Naruto: Starting with Snatching the Mangekyō Sharingan

Chapter 173: Chapter 173: Interrogation Results

"I understand the individual words, but why is it so hard to make sense of them together…?" Might Guy muttered under his breath.

"…," Kakashi sighed in resignation, giving up entirely.

Before long, the staff from Biotech administered the Sublimation Serum to all the present shinobi.

"Kakashi, do you feel anything unusual?" Guy asked in a low voice from the observation room.

Kakashi opened his eyes, calm and composed. "Not yet. This is only the first injection. The effects won't manifest so quickly. According to the staff, it takes consistent injections over a month to see noticeable results. After a year, there will be significant improvement, and with three years, the transformation will be complete."

"I'd love to skip ahead three years and see just how effective this serum is! At the very least, it's supposed to double our strength…" Guy said, his voice filled with anticipation.

Despite the loss of his father, Might Duy, during the Nine-Tails' rampage, Guy's personality remained as vibrant and optimistic as ever.

Kakashi glanced at him and warned, "Don't forget what the staff advised earlier. From now on, you need to adjust your training intensity. Overdoing it could hinder the serum's effectiveness."

"Haha…" Guy laughed heartily. "Don't worry, Kakashi. For the sake of defeating you, I'll follow their instructions to the letter."

"Defeat me? You're still far from it." Kakashi shrugged, unconcerned.

Guy had challenged him numerous times, all ending in failure. As a prodigy, Kakashi understood that his current abilities had reached a certain limit, placing him on par with the village's elite Jonin.

All he needed was to refine his techniques and choose a path for further development to reach new heights. Guy, however, still had a long journey ahead. His Strong Fist technique was formidable, but it relied heavily on physical prowess. The Eight Gates, while powerful, placed an immense burden on his body, making it impractical for regular sparring.

Still, Kakashi held high expectations for Guy's future. During the Nine-Tails' attack, even as a Jonin, Kakashi had felt the impact of Might Duy opening the Gate.

"Perhaps, in the not-so-distant future, Guy's strength might surpass mine," Kakashi thought to himself.

Unlike others, Kakashi wasn't obsessed with pushing his limits at any cost. After enduring multiple personal tragedies, his current laid-back attitude was already an improvement. Anyone with less resilience would have likely crumbled under the weight.

...

While Kakashi and the others completed their first round of serum injections, Akira arrived at Konoha's prison.

Ten days had passed since the war ended, and the interrogation of Kumogakure and Iwagakure captives was nearing completion. The intelligence extracted from their minds had proven invaluable.

"Hokage-sama, this is the interrogation department's report summarizing the key findings from the interrogation of Kumogakure and Iwagakure's high-ranking individuals. Please review it," said a scarred young shinobi, bowing respectfully as he held a stack of reports.

Akira nodded. "Thank you, Inhibi. Place them on the table."

After placing the files on the desk, Inhibi turned and left. Akira began flipping through the documents, nodding occasionally.

The captured intel was indeed significant, especially the array of ninjutsu and secret techniques held by Kumogakure and Iwagakure. As for spy networks, most operatives had fled Konoha at the first sign of trouble, rendering the information less relevant.

The true treasures were the extracted jutsu and methods for developing unique Kekkei Genkai:

Lava Release, Storm Release, Boil Release…

These included ways to artificially develop bloodline limits—a resource of immeasurable value. Properly utilized, they could potentially add several Kage-level shinobi or even new clans to Konoha's ranks.

Of particular note was the Dust Release inherited from the Tsuchikage. A fusion of Wind, Earth, and Fire chakra natures, Dust Release could disintegrate matter at the molecular level. It was an undeniably destructive technique, capable of bypassing even the strongest defenses like Wood Release or Susanoo. Aside from sealing techniques from the Rinnegan, Dust Release was virtually unstoppable.

"The Lightning Chakra Mode and Lightning Armor from Kumogakure are also promising," Akira remarked with satisfaction.

Both techniques, while only B-rank, required immense chakra reserves to master, making them inaccessible to most shinobi.

"Unfortunately, there aren't many in the village who meet the criteria for these techniques," Akira sighed, shaking his head.

Despite their strength, these techniques were highly demanding, requiring substantial chakra reserves as a foundation. Without that, their power would be significantly diminished. Only a handful of individuals in the village—barely enough to count on one hand—showed potential: Uzumaki Naruto, Karin, Uchiha Sasuke, and himself.

Naruto and Karin, as members of the Uzumaki Clan, naturally possessed vast chakra reserves. Combined with the Nine-Tails sealed within them, their potential only grew over time.

Sasuke, while slightly behind them, wasn't far off. As an Uchiha, his chakra reserves were impressive, and with a portion of the Nine-Tails sealed within him and future injections of the Sublimation Serum, his potential was undeniable.

"Impressive resources," Akira muttered as he finished skimming the files. Summoning an ANBU member, he pointed to the stack and instructed, "Deliver these to the three advisors. Have them integrate appropriate techniques into the Academy curriculum or seal them within the Scroll of Forbidden Jutsu as needed."

"Yes, Hokage-sama." The ANBU appeared swiftly, carefully gathering the files and scrolls before vanishing.

Akira then turned and headed toward the prison's deepest cells, where the likes of the Raikage and Kitsuchi were held.

"Damn Konoha! Let me out of here!"

The Raikage's enraged roar echoed down the corridor as Akira approached. He glanced at the guards stationed outside the cell.

"Has he been like this the entire time?"

"Yes, Hokage-sama," the guard replied respectfully.

Akira nodded and gestured for the door to be opened. Entering the cell, he walked in with a relaxed demeanor, hands clasped behind his back.

With a faint smile, Akira addressed the battered Raikage.

"Raikage, how are you finding your accommodations in Konoha? Comfortable?"

The Raikage, his right arm severed at the shoulder and his muscular torso covered in scars, glared at Akira with bloodshot eyes.
