Chapter 86: Chapter 20

While the Uzumaki family enjoyed their peaceful breakfast, the world outside was far from serene. In Metropolis, Clark Kent, also known as Superman, was struggling with a crisis that had escalated far beyond his control.

The night before, Clark had made a grave mistake. In a heated argument with Lois Lane, he had ignored her needs and concerns, absorbed in his responsibilities as Superman. Lois, frustrated with his absences and lack of transparency, had confronted him fiercely. She questioned his commitment, accusing him of prioritizing his heroic duties over their relationship, especially when he was often surrounded by other powerful women like Wonder Woman. Her words had stung, and instead of trying to resolve the situation, Clark had lost his temper, allowing the argument to escalate until Lois had stormed out of their apartment, heartbroken and in tears.

Clark, frustrated with himself, had hoped he could fix things, thinking the fight could be mended with time. However, fate had something far worse in store for him. Lois, instead of returning to apologize or talk things through, had appeared at his office the next day, but something was different. There was a coldness in her eyes that hadn't been there before. It wasn't the Lois he knew.

"Clark," Lois spoke, but her voice was unnatural, empty of the warmth that usually filled her words. "I would be very happy if you could come peacefully, or else this woman dies."

Clark's heart dropped. The words were too familiar. He could tell she was being controlled, manipulated—he knew this wasn't Lois speaking. Yet, there was nothing he could do but try to remain calm. The thought of losing Lois tore at him, and he could feel the rage welling up inside him, threatening to consume him.

"I will follow," Clark replied through gritted teeth, his voice steady but filled with barely contained fury, "just don't hurt her. I will make you suffer worse than death if you do."

Lois's face remained blank, almost like a mask, as she nodded and led him to the elevator. The metallic doors closed behind them, and the moment they were alone, a portal shimmered into existence in the space before them, swirling with dark energy. Without hesitation, Lois stepped inside, and Clark, knowing he had no other choice, followed.

As he passed through the portal, he could feel the familiar weightlessness of space pulling at him. When he finally emerged, he found himself standing on the cold surface of the moon. The vast, silent emptiness stretched out before him, and for a moment, he couldn't help but feel a sense of isolation. Lois stood before him, her expression still vacant and cold. In her hands, dark magical energy flickered ominously.

"Do not resist," Lois instructed, her voice unchanged, but her tone was now empty of the affection and warmth Clark was used to. The Superman in him, the protector, wanted to charge forward and save her, but the situation was too precarious.

"Let her go first," Clark demanded, his voice filled with raw emotion. "I don't believe in the words of an enemy."

Lois's gaze never wavered. "What choice do you have? If you don't listen, then within five seconds she dies."

Clark's heart pounded in his chest as the familiar pain of losing Lois threatened to overwhelm him. His eyes flickered briefly to her, searching for any trace of the woman he loved, but it was clear that she was no longer herself. He clenched his fists, his muscles aching with the desire to break free from the invisible chains that held him back, but something was wrong. He could feel the mystical energy coiling around him, like invisible tendrils binding him, draining his strength.

"I can't break these chains," Clark thought, his mind racing. His body was weakening under the influence of the dark magic. His powers—his invulnerability—felt distant, as if they were being suppressed by an invisible force. It was unlike anything he had ever experienced before.

"He'el," Lois's voice called out, and as if summoned by her words, a figure descended from the sky with terrifying grace. He'el, the powerful and malevolent being from Clark's past, landed beside them. The moment Clark's eyes fell on him, the realization hit him hard—this was no simple fight. This was a trap set by someone far more dangerous than he could have anticipated.

He'el looked at Clark with cold, calculating eyes, a sinister smirk playing on his lips. "Just like I promised," Lois said, her voice still hollow, her eyes void of any recognition of the person she once was.

Clark's heart sank. The situation had taken a turn for the worse. Not only had Lois been manipulated, but she was now under the control of someone who had the power to break even his greatest defenses. He knew the League wouldn't be able to reach him in time. He was alone.

As He'el stood beside Lois, the magical chains around Clark tightened, pulling him down to his knees in surrender. He could feel the weight of his failures, the overwhelming guilt that had already been eating away at him since the argument with Lois. He had failed her again. But this time, the stakes were higher than ever before.

"Why don't you just make this easy on yourself, Clark?" He'el's voice dripped with venom. "There's no escape now. You're in our hands."

As the chains continued to tighten, Clark's mind raced. He couldn't lose Lois—not like this. But with his powers suppressed, what could he do? How could he fight an enemy who had the ability to control both him and the woman he loved?

The weight of the situation pressed down on him, but Clark refused to give in. He had faced impossible odds before. And he wouldn't stop now.

"Lois," he whispered, his voice filled with determination. "I will save you. I swear it."

He'el stood over Superman's body, a faint smirk playing on his lips. His posture was regal, his tone condescending as he addressed the other figure in the room.

"Very good. You have proved your words. I will provide assistance as promised," He'el said, his voice carrying an air of superiority.

The shadowy figure nearby shifted, revealing Trigon, the demon lord. His four burning eyes glinted with malice as he regarded He'el.

"Who are you?" Superman's voice broke the tension. His eyes fluttered open, but his body remained immobilized, held in place by the weight of Kryptonian technology and mystical chains.

"I am your brother," He'el said, his tone dripping with mockery. "I am here to save you from these humans. They have corrupted you, Kal-El, but fear not—I will restore you to your true path as a Kryptonian."

Clark's eyes narrowed, his fury simmering beneath his calm facade. "What do you mean? You're planning something wrong and expect me to help you. You think I'm blind to your intentions? I am not a child that you can sway with your twisted ideals."

He'el laughed, a deep, resonant sound that echoed in the chamber. "We will see, won't we?" he said dismissively. With a snap of his fingers, Clark fell unconscious once more, his body slumping into a restless, powerless state.

Trigon watched with mild interest, his hulking form looming in the dim light. "No more chit-chat. We need to strategize. My father has decreed that the enemy is strong," the demon said, his voice rumbling like distant thunder.

He'el turned, his expression darkening. "Who is this enemy?"

Trigon raised a clawed hand, and an image shimmered into existence—a figure with spiky blond hair, piercing blue eyes, and an unmistakable aura of power. "Naruto," the demon growled. "He has the ability to walk through dimensions and controls space to a degree. A troublesome foe."

He'el studied the image, his mind racing. He remained silent for a moment, his sharp features betraying his growing calculation. Finally, he spoke. "I have a plan."

Trigon's eyes glowed brighter. "What is it?"

He'el's smirk returned, sharp as a blade. "I will terraform this planet as I originally intended. That will undoubtedly draw him out. Superman will assist me, under my influence, and I will persuade Supergirl to leave Earth temporarily. She'll search for a crystal I was going to retrieve myself, but now, thanks to your assistance, I won't need to."

He paused, letting the gravity of his plan settle. "With Superman on my side and Supergirl out of the picture, the remaining heroes will be overwhelmed. This 'Raven' you've mentioned will have no choice but to surface, and then you can claim her."

Trigon chuckled, his laughter like an earthquake. "We will do it your way, Kryptonian. But more chaos will ensure our victory. I will move my pawns to sow disorder. This Naruto disrespected me, and it is time he pays the price."

The alliance between the Kryptonian and the demon lord solidified in that moment, an unholy partnership driven by power, pride, and vengeance. As their plan took shape, the Earth remained blissfully unaware of the storm that was about to be unleashed. But the chaos would not go unnoticed for long—Naruto, Superman's allies, and even Raven herself would soon be forced to respond.
