NARUTO: SECOND GOD OF SHINOBI

Chapter 128: Fighting Kazekage, War Ends

---

As Yamamoto captured Chiyo, the battle of his squad was also nearing completion.

Almost all the Suna ninja had been restrained, with only two or three still fighting.

Seeing this, Yamamoto sent a burst of chakra to help subdue the remaining enemies.

With that done, he turned his attention to the Kazekage's battle and the Iwa-Kirihara confrontation.

What he saw was desolation. With a single wave of Iron Sand, the Kazekage had swept away nearly every weapon, forcing the remaining ninja to fight barehanded.

Then, another sweep of the Iron Sand crushed ten elite jonin and restrained the commander of Iwa-Kirihara, completely shattering his arms.

Yamamoto murmured, "Truly, every Kazekage may not be the strongest in individual combat, but in group battles, a single attack destroys every preparation.

Even if they hadn't developed Magnet Release with the modern foundation of magnetism, this kind of attack is solid for group battle."

As Yamamoto's gaze locked onto the Kazekage, the latter turned his attention toward him as well. Soon, his voice echoed through senjutsu telepathy.

"What do you say, Yama? Should we settle this with a bout?"

Yamamoto responded, "Okay then, let's act."

He then spoke aloud, "Kazekage, release them now, or Chiyo and Ebizo will die right here."

A suffocating killing intent surged from the Kazekage as he replied coldly, "Brat, release them, or I will send a wave and crush every Iwa ninja present."

As he spoke, the Iron Sand shifted, forming a tsunami-like mass hovering above the Iwa forces, ready to be unleashed.

Seeing this, Yamamoto's expression remained calm. "Are you sure, Kazekage? Killing Iwa ninja is one thing, but what about Chiyo and Ebizo? Losing two S-rank ninja in one day?

We are already out of Kage-level combatants, but I can take both of them down along with the sixty jonin present.

Think about the loss. Suna would not be able to recover even after two decades, especially after your recent purge."

A flicker of hope reignited in some of the Iwa ninja. Among them, a few from the mixed faction spoke up.

"Don't worry about us, Lord Yamamoto. Commander Kirihara has already been killed, along with ten jonin.

We are ready to sacrifice ourselves so that Suna suffers a blow they can't recover from."

Another voice chimed in, "Yes, Lord Yamamoto, don't hesitate! Killing a hundred Iwa ninja is nothing compared to the death of two Kage-level enemies. We are ready to sacrifice ourselves."

More and more voices erupted in agreement, even some from the elder council faction, who, after contemplating the situation, also steeled themselves for sacrifice.

The Kazekage suddenly made his move, executing a nearby elder faction jonin without hesitation.

In response, Yamamoto spat out molten lava, incinerating one of the jonin standing before him.

Bloodcurdling screams filled the air.

"AAAAARRRGH!"

Yamamoto's eyes remained unwavering as he spoke, "Kazekage, for every ninja you kill, I will not back down.

I will kill one of your jonin here. If you won't back down, then let's do it your way."

Sweeping his gaze over his troops, Yamamoto's eyes softened with sorrow.

With tears in his eyes, he spoke, "Everyone, I am sorry. I hope you forgive my selfishness. But if we release these two Kage-level ninja, Iwa might not withstand future attacks.

If that happens, the village, the civilians, your families… they will all perish in the next war. I hope you forgive me."

"For Iwa!"

His last words rang across the battlefield.

The Iwa ninja had tears in their eyes. Some wept, but they came to terms with the grim reality.

They understood—no matter how powerful Lord Yamamoto was, against three S-rank shinobi, even he would be overwhelmed.

"For Iwa!"

One by one, they roared, their wills burning like an unyielding fire.

The Kazekage watched, seemingly amazed by their resolve.

Yamamoto, however, did not stop there. "Kazekage, you may kill them, but I will not stop.

After killing these two and all sixty jonin, I will come to Suna—again and again, day after day—massacring your village to avenge the fallen souls here.

Remember, you will be the eternal sinner of Suna, sinking it into the depths of hell."

As his words rang through the battlefield, Yamamoto unleashed his enormous chakra, shaking the very air.

His sheer presence reassured the Iwa ninja of a future where their sacrifice would not be in vain.

The Kazekage, sensing the shift in momentum, hesitated before finally backing down.

"Alright, I will back down, but in return, prove your strength. If those two die, I will destroy the Iwa village," the Kazekage declared.

