Chapter 109: Captured

"Raikage, I didn't expect you to be so afraid of death," said Chen with an arrogant smile, as he looked at the Raikage, who stood like a great wall in front of the Konoha troops.

"As the Kage of my village, it is my responsibility to protect my people!" roared the Raikage, his voice echoing like thunder.

"That's what it means to be a leader! It's my duty, and I will fulfill it to the end!"

Chen shook his head. "You know, you have a lot of courage, but you're also incredibly stubborn. You know you will fall today."

"There is no escape, Raikage. You will become my prisoner and serve as an example to all who dare to challenge my power!"

The Raikage raised his head proudly. "I will never be anyone's prisoner, especially not someone like you! I'd rather die fighting!"

Chen sighed indifferently. "Even though your decision is stupid, I must admit I respect your determination. But that won't change anything."

Then he turned to his men. "Capture the Raikage!"

The ninjas surrounding the Raikage attacked with everything they had. Jutsus, shuriken, explosive tags... everything was thrown at him.

But he activated his Lightning Release Chakra Mode, making his body shine with electricity. He resisted each attack, without showing a hint of weakness. With a single blow, he took down several members of the Sarutobi clan, breaking their bodies as if they were paper.

Those attacking the Raikage were members of the Sarutobi and Shimura clans. There were more than a thousand of them, but in the face of the Third Raikage's fury, their efforts were insignificant.

Every strike from the Raikage was devastating; every kick, lethal. In a matter of minutes, dozens of bodies lay lifeless at his feet.

Fear began to spread among the Sarutobi and Shimura clan ninjas. Some hesitated, others stepped back, and some even wanted to flee from the battle.

"If anyone dares retreat... I will kill them mercilessly!" Chen's voice rang out, cutting off any hope of escape.

"There is no place for cowards here! Either fight or die!"

The new head of the Sarutobi clan, watching his men fall one after another, finally exploded with indignation. "Chen Hyuga, this is inhumane! You are taking this too far! What grudge do you have against our family to treat us like this?"

Chen looked at him with a cynical smile and asked Yi, who was by his side. "Tell me, Yi, what is the crime of those who refuse to fight for their village, being part of the Hokage's clan?"

"This... this... I don't know," Yi swallowed, clearly in an uncomfortable position. He didn't want to confront either Chen or the clans.

"All of this is for the village. Their deaths will not be in vain. Thanks to their sacrifice, the Raikage will be worn down, and we will be able to capture him. As important clans of Konoha, shouldn't you be the first to step forward? Isn't it your duty to protect the village, even if it means sacrificing yourselves?"

The head of the Sarutobi clan opened his mouth, but no words came out. Chen had turned his protests to dust with just a few sentences, leaving him without arguments and without hope.

The Raikage, observing Konoha's internal conflict, burst into laughter. "Ha, ha, ha! This is the best thing that could happen to Kumogakure! Konoha fighting among themselves, killing each other like rabid dogs!" he shouted, his eyes burning with vigor.

Every strike was stronger, every kick fiercer, and the Sarutobi and Shimura ninjas could only watch in despair as they were taken down one by one.

The ninjas were desperate. Their attacks couldn't even scratch the Raikage's defense. Every attempt was in vain, and they were hunted down and killed without mercy.

"Chen Hyuga, you really plan to eliminate us! How will you explain this to the Hokage?" shouted the head of the Shimura clan.

"An explanation?"

Chen let out a laugh. "An explanation to the Hokage? I don't need to explain anything to anyone. They all died for Konoha, and the Hokage should be relieved that the burden they represent has been lightened."

He wasn't doing this without reason.

A few days ago, the Senju clan had been attacked from the rear, and fewer than ten of its members had survived. But the worst part was that no one knew who was responsible; there weren't even bodies left to provide clues.

Tsunade was devastated by the news, and only after days of constant comfort from Chen had she begun to recover.

He suspected that Danzo could be behind that attack.

He had no proof, but he didn't need any. Just the suspicion was enough for him to seek revenge. Danzo and his accomplice, Hiruzen, had to pay for what had happened. And now that he had the Sarutobi and Shimura clans under his control, there was no doubt that he would take the opportunity.

