The severed head of a venomous snake can still deliver a fatal strike, let alone a weakened snake.

"Not feeling too good, are you?"

Hearing Kazuki's voice, Danzo remained silent, still facing the wall, showing no intention of replying.

"I'm genuinely curious," Kazuki continued, "why do you keep your eyes and arm wrapped in bandages all the time? Are you hiding something shameful in there?"

Kazuki spoke casually, adding.

"Today, while I was out, I ran into an interesting person. He had a lot in common with you—both like snakes, always hiding in the shadows to launch sneak attacks. This guy even tried to gouge out my eyes for his experiments."

Do you think the captain's words are true?

Kazuki's statement caught everyone's attention. Jiro and the others exchanged glances, trying to gauge the situation.

But most thought it unlikely. Perhaps the captain was just trying to provoke Danzo.

After all, who in Konoha would dare target Kazuki, let alone try to steal his eyes for experiments?

Surely, the captain was bluffing.

A snake that wanted to take eyes for experiments.

Hearing this, Danzo's emotions finally shifted.

A certain figure came to mind.

An emotional response.

Good.

Kazuki was very satisfied.

"For my safety, of course, I couldn't let that person succeed. So I used genjutsu to control him and interrogated him. Oops, during the interrogation, I accidentally uncovered some significant information—like something about the First Hokage's cells and suppressing them with Sharingan."

"?!?!"

The hints were so obvious now. If Danzo kept playing dumb, he'd truly be a fool.

"What are you talking about? Was it Orochimaru?"

Danzo completely lost his composure. He didn't care much about Root or even the village's secrets being leaked.

But information about himself? That was a different story.

"It was him."

Kazuki nodded with a smile.

"Orochimaru is currently receiving treatment at Konoha Hospital. Believe it or not, but if you didn't believe me, you wouldn't be this agitated."

Kazuki's gaze seemed to pierce through Danzo, uncovering all his secrets.

"Not everyone can turn themselves into something neither human nor ghost. Must be exhausting to keep up the disguise, huh? Oh, by the way, how many years has it been since you last went to the bathroom? Every trip must be just for show, right?"

A barrage of sharp, unsettling questions from Kazuki made Danzo's heart nearly jump out of his chest.

Orochimaru. It had to be Orochimaru!

If he didn't leak my secrets, how else would this brat Kazuki know about them?!

Danzo, usually composed, started to panic.

Why is the captain saying things I don't understand anymore?

Even asking about going to the bathroom—doesn't this old guy go daily?

To accommodate him, his cell had a specially constructed private bathroom—an arrangement made by the Third Hokage himself.

No other prisoners received such treatment.

"What do you want?!"

No matter if he was the Shadow Hokage or the head of Root, everyone had their weaknesses. Danzo normally appeared calm, but only because no one had ever struck his weak spot.

Now, it had been hit.

Even before capturing Orochimaru, Kazuki had already dropped hints.

Now, with Orochimaru caught, Kazuki could expose everything and shift the blame entirely onto Orochimaru. Even if Orochimaru himself denied it, he couldn't guarantee he hadn't said something under genjutsu.

There were countless ways to erase memories, and even Orochimaru couldn't be certain Kazuki hadn't done something to him during the process.

Kazuki suspected that Orochimaru would soon escape Konoha, leaving him to shoulder the blame.

"Captain, what are you talking about? Why is this old guy so agitated?"

Unable to hold back, Jiro stepped forward to ask.

The others also perked up their ears.

"Wouldn't you be agitated if your deepest secrets were exposed?"

Kazuki burst into laughter.

"While out earlier, I encountered Orochimaru, one of the legendary Sannin and a rogue ninja from our village. He tried to attack me but ended up under my genjutsu. During interrogation, I uncovered a lot of critical information—some of which pertained to Danzo. Oh, by the way, the misunderstanding between the village and the Uchiha clan is resolved. The Hokage has agreed to lift the surveillance on the Uchiha and stop targeting them."

"Really?"

Danzo froze in disbelief, while the others were visibly overjoyed—even Itachi looked surprised.

The captain controlled Orochimaru?

And interrogated vital secrets out of him?

Plus, the clan's misunderstanding with the village was resolved?

Itachi felt as though he was dreaming.

Shisui had worked tirelessly to address this issue for years, only to fail and end up alienated from both sides.

But now Kazuki had stepped up, and the Uchiha's situation improved daily. Was Shisui's approach all wrong?

Itachi couldn't help but question himself.

"Of course, it's true."

Kazuki smirked at Danzo.

"The mysterious figure who orchestrated the Nine-Tails attack on the village was a member of the Akatsuki organization. After Orochimaru defected, he joined the group. This figure had no connection to the Uchiha, so the misunderstanding has naturally been cleared."

"Besides, the Hokage isn't like certain old fossils who are hell-bent on targeting the Uchiha. Why do you think he's so against the Uchiha?"

Kazuki raised his voice, drawing the attention of even the distant guards.

Pointing at Danzo, Kazuki growled.

"This old thing, Shimura Danzo, secretly experimented with the First Hokage's cells, transplanting them into himself to wield Wood Release. But since the cells couldn't be controlled, he dug Sharingan out of fallen Uchiha on the battlefield and implanted them into himself."

"By doing so, he could suppress the cells of the First Hokage."

Transplanting Hashirama's cells but needing Uchiha Sharingan to suppress the side effects?

Kazuki's words stunned everyone, leaving Danzo speechless and visibly shaken.

It's over. Everything is over.

All the secrets Danzo had worked so hard to conceal were gone.

Damn Orochimaru!!!

So outrageous!

Some people quietly left, intending to report the news.

In the Hokage's office, where the Third Hokage and the elders had been gathered for some time, they were preparing to leave.

Just then, a ninja rushed in, forcefully pushing open the door.

Panting and kneeling, he urgently reported.

"Hokage-sama, Third Hokage-sama, elders, I have critical news to report!"

The Third Hokage paused, and the two elder advisors stopped as well.

Tsunade said, "Speak."
