Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Otama Spiral Circle

"Enemies, incoming!"

"Don't panic! A single attack like that won't stop Jinin Akebino. He'll dispel the Hidden Mist Jutsu and counter!"

Hearing this, the Mist shinobi steadied themselves, but their eyes betrayed uncertainty. The mist began to lift, revealing the battlefield.

For a technique known as Kirigakure's deadliest assassination art, this reversal was a disgrace. If word of this spread, the Hidden Mist's reputation would take a devastating blow.

As the fog dissipated, the Konoha shinobi, though shaken, spotted Jinin Akebino lying amid the ruins. The deep trench in the earth and the shattered trees surrounding him bore testament to the devastating force he had endured.

A flicker of hope ignited in the Leaf ninjas' eyes.

"It's him—Qin Yu! He must have attacked!"

"With him here, we might survive this!"

"Idiot! Don't forget—Qin Yu massacred hundreds of Kumogakure shinobi in an instant! He even forced the A-B Combo to retreat!"

As the Konoha shinobi's fear turned to relief, the Hidden Mist forces grew uneasy.

"Lord Raiga… should we retreat?" A Mist shinobi hesitantly asked.

Before he could say another word, a blade flashed.

Schlick!

His head separated from his shoulders, and blood sprayed onto the battlefield.

"Disrupting the unit? That's a death sentence." Raiga Kurosuki wiped his sword clean, his tone as indifferent as if he had just swatted a fly. Then, he raised his voice.

"You! Stop hiding and show yourself!"

"You looking for me?" A calm voice rang out.

Qin Yu stepped forward, his gaze flicking to Yūgao Uzuki. "My girlfriend isn't someone you can toy with."

"Anyone who tries—dies."

Raiga blinked, then erupted into laughter. "This brat? I thought someone serious had attacked us! Jinin, stop pretending to be hurt— Samehada's there, you couldn't have taken much damage."

"Heh… Raiga, couldn't you have kept that a secret a little longer? Now you've ruined my surprise for Konoha's little hero."

Jinin Akebino groaned as he pushed himself up from the rubble. His massive frame trembled slightly, but he stood tall.

His bandaged sword, Samehada, was now fully unwrapped, its jagged scales glistening menacingly. The weapon pulsed, feasting on absorbed chakra.

The sight of it made even the experienced Konoha shinobi tense.

"Father… those are the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist?" Yūgao whispered, her voice tight with unease.

Hayate Gekkō nodded grimly. "Qin Yu, be careful. Based on our intel, Jinin's blade, Samehada, devours chakra. Your Rasengan earlier… it was likely absorbed completely."

He hesitated, then asked the question on everyone's mind. "But Qin Yu… how did you learn the Fourth Hokage's Rasengan?"

In Konoha, everyone knew that the Rasengan was one of Minato Namikaze's signature techniques.

"You mean that?" Qin Yu gave a carefree chuckle, eyeing Samehada. "I just learned it a moment ago."

"I was wondering how to deal with my chakra exhaustion… but I nearly forgot about Samehada. Lucky me—I needed a new weapon."

A stunned silence fell over the battlefield.

Konoha and Kirigakure shinobi alike exchanged bewildered glances.

Was… was he trying to steal Samehada?

"Hah! Brat, that's the funniest thing I've ever heard!" Jinin's laughter boomed. "Your earlier attack was impressive, but all that chakra was devoured by Samehada. You're running on empty now!"

He smirked and gripped his sword tighter. "Let's say you just gave me all your chakra for free—what now?"

As if to emphasize his point, Jinin flexed his fingers, allowing Samehada to regurgitate absorbed chakra into his body. His wounds began closing at an alarming rate.

The watching shinobi turned to Qin Yu.

His next words sent a chill down their spines.

"So you enjoyed my chakra?" His voice was calm, almost amused. "Then I hope you keep laughing."

Lightning flared around his body.

In an instant, he vanished.

A flicker of movement—then a crack! as air displaced violently.

Qin Yu reappeared behind Jinin, lightning still crackling around him.

The Mist shinobi barely had time to react.

"Jinin! Behind you!" Raiga shouted.

Jinin whirled around, Samehada swinging up to block—

His pupils shrank.

"Big Ball Rasengan."

Qin Yu's hand, now engulfed in an enormous swirling sphere of chakra, struck home.

BOOM!

The Rasengan detonated.

A shockwave of chakra and wind roared through the battlefield like a hurricane.

The impact sent Jinin hurtling backward at blinding speed, carving a deep trench in the earth.

He crashed through trees, snapping them like twigs.

Finally, his flight ended against a massive rock face nearly a kilometer away.

CRASH!

The entire cliffside cracked and crumbled from the sheer force, sending boulders tumbling down.

The violent spectacle left both sides in stunned silence.

Jinin Akebino, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, had been blown away again.

This time, his body did not stir.

"Lord Jinin… got hit again?"

The Mist shinobi gawked at the wreckage, disbelief etched on their faces.

This second attack was at least ten times stronger than the first.

Raiga's expression darkened. "Jinin! Get up! Samehada should have absorbed the damage—this can't hurt you!"

His voice echoed through the ruined battlefield.

But no response came.

Jinin Akebino lay motionless in the rubble.

Raiga clenched his teeth, frustration flaring.

Then—

A flicker of movement.

A bolt of lightning flashed atop the debris.

"There he is!"

"He's fast!"

"When did Konoha get someone this strong?!"

The Mist shinobi exchanged uneasy glances.

What had started as a one-sided massacre had flipped completely.

The lone shinobi standing against them was rewriting the battle.

Qin Yu stepped forward, his eyes calm as he reached down.

With a single motion, he lifted the discarded Samehada.

The living blade trembled in his grip.

"Looks like Jinin didn't make it." Qin Yu smirked.

"Guess this is mine now."

Raiga's gaze sharpened. A flicker of excitement gleamed in his eyes.

"There's an opening—Thunderbolt Slaughter!"

Lightning surged through his twin blades, Kiba.

With a crackling roar, he pointed them skyward.

A bolt of blue lightning arced down, striking toward Qin Yu.

As one of the Seven Ninja Swords, each blade carried a unique power.

And among them—

Kiba wielded the purest lightning chakra.