'I promised that while the members of these two clans were on the battlefield, none would return alive to Konoha.'

Thirty minutes later, the battlefield was covered in blood.

The ground was soaked in dark red, forming small streams. The Sarutobi and Shimura clan ninjas were almost all dead, while the Raikage still stood, panting and visibly exhausted.

It had to be acknowledged, the Raikage was a true monster. While Chen had the power of the system, the Raikage stood firm solely with his strength and indomitable will.

Seeing the deaths of the Sarutobi and Shimura clan members, some Konoha ninjas felt relief, others sadness, but no one dared to intervene.

Everyone understood that getting in Chen's way would only lead to a certain death.

"CHEN HYUGA, YOU'RE A DEMON! YOU WILL DIE FOR THIS!" shouted one of the few remaining members of the Sarutobi clan.

The survivors exchanged a look with the Raikage, but then, with a suicidal decision, they ran towards Chen, their faces filled with hatred.

"Yasakani no Magatama!"

From the sky, golden light bullets began to fall like rain upon the remnants of the Sarutobi and Shimura clans.

The rays of light descended like a divine judgment, annihilating the remaining ninjas. There was no mercy, no escape, only the flash of death.

When it was all over, the battlefield was desolate.

The bodies of the Sarutobi and Shimura clan members lay lifeless, pierced by the lights. The few members who had remained in the village were elderly, sick, incapable of fighting.

Both clans, once pillars of Konoha, were now reduced to nothing.

"At such a young age, you're cruel, cold-blooded, and show no mercy, even against your own people," said the Raikage, an endless coldness taking over his heart as he watched Chen's icy gaze.

The coldness of that boy seemed limitless; if he treated his own comrades this way, what wouldn't he do to his enemies?

"You are mistaken, Raikage. They were never my people."

"Now, it's your turn," said Chen as he slowly approached. "But don't worry, I still see some value in keeping you alive."

Appearing in front of the Raikage in a blink, taking the Gentle Fist Taijutsu stance.

The Raikage's pupils immediately contracted. He remembered all too well the last time he faced that attack, which had left him on the brink of death.

He knew he shouldn't underestimate it, so he tried to retreat as quickly as he could.

But although the Raikage was fast, he couldn't compare to Chen's speed.

"Eight Trigrams, One Hundred Twenty-Eight Palms!"

In a matter of seconds, a trigrams symbol enveloped the Raikage, and before he could react, he fell to his knees, spitting blood and unable to move.

The man, known for rivaling the tailed beasts, was now kneeling.

"You should be grateful," said Chen as he looked down at him. "You still have value. Otherwise, you would already be a corpse."

"If you're so skilled, kill me already!" roared the Raikage. He preferred death over living with such humiliation.

Chen gave a twisted smile, which made the Raikage's skin crawl.

"Kill you? What value does your death have for me? You're nothing but a tool, and as a prisoner, you will serve my interests better."

The Raikage was paralyzed.

He never thought that, in the end, his fate would be that of a prisoner, but the malice in Chen's eyes made him realize he had no other choice.

"What do you want?" he asked, trying to find some sliver of hope.

"A prisoner has no right to ask questions," Chen replied coldly, as he turned to leave. "Take him away!"

After he left, the battlefield was left in eerie silence. The remaining ninjas looked around, observing the shattered bodies.

"I can't believe how powerful the Hyuga Gentle Fist is," murmured one of the ninjas, still in shock. "He subdued the Raikage as if it was nothing..."

"Yes, it was incredible! I've never seen anything like it," said another.

The head of the Hyuga clan let out a bitter laugh. "It's not the Gentle Fist that's incredible. It's Chen who is. If I were asked to fight the Raikage, even if he stood still, I doubt I could even touch an acupuncture point."

Suddenly, the Hyuga head grew thoughtful. Something had been bothering him for a while. Chen didn't have the Byakugan, yet he used the Taijutsu.

How was that possible?

He had overlooked that detail before, but now he couldn't stop thinking about it. Despite trying, he couldn't find an answer. He decided to bury that question deep in his mind.

Asking Chen directly wasn't an option; he wanted to keep living and had no intention of challenging the demon.
