Naruto: I Became Sakura and Accidentally Got a Nuke

Chapter 27: Chapter 27

"Don't even mention that!" Sasuke was radiating resentment. Being forced to wear a dress at the ramen shop by Sakura was bad enough, but when he returned home and his mother actually wanted him in a dress too, his inner fury had nearly reached the sky.

"Ah, why not? I think you looked really cute wearing that," Naruto whispered with a mischievous grin from the side.

"Shut up, dumbass!"

Sasuke roared in fury, sending a flock of birds flying from the trees by the roadside. Under the setting sun, the silhouettes of the three figures looked oddly harmonious.

Chapter 23: A Guest at the Uchiha Household [Part 2]

"Young Master Sasuke, hello."

"You're back early today, Young Master Sasuke."

As Young Master Sasuke entered the Uchiha territory, everyone they encountered on the road greeted him warmly with smiles.

"These are Young Master Sasuke's friends? Such a sweet little girl."

Hearing this, Sasuke's face stiffened, and inside his mind, tiny cartoonish versions of himself flipped tables. Sweet my ass! That's a demon, for crying out loud!

"The Third and the rest really took things too far," Sakura sighed. The Uchiha clan had been completely marginalized, banished to the village's outermost edge. Their compound wasn't only isolated geographically but also encircled by other clans — no wonder the Uchihas considered rebellion.

Uchiha Madara and Senju Hashirama together founded Konoha, yet aside from Hashirama himself, everyone else in Konoha kept their distance from Madara. After Madara feigned death following his scheme, the Uchiha clan's position within Konoha became precarious.

Later on, the only one truly loyal to the Uchiha, Hashirama, passed away far too early. When Tobirama Senju, the Second Hokage, took over leadership, he directly assigned the Uchiha clan to the Konoha Police Force — an awkward position indeed.

What exactly was the Konoha Police Force responsible for? Maintaining daily public order might sound impressive, but in reality, this role inevitably earned them enemies. Enforcing law would naturally provoke some resentment, and these individuals weren't lone wolves without families or friends. As a result, once the Uchiha punished someone, they essentially antagonized an entire network of people. Gradually, the whole of Konoha started developing grievances against the Uchiha clan.

Most critical of all was the Uchiha's proud and aloof disposition. For the Uchiha, those they recognized were worth risking their lives for protection; even death wouldn't bring regrets. As for those they didn't recognize, showing no expression upon seeing you was already the best-case scenario.

The devotion of the Uchiha clan was passionate and extreme; once decided upon, it lasted eternally. Even Tobirama remarked that the Uchiha's devotion ran too deep — should they ever lose that cherished devotion, they could descend into madness.

Obito Uchiha perfectly embodied this point. Originally a well-behaved youth, cheerful, optimistic, and kind-hearted, Obito experienced a complete personality change after personally witnessing Rin impale herself upon Kakashi's Chidori, orchestrated by none other than Madara Uchiha.

The pain of the Sharingan evolving directly from two tomoe to the Mangekyō transformed Obito from a bright, cheerful boy into a cold-hearted major villain. Under Madara's manipulation, he even attacked Konoha and released the Nine-Tails. Probably nobody could have imagined that the masked man who fought fiercely against the Fourth Hokage would turn out to be that clumsy Uchiha Obito.

Just like now, since the Uchiha believed that Sakura and Naruto were Sasuke's good friends, they greeted them warmly. If it were someone else, no matter how strong they were, they wouldn't even get a second look.

"Even though he was treated so harshly by Konoha, he still smiles at his own clansmen. Such an intense family!"

Sakura really liked how straightforward the Uchiha clan was—they loved fiercely and hated openly. At least when dealing with these people, there was no need for beating around the bush.

"I'm back."

After walking quite a distance, the trio finally arrived at Sasuke's house. Throughout the journey, Naruto had maintained a smile on his face. In other parts of Konoha, villagers who saw him usually displayed looks of dislike or disgust, while the kindest responses were merely cold indifference. Yet within the Uchiha district, almost everyone they met greeted him with a friendly smile—something he'd never experienced before.

"Huh? Sasuke came back early today!" Auntie Mikoto said, somewhat surprised. Ever since Sasuke started working at the Ichiraku Ramen Shop, he usually came home pretty late. "Eh? Are these Sasuke's friends?!"

"Hello Auntie Mikoto, I'm Sakura Haruno!" Sakura smiled as she greeted her.

"Uh... I'm Naruto Uzumaki, believe it, dattebayo!" Naruto felt a bit shy—it wasn't like he'd had much experience interacting with elders before.

"Uzumaki?!" Auntie Mikoto was momentarily stunned. The surname reminded her instantly of her dear childhood friend who had passed away young. If her child were still alive, she probably would've been about Sasuke's age now.

"Auntie Mikoto must find this surname familiar and nostalgic, right?" Sakura noticed the sadness in Mikoto's eyes and spoke directly. "Come to think of it, doesn't Auntie Mikoto find Naruto's appearance very familiar?"

"The same golden hair, the same blue eyes—he smiles just like the sun."

"And most importantly, the same quirky catchphrase."

"Kushina..." Mikoto gasped, covering her mouth in shock. Initially, she didn't quite understand what Sakura meant until those last words. Her dearest friend used to have that exact same catchphrase too—and his age matched perfectly.

"Naruto really is Lady Kushina's child!" Sakura explained.

"That's wonderful, just wonderful," Mikoto said emotionally as she hugged Naruto tightly, tears streaming down her face. She had just given birth to Sasuke not long before the Fourth Hokage and his wife passed away. Additionally, because no one from the Uchiha clan could get near the battlefield at the time, nobody knew that Kushina had already given birth before her death. They had simply assumed that during childbirth the Nine-Tails had broken its seal, resulting in the sacrifice of the Fourth Hokage, his wife, and their unborn child.

"Ah... uh... What exactly is going on here?"

Naruto looked at Sakura, completely at a loss. Why was this gentle-smiling aunt suddenly hugging him and bawling like that? What did they mean by saying he's Kushina's kid just now?
