"Understood."

The kneeling ninja spoke loudly.

"While stationed at the prison, I noticed something unusual with Uchiha Kazuki of the Uchiha clan. Today, after returning from outside the prison, his behavior was somewhat abnormal. Just now, he began saying... strange things to Danzo-sama. I felt this matter should be reported immediately."

"He said strange things to Danzo?"

Tsunade frowned slightly. Was something like this really worth reporting?

It seemed excessive.

Well, better to clarify things first.

"What exactly did he say? Tell me in detail."

"Yes."

"Kazuki claimed that he used genjutsu to control the rogue ninja Orochimaru and interrogated him for a lot of information, some of which pertained to Danzo."

"He appeared very angry and accused Danzo of targeting the Uchiha to collect their Sharingan. He said Danzo had transplanted cells from the First Hokage into his body and was using the Sharingan to suppress the backlash."

"...."

No way—could Danzo really have such a secret?

Tsunade sharply turned her gaze to the Third Hokage, who looked stunned and immediately shook his head.

"I have no knowledge of this."

"Neither do we," the two elder advisors hurriedly added, distancing themselves from the issue.

They wanted no part of this.

Damn it, Danzo—just how many secret schemes have you been hiding?!

"To the prison!!!"

Tsunade dismissed her suspicions about why Kazuki hadn't reported this earlier and instead decided to question him directly.

The Third Hokage and the advisors quickly followed as the group rushed to the prison.

When they arrived, Kazuki was still verbally tearing into Danzo.

"This old bastard! For power, for suppressing the cells of the First Hokage, he desecrates the corpses of his own kin! But because he's part of the village's leadership, we're powerless to stop him!"

"That bastard! I'll kill you!!!"

The hot-tempered Uchiha Jiro looked ready to kill, his fury barely contained as he glared daggers at Danzo.

"Stop!!!"

Tsunade arrived with her entourage.

"Lady Hokage, Lord Third, elders."

Jiro reluctantly calmed down, and the others quickly bowed in greeting.

Tsunade waved dismissively and strode forward, glaring at Kazuki.

"Why didn't you report such critical information earlier?"

"I was afraid no one would believe me. Only when I probed him and Danzo panicked could I confirm that the information I got from interrogating Orochimaru was true. I suspect that beneath the parts of Danzo's body that are covered, he has implanted many Sharingan."

In the original timeline, Danzo hadn't managed to collect many Sharingan after the Uchiha massacre, as most had been taken by Obito.

"Don't do this again!"

Tsunade shot Kazuki a glare before turning her furious gaze to Danzo. She wanted to berate him but found herself speechless at the sight of his ashen face, his head still held high in stubborn defiance.

"Danzo, is this true?"

The Third Hokage stepped forward, his voice sharp and accusatory.

The previous accusations were already staggering, yet Danzo had remained in prison unscathed.

But if targeting the Uchiha was truly about seizing their Sharingan, Danzo was finished.

Tsunade's patience with Danzo had long since run out. Any further severe accusations would prompt her to take decisive action—not only because she couldn't endure him anymore, but also because the Uchiha clan deserved an explanation.

Otherwise, if the Uchiha seized on this and made a scene, it would become a massive issue.

"Hmph!!!"

Danzo, though still physically frail, had regained some of his usual arrogance. He snorted dismissively, refusing to answer the Third Hokage's questions.

This was as good as an admission.

"Why?"

Targeting the Uchiha wasn't Sarutobi-sensei's will?

Wasn't it for the sake of the village?

Wasn't it because of the Nine-Tails Night?

Danzo, what are you doing?

"Why did you do this?"

It was one thing to target the Uchiha or covet their Sharingan, but taking it further by targeting the village's own ninja on the battlefield? Such actions were even more egregious than using villagers for experiments—utterly intolerable for any shinobi.

"Everything I have done is for the village!!!"

Perhaps Danzo had suppressed himself for too long. Faced with the Third Hokage's relentless questioning, he finally exploded.

"The Uchiha clan is inherently evil! They can never integrate into the village. Keeping them around will inevitably bring disaster!!! Look at this Uchiha Kazuki! I told you he wasn't trustworthy, but you, Sarutobi Hiruzen, kept giving in to him again and again!"

"Enough!!!"

The Third Hokage could no longer listen and cut Danzo off.

Around them, the reactions varied—some were furious, others resigned.

The Uchiha members were undoubtedly livid. Hearing such remarks about their clan would enrage any of them.

Those accompanying the Third Hokage, however, were filled with helpless frustration.

Sure, there was tension and misunderstanding between the village and the Uchiha, and many villagers disliked them.

But Danzo's words were too much.

What did he mean the Uchiha could never integrate into the village? That they were destined to bring disaster?

If that were true, how had the Uchiha survived in Konoha all these years and coexisted with the villagers?

Such claims were utter nonsense.

And what about the Hyuga clan? They were even colder toward the villagers—why wasn't anyone calling them a threat?

Danzo had gone mad.

He's lost it—the old bastard has completely lost it!!!

Tsunade was so furious she nearly had a heart attack. Even now, Danzo was still making excuses, trying to justify himself with "everything I did was for the village."

Oh, right, right—you're always right.

Kazuki couldn't help but sarcastically applaud Danzo.

In the tense atmosphere, Kazuki's reaction stood out like a sore thumb.

The crisp sound of his clapping made the Third Hokage and the two elder advisors feel their faces burning.

Because it felt like mockery—mockery of them for once describing the Uchiha in the same way, for justifying their actions with the same excuses.
