Naruto : Sequence 0 Visionary

Uchiha Sogetsu sat calmly on the tall bronze bench in the corpse cathedral.

His deep, distant light golden eyes pierced through the Sea of Collective Subconscious of all living beings. Through others' mental gateways, he observed everything happening in Konoha, taking it all in.

Just as planned, the tide of the times had shifted off track and was now moving in the direction he had hoped for.

"Now... it's time."

For this moment, Uchiha Sogetsu had prepared for three years.

He was about to journey to the mysterious moon to uncover the secrets hidden deep within this world.

Uchiha Sogetsu pressed his hand against the armrest and slowly rose from the bronze chair.

The island of consciousness in the depths of the subconscious sea rippled with a force, sending waves throughout.

A manipulator at Sequence 4 could create virtual personalities, but that was never enough. So, over the past three years, he had quietly hypnotized tens of thousands of living beings, drawing a fragment of their soul from the depths of each being's consciousness and giving it "awareness."

In this way, a nearly perfect "avatar" had been created.

As he rose from his seat, a pure consciousness was left behind on the bronze chair.

This consciousness slowly solidified, becoming like a real life, shedding its hazy, dim glow.

It had curled light golden hair and a beard, with a humble and gentle demeanor, wearing a simple white robe, a cross pendant hanging from its chest, and eyes as clear and pure as a child's.

"Hello, Adam."

"Hello, Sogetsu."

The two exchanged a glance, and thoughts flowed between their eyes.

Adam had inherited some Beyonder Characteristics, possessing the power of Sequence 4 Manipulator, along with the same memories and thoughts.

In a certain sense, he was Uchiha Sogetsu.

"Next, it's yours, Adam."

Uchiha Sogetsu looked at 'Adam' and handed over a yellowed notebook: "You should know what to do."

"The Groselle's Travels, huh? I understand."

Adam took the notebook from his hands. After pausing to glance at it, he fixed his gaze on Sogetsu and said in a calm tone, "The 'Divine Kingdom' of the 'Dragon of Imagination', the City of Miracles, Liveseyd, from a rank perspective, is indeed enough to seal the corruption of the 'Mother Goddess of Depravity.' But…"

He paused slightly, his light golden eyebrows furrowing with a hint of confusion. "Wouldn't it be more useful to bring it along?"

The Groselle's Travels was a Mystical Item created by the 'Dragon of Imagination,' Ankewelt, using the authority of the Sequence 0 'Visionary' Inside it was sealed his divine kingdom, the City of Miracles, Liveseyd, as well as the 'corruption' from God.

In terms of rank, it definitely surpassed the lingering corruption of the Mother Goddess of Depravity on the moon.

Among the items Sogetsu currently possessed, the Groselle's Travels was undoubtedly the most valuable and of the highest rank. 

Yet, for this very reason, Adam couldn't understand why Sogetsu would leave the Groselle's Travels behind when going to the moon.

"No, I must leave it here."

Uchiha Sogetsu shook his head, his gaze deep as he stared at the notebook. There was a trace of caution and wariness in his tone as he explained, "While the Mother Goddess of Depravity is troublesome, this notebook is the real problem for me. If it's not absolutely necessary, I'd rather leave it to gather dust than take it out."

"You mean Ankewelt?"

Adam, inheriting his memories, naturally guessed what Sogetsu was thinking.

The Groselle's Travels wasn't just a Mystical Item with the rank of Sequence 0. In essence, it was one of the resurrection backups arranged by Ankewelt, the Dragon of Imagination.

In the LOTM world view, the higher the sequence rank of an extraordinary being, the greater their suppression over beings of the same rank. 

And when it came to the arrangements of true gods, caution was always required, or else any mistake could turn into someone else's gain.

"Not entirely. You forgot about the 'big guy.'"

A bitter smile appeared on Sogetsu's lips as he rubbed his furrowed brow and sighed, "Inside the Groselle's Travels is also sealed the 'corruption' of 'God.'"

This 'God' is not the same as the one you might think of. It refers to a being with the status of the "Great Old Ones," a power greater than that of Gods. 

This 'God' is one of the "Three Pillars" and embodies the uniqueness of containing the five omniscient and omnipotent paths, fully encompassing the primordial chaos sea. It is also one of the personalities that separated from the "Primordia One".

In other words, in front of this 'God,' the Mother Goddess of Depravity is nothing at all.

This 'God' only needs one word to transform the 'Mother Goddess of Depravity' into the 'Pure Love War God.' That's the difference between the two.

He would rather be corrupted by the Mother Goddess of Depravity than by this 'God,' because if you had to compare the two, the former might still offer a glimmer of hope, while the latter leaves no chance for survival.

"Now that I think about it, leaving it here with me seems more appropriate," Adam said thoughtfully. "Anything related to the 'Great Old Ones' must never be taken lightly." He sighed. "This will be a very dangerous journey."

"If I had a choice, I wouldn't want to go," Uchiha Sogetsu responded lightly, not showing much concern. "But since it's an invitation from the 'System,' I suppose we have to see it through."

"Are you confident?" Adam asked, still frowning, his unease growing. He couldn't shake the feeling that this dangerous journey would end badly.

Perhaps his unease stemmed from his memory of the story of Emperor Rossell. The corruption from higher-tier beings was extremely deadly to those from lower tiers.

"Confidence? Maybe... I just hope it goes smoothly." Uchiha Sogetsu shared Adam's unease, though he kept it hidden.

This would be the first time they would face an Outer God from the mysterious world—a true 'Great Old One.'

Adam, sitting on the bronze bench, slowly closed his eyes. After a moment, he spoke. "If something goes wrong, I will destroy you."

"That's exactly what I want," Sogetsu replied calmly.

Hearing this, Uchiha Sogetsu smiled, unfazed.

"Then... I will revive you."

Adam paused for a few seconds, looking at him. His pale golden eyes rippled slightly as he spoke.

"That's right."

Uchiha Sogetsu nodded and said, "And this is part of my plan. You are my backup for resurrection."

"Let me correct you, not the only one."

Adam looked at him meaningfully, speaking faintly.

"Heh~"

Uchiha Sogetsu chuckled lightly, "Who knows? Maybe you really are the only one."

"In a way, you don't seem like 'God Almighty,'" Adam said, a barely noticeable smile on his lips. "Your way of doing things is more like 'Lord of Mysteries.'"

"Spare me, I don't want to be 'Lord of Mysteries.'"

Uchiha Sogetsu shook his head, laughing. "It's too hated, being that way isn't a good thing."

The two fell into a brief silence, before, as if on cue, they both laughed.

"Now, this place belongs to you."

With all preparations complete, Uchiha Sogetsu no longer hesitated and stepped toward the outside of the corpse church.

Watching his retreating figure, Adam, sitting on the bronze bench, gazed with deep, pale golden eyes until the figure disappeared from view. 

Only then did he slowly lower his gaze, like a lifelike stone sculpture. After a long while, he finally spoke softly, "I wish you success, and hope everything goes smoothly."