Hearing this, Yamamoto spoke, "Alright, Kazekage, let's call back our forces."

Soon, both Suna and Iwa ninja backed away, and Yamamoto handed 60 ninja to his confidant.

They arrived in the middle of the battlefield, standing against each other.

Yamamoto erupted with chakra, covering his body with a coat of lava, and spoke, "Let's begin, Kazekage."

He sped forward, while the Kazekage manipulated his chakra, sending iron sand towards Yamamoto. Without stopping, Yamamoto pierced through the iron sand.

As the sand came into contact with the extremely high temperature of his lava, the iron particles melted, displacing the sand particles as he passed through.

Seeing this, both sides' ninjas were astonished.

"Come on, Lord Yamamoto! Defeat the Kazekage!" one of the Iwa ninja shouted.

Soon, cheers erupted as Yamamoto easily pierced through the Kazekage's iron sand.

As he approached, the Kazekage swept his iron sand, forming a protective sphere around himself.

Yamamoto lifted his right fist, boiling with lava, and punched the iron sand sphere.

The extreme heat melted a large portion of it, but the sphere ultimately stopped his advance.

Seeing this, a Suna ninja laughed. "Haha! How can iron sand be this easy to stop? You don't know! The current generation Kazekage is said to be the strongest!"

Suna's troops cheered in response.

Yamamoto channeled more lava, causing his fist to double in size.

With increased intensity, he successfully pierced the sand dome, forcing the Kazekage to back away.

"Your strength is impressive," the Kazekage acknowledged. "This must be the Kekkei Genkai of Lava Style, a rarity in Iwa."

"Yes," Yamamoto replied. "I awakened it ten days ago."

Without hesitation, Yamamoto weaved hand seals.

"Lava Style: Great Eruption Wave!"

An enormous amount of lava erupted from him, sweeping toward the Kazekage.

The Kazekage countered by releasing more iron sand, but this time, the lava began to overpower it.

The extreme heat melted the iron particles and displaced the sand, pushing forward like a tsunami.

Without hesitation, the Kazekage manipulated the iron sand, forming a thick wall over one meter in thickness and ten meters tall.

The lava wave slammed into the iron sand wall and was halted.

However, Yamamoto didn't stop. He manipulated the lava, dispersing it around the iron sand wall, allowing the molten flow to spread toward the Kazekage.

The Kazekage swiftly backed away, positioning more iron sand in his defense.

"You are powerful, brat," the Kazekage admitted. "Now I understand why Chiyo and Ebizo lost to you."

"You are powerful as well, Kazekage," Yamamoto replied. "Despite lava naturally suppressing iron sand, you defended gracefully."

Yamamoto then weaved another set of hand seals.

"Lava Style: Volcanic Earth Eruption!"

The ground beneath the Kazekage suddenly exploded as lava burst out like a miniature volcano.

Sensing the danger, the Kazekage reacted instantly, forming an iron sand semi-sphere around his legs to shield himself.

Even so, the powerful eruption launched him into the air.

Yamamoto didn't let up. He weaved another set of hand seals.

"Lava Style: Meteor Eruption!"

More than ten massive lava balls, each over ten meters in size, erupted from his mouth.

They ascended rapidly before descending at terrifying speed, igniting into blazing meteors.

The Kazekage quickly manipulated his iron sand, countering by destroying the incoming meteors one by one while also dodging the powerful explosions that followed.

The heat from the compressed lava bursts forced him to retreat.

After evading the barrage, sweat trickled down his forehead, his breath slightly heavier.

"Well done, brat," the Kazekage admitted. "You impressed me. I am ready to back away, as I promised, but you must release Chiyo, Ebizo, and the sixty captured Jonin. How about it? Are you ready?"

Yamamoto responded, "I am a peace-loving person, Kazekage. If you sign an agreement to withdraw and end this war, I will accept your terms."

The Kazekage nodded, while Chiyo and Ebizo, having witnessed Yamamoto's overwhelming strength, finally realized just how powerful he was.

He had managed to hold his own against the Kazekage.

Soon, both sides reached a consensus.

After two hours, an agreement was drafted to officially end the war between Iwa and Suna.

There would be reparations, as Iwa had the control over two S-rank ninja, despite seeing the agreement Kazekage agreed to reparations as Yamamoto didn't demand for too much.

Meanwhile, Suna's remaining forces still outnumbered Iwa significantly.
