Chapter 24: Chapter 24: The first use, a bit hand-made

Boom!

A deafening clap of thunder tore through the battlefield as Raiga Kurosuki, one of the Seven Ninja Swordsmen of the Mist, raised his twin Kiba blades high. The weapons crackled with electricity, feeding off the storm above, before unleashing a devastating barrage of lightning.

Bolts of blue energy surged from the sky, splitting into seven or eight streaks of raw power, all converging on the lone figure standing amid the storm—Qin Yu.

The Mist ninja around Raiga smirked, their confidence swelling as their leader's attack engulfed the enemy in an unrelenting electrical assault.

"Heh. That should finish him," one of them muttered.

But as the smoke and sparks cleared, a low chuckle echoed through the air.

"Time to test my blade," Qin Yu said, a faint smirk playing on his lips.

With a single, fluid motion, he swung the Samehada—the living blade once wielded by Kisame Hoshigaki. The sword's grotesque, scale-covered surface seemed to writhe hungrily as it devoured the oncoming lightning.

Crack!

The air itself vibrated as Samehada absorbed Raiga's powerful technique, dispersing the electric charge in an instant.

Raiga's expression twisted into one of shock. "Impossible! That blade should be rejecting you!"

As a wielder of Samehada, Raiga knew its nature. The sword was notorious for turning against those unworthy of wielding it, often lashing out at its own user. Yet Qin Yu handled it with ease, as if the weapon had already accepted him.

Qin Yu's Sharingan spun lazily in his eyes, the three tomoe reflecting the stormy battlefield. Even the bijū—beasts of immense chakra—could be cowed by those cursed red eyes, so what chance did a mere sword have?

Feeling the residual chakra from Raiga's attack being transferred to him through Samehada, Qin Yu flexed his fingers, feeling his reserves slightly replenish.

"The absorption rate is lower than I expected, but still... this sword is a useful tool," Qin Yu mused, shifting his gaze back to Raiga. "You call yourselves the Seven Ninja Swordsmen, but what are you without your blades?"

Raiga scowled. "You think you're some kind of legend? I know exactly who you are now—your speed, your Sharingan... you must be Uchiha Shisui!"

Qin Yu rolled his eyes. Even the surrounding Mist ninja exchanged uncertain glances.

"Uh, Lord Raiga... I don't think that's him."

"Shut up! He must be!"

"Shisui of the Body Flicker is known for his insane speed and his Mangekyō Sharingan," another Mist ninja pointed out. "This guy doesn't match the reports at all."

Raiga's jaw clenched. "Doesn't matter! Whoever he is, he's dead!"

With a furious snarl, Raiga raised his Kiba blades, pulling even more lightning from the storm. The clouds churned violently as streaks of blue energy coiled around his weapons.

Boom!

Another devastating bolt of lightning crashed down, Raiga directing its force toward Qin Yu with deadly precision.

The Mist ninja surrounding them leaped into action. "Water Release: Water Wall!"

A massive barrier of water erupted from the ground, forming a protective dome. Another group of shinobi, all wearing the blood-red headbands of the Hidden Mist, immediately followed up.

"Water Release: Great Waterfall Jutsu!"

A torrential wave surged forward, amplifying the conductivity of Raiga's lightning technique. The entire battlefield was soon drenched, turning the terrain into a death trap of charged water.

From a distance, Konoha's reinforcements—led by Moonlight Cangwu—watched with grim expressions.

"These Mist ninja... their teamwork is impeccable," one of the Leaf shinobi muttered.

"If we fought them head-on, we'd be at a disadvantage," another admitted.

"Don't panic," Cangwu said firmly. "We hold the barrier. We just need to buy some time."

Inside the battlefield, Raiga's lips curled into a grin. "What now, Uchiha? Can't dodge lightning, can you?"

But Qin Yu didn't flinch.

Crackle!

A high-pitched hum filled the air as he raised his hand. His palm glowed, chakra swirling into a familiar sphere.

"Sorry to keep you waiting," he said, his voice laced with amusement. "This is my first time trying this, so I needed a moment."

The sphere in his palm darkened, turning an ominous shade of violet-blue. Lightning arcs danced violently around it, pulsing with an unstable charge.

Raiga's smirk faltered. "What... What is that?"

Qin Yu didn't answer.

He simply threw it.

FWOOOOM!

The Rasengan, infused with lightning chakra, cut through the storm like a meteor descending from the heavens. It crashed into the surging water below—

BOOOOM!

The entire battlefield exploded in a blinding burst of electricity. The sheer force of the impact sent shockwaves rippling through the terrain, and the conductive properties of water only amplified the devastation.

Lightning shot out in every direction, frying Mist ninja who weren't fast enough to escape.

Outside the battle zone, the Konoha shinobi shielded their eyes, the enchantment barrier straining under the impact.

As the light faded, all that remained was a charred landscape, Raiga's once-confident forces now reduced to smoking bodies strewn across the battlefield.

Qin Yu exhaled, shaking out his hand. "Not bad for a first attempt."

The few surviving Mist ninja stared in horror.

"Monster..." one whispered.

Qin Yu turned to them, his Sharingan glowing ominously.

"Now then... who's next?"
