"Captain, what should we do!?"

A nervous Iwa-nin, sweat dripping down his forehead, looked anxiously at his squad leader, waiting for instructions.

The rest of the Iwa-nin also turned to the captain with tense expressions, their fates now hinging on his decision.

The captain glanced at his subordinates, understanding the concern in their eyes. It was clear none of them wanted to engage with the terrifying figure ahead.

He couldn't blame them—after all, the individuals from Las Noches displayed overwhelming power. Facing opponents capable of annihilating them in seconds was a nightmare.

With a heavy heart, the Iwa-nin captain considered the situation briefly before issuing his command.

"Ignore him. Continue retreating!"

Hearing his words, the squad let out sighs of relief. They cast wary glances at Ulquiorra and the bodies of their fallen comrades before melting into the shadows of the forest under cover of night.

Rustle...

The sound of movement echoed faintly through the dark woods.

Ulquiorra's cold, emerald-green eyes shifted briefly toward the retreating noise. His voice was calm and emotionless.

"Retreating without a fight?"

He slowly raised his hand, studying his pale palm with a murmur.

"Fortunately, this body can still exert some power. Otherwise, fulfilling Lord Aizen's orders might have been difficult."

As he finished speaking, he extended one finger. A pale green light began to shimmer at the tip.

Hummm—

A faint hum resonated as Ulquiorra's robe fluttered against an unseen wind. The once-dark forest was illuminated by the vivid green glow.

At his fingertip, a massive green sphere nearly a meter in diameter formed, pulsing with power. The surrounding air seemed to ripple as energy continuously converged into the orb.

Hiss!

With a sharp noise, the green orb rapidly contracted, its enormous energy condensed into a black sphere no larger than a fingertip. The surrounding space seemed to distort, collapsing inward as though unable to contain the energy.

This was no ordinary Cero. It was a Cero Oscuras, a technique of unparalleled destructive force unique to the Espada of Las Noches, so powerful it was banned within their fortress by Aizen himself.

In his current state, unable to utilize his Resurrección, this was Ulquiorra's most effective choice.

With an impassive expression, he tilted his head slightly, his gaze fixed on the shadowy forest ahead.

And then—

Boom—

A thunderous explosion erupted, and blinding light engulfed the forest. The condensed Cero Oscuras unleashed its destructive force, expanding into a massive green beam that cut through the darkness.

The beam streaked across the forest like a blade of light, leaving utter devastation in its wake. From above, the path of the beam was a glaring scar through the pitch-black forest—a vast, smoldering trench surrounded by charred earth and broken trees.

Rustle...

Far off, an elderly man with a scarred face strode confidently through the woods. A faint mist trailed behind him, dissolving into the air.

Noticing the brilliant green light, the man narrowed his eyes and chuckled hoarsely.

"Oh? Someone made Ulquiorra angry?"

"To use the Cero Oscuras... how amusing. But I suppose, under the circumstances, he had no other choice. Even I've grown so weak."

His voice grew cold, yet his words carried a strange pride.

"But the world will eventually belong to us once more. I am, after all, still Baraggan Luisenbarn—the eternal emperor!"

With those words, he gazed greedily into the forest, anticipation gleaming in his eyes.

Elsewhere...

A tall figure walked silently, moving away from Konoha. He turned his head slightly, catching sight of the green beam in the distance. A faint smile curved his lips.

"Ulquiorra used Cero Oscuras, huh? It seems this human body still hinders him greatly."

His gaze deepened, and he muttered, "There's no choice but to wait. Until my research is complete, everything must remain in stasis."

Beside him, a voice spoke lightly.

"Such terrifying power... is this the strength of your subordinates, Lord Aizen?"

A pale figure, wrapped in the form of a pitcher plant, clicked his tongue in awe.

Aizen glanced at him with a faint smile, his voice smooth and magnetic.

"Zetsu, would you like to wield such power yourself?"

Zetsu froze, his mouth agape.

"Me? That kind of power... it's beyond anything I could imagine. That's not something a human could achieve."

Aizen shook his head, his eyes gleaming with an enigmatic light.

"Why confine power to the limitations of a human body? In many ways, the human form is a shackle."

He continued, his voice tinged with contemplation.

"The human body is fragile, inferior to many other beings. Humanity's dominance over the world stems solely from their intelligence."

"As for Madara and his plans—haven't they already deceived most people?"

Zetsu chuckled lightly.

"True, but hasn't he also fallen into your plans, Lord Aizen?"

Aizen smiled faintly.

"You're only half correct, Zetsu. I don't fully grasp Madara's goals, but whatever they are, he's already within my calculations."

Zetsu smirked, his tone mocking.

"Madara doesn't consider you a threat. That will be his greatest regret."

Aizen's gaze sharpened, his smile unwavering.

"Relying on human limitations is a dull exercise—there's no challenge in it."

Turning to Zetsu, he added, "Be patient. You have great potential. Perhaps one day, you'll even rival the gods."

Zetsu froze, stunned, before dropping to his knees in reverence.

"Thank you, Lord Aizen!"

Accepting the gesture calmly, Aizen said, "Let's go. The conflict here will persist for some time. Due to certain adjustments, we must temporarily wait."

Zetsu nodded, following Aizen into the darkness.

Far behind them, the forest lay in ruins. The fleeing Iwa-nin were obliterated, their lives snuffed out in an instant by the devastating Cero Oscuras. A vast trench split the land, surrounded by scorched earth and broken trees.
