. "Everyone, hurry!"

The battlefield descended into chaos.

"Hey! That one's mine!"

"Use your strength!"

"Where's my kunai?!"

"Oh! There are more over there!"

Gengetsu: "...Is this what low tide fishing looks like...damn..."

"S-sumimasen!" the flustered shinobi apologized again.

Gengetsu: "...What even is this mission?!"
