Naruto: I'm Really Not an Evil Uchiha!

Chapter 71: A Complete Victory Over Mei Terumi, Kirigakure's Alliance Attempt

Both sides' shinobi fell into a brief moment of silence, awaiting the outcome of the duel.

From a distance, Miroku watched intently without blinking.

The flames she had foreseen... had appeared.

"Miroku, don't tell me you've taken a liking to him?"

The daimyō's discomfort grew as he noticed Miroku's focused demeanor.

"Later," Miroku replied, shaking her head.

Shinobi had sharp hearing; now was not the time to share her thoughts with the daimyō.

"Damn it," the daimyō cursed inwardly, clenching his fists tightly.

What was wrong with Miroku today? Why was she ignoring him and only focusing on that Uchiha?

"Lava Release: Acid Monster Jutsu."

Seeing that her water bullets couldn't hit Shimizu, Mei Terumi opted for a wide-range attack.

She opened her mouth, spitting out a viscous, highly corrosive acid that sprayed toward Shimizu, covering all his possible escape paths.

"There's no dodging this, and tanking it directly isn't an option either."

The technique's wide range covered nearly all of Shimizu's side of the battlefield. Its power was extraordinary—it had melted even Sasuke's skeletal Susano'o in the original storyline.

If Shimizu's body were to take the hit, it would undoubtedly result in severe damage, requiring significant chakra to heal, thus hindering his ability to fight.

"Then, Fire Release: Inferno Prison Sword."

Shimizu extended his hand as chakra condensed into a blazing sword, radiating intense heat.

This jutsu, common among the Hozuki Castle clan, had been acquired by the Uchiha clan long ago through an exchange.

As soon as the sword formed, it extended further, becoming a five-meter-long thin blade.

From afar, it resembled a crimson whip.

Boom!

The tip of the Inferno Prison Sword met the acid, instantly corroding the blade.

Shimizu didn't pause, however. He swung the sword in wide arcs, creating a visible barrier of flames in front of him.

Each time the acid corroded the sword, fresh chakra filled the gap, maintaining an impenetrable shield.

Within seconds, the acid in the air collided with the fire sword and dissipated. Only a few drops hit the ground, immediately leaving deep pits in the earth.

Mei Terumi hadn't expected Shimizu to neutralize her unique Kekkei Genkai so quickly. Everything was happening too fast; she was still refining her chakra and couldn't execute another jutsu in time. Her jade-green eyes narrowed as she bent down and leaped back.

A flaming kick barely missed her hair, scorching several strands as it passed.

"Not bad reaction speed," Shimizu remarked.

Mei Terumi's reaction was slightly faster than Ye Cang's had been in their previous battle. If it had been Ye Cang, she would've been forced to take the full brunt of his Fire Flicker.

Now, Shimizu decided to end the fight by showing a fraction of his true strength.

"Fire Release: Yasaka Magatama."

He uttered the words softly.

With a sharp burst of fiery chakra, a fireball appeared in his hand, splitting into eight magatama-shaped flames.

This technique was something he had developed during his travels.

Inspired by the Rasengan, it differed in that it didn't remain a single sphere but instead concentrated all its destructive power into successive bursts of damage.

When one magatama struck the enemy, the others would follow in quick succession, delivering a devastating eight-hit combo.

His natural talent for fire release made it easier for him to develop new fire-based jutsu.

What would take most shinobi years to create, Shimizu had accomplished in just over ten days.

As the eight magatama formed, Mei Terumi's instincts screamed that this attack was highly dangerous.

While the Yasaka Magatama condensed, Shimizu glanced toward the daimyō of the Land of Demons.

Through his Byakugan, he saw a mass of dark chakra coiled within the bell on the daimyō's waist. Part of it had already seeped into the daimyō's body.

"Moryo, huh?"

In the Naruto: Death of the Protagonist storyline, Miroku gave birth to her daughter, Shion. When Shion was about four or five years old, Moryo's power erupted completely, forcing Miroku to seal it at the cost of her life.

This meant Moryo's unsealing was inevitable, but Shimizu hadn't expected it to happen so soon.

The daimyō of the Land of Demons was likely the one responsible for releasing the seal, though he had not yet been fully possessed by Moryo.

Through his Byakugan's perspective, Shimizu saw that the dark chakra occupied only a small portion of the daimyō's body.

"What would happen if I told the priestess now that the daimyō was possessed by Moryo?"

The thought crossed Shimizu's mind, and he smirked.

He then accelerated the formation of the eight magatama. They spun rapidly in his hand, growing larger and drawing in the surrounding mist.

When the mist cleared completely, Shimizu deactivated his Byakugan and opened his dark eyes, giving Mei Terumi a playful look.

Once the magatama had doubled in size, each as large as a fist, Shimizu hurled them forward.

The flames screeched through the air, the sound sharp and grating. Mei Terumi's expression changed drastically; she could no longer maintain her usual seductive demeanor and looked panicked.

She quickly formed hand seals, barely managing to execute her strongest defensive jutsu.

"Water Release: Water Formation Pillar."

A massive sphere of water formed, burst, and expanded outward, enveloping the eight flaming magatama hurtling toward her.

Boom!

The expanding water managed to extinguish six magatama, but the remaining two blazed forward, targeting Mei Terumi.

As she closed her eyes in despair, the fiery magatama grazed her cheek and exploded behind her.

The burning sensation on her face confirmed she was still alive.

Turning around, she saw a two-meter-deep crater where the flames had struck.

"I told you I'd hold back," Shimizu said, a smirk on his face. His dark hair swayed in the wind, sunlight accentuating his sharp, chiseled features.

Mei Terumi's heart skipped a beat, her body growing inexplicably warm. She instinctively lowered her gaze.

"Is this kid for real? Are Konoha shinobi this powerful now?"

Zabuza Momochi had been ready to intervene but decided to hold back when he saw that Shimizu wasn't showing killing intent.

His heart sank. As one of Kirigakure's elite jōnin, he was well aware of the rising tension among the village's militant factions.

War could erupt within months, and if Konoha's shinobi were all this strong, Kirigakure would undoubtedly suffer significant losses.

"Return, Mei Terumi," Zabuza ordered.

A loss was a loss. Negotiating with the daimyō still had to proceed.

Especially now, with Konoha's overwhelming strength, this move was even more necessary.

"Lord Daimyō, we'll leave the task of suppressing the chaos in the Land of Demons to Konoha. Kirigakure has other matters to discuss with you," Zabuza said as he used the Body Flicker Technique to appear before the daimyō, seemingly beginning a private discussion.
