Naruto, The Perfect Shinobi

Early in the next morning;

Tsunade and Naruto are standing in front of the almost empty and quiet academy. This time period is the mid-academy year break so the academy only has some teachers and working staff with no students in sight. 

"Go on Naruto. Your written exam will start in your classroom, then you will have your practical exam after that." said Tsunade making Naruto nod.

"Good luck, Naru. I will see you later." said Tsunade with a small smile

"Thanks, mum. You don't need to worry about anything." said Naruto with confident smile as he walked toward the academy.

Tsunade watched Naruto enter the academy before leaving and going towards the Hokage office.

Inside the Classroom;

Naruto found two Chunin instructors as he enter the classroom.

"Naruto Uzumaki?" asked one of the two chunin to which Naruto nodded. Both knew who Naruto is, but they ask as a way of formality.

"Take a seat to begin the written exam for your early graduation" said the other chunin.

Naruto went to the front seat near the instructors before sitting down.

One of the instructors came towards Naruto with two sets of papers and put them in front of Naruto making him give the chunin a questioning look.

The chunin pointed at the first set of papers and said; "This papers are your written exam papers you have an hour to complete them." 

Then he pointed to the second set of papers and said: " This is an IQ test that the Hokage and jonin commander told me to give you. You also have an hour to finish that after the written exam." making Naruto raise and eyebrow in curiosity before shrugging.

"you may start Now." said one of the chunin as both of them took a seat to monitor Naruto as he started his exam. As Naruto starts his exam, He looked up to what seemed to be an empty space. He looked there for a couple of moments before returning to his exam papers.

In the Hokage's office;

"That boy's sensory abilities are extraordinary." said Hiruzen as he looked at a crystal sphere that showed the classroom that Naruto is in. Hiruzen could feel as if Naruto was looking at him through the sphere. In front of his disk Tsunade and Shikaku stood watching what is happening.

"You two didn't tell me you are going to give my son an IQ test." said Tsunade with a slight heat in her tone.

"Sorry about that, Tsunade. Shikaku asked me to give Naruto that test about a month ago. It is my fault that you didn't know, I was still busy with the after effects of the Kyuubi's attack so I forgot to inform you." said Hiruzen with a small apologetic smile making Tsunade nod slightly and Shikaku to let out a silent sigh of relief.

"Have you figured out who are you going intrust with being Naruto's Jonin-sensei?" asked Shikaku in a lazy tone.

Hiruzen stayed quiet for a while after hearing the Question. He then said: "I still haven't made a decision on that. I am going to have Naruto spar with one of my ninja after his practical exam to see what level the boy is at and to give me an idea of whom to put as his Jonin-sensei."

"Why don't you just appoint me as his Jonin-sensei, Sarutobi-sensei?" asked Tsunade. 

"That is definitely out of question, Tsunade. Your Maternal instincts and Shinobi line of work doesn't go well with each other at all." said Hiruzen with finality making Tsunade huff in irritation.

About Two hours later;

Naruto is walking toward the academy exit while looking his newly acquired Konoha headband with a black cloth, this indicates his entry to the Shinobi ranks as a Genin. The written exam was laughably easy which took him a bit more than quarter of the time to finish while the IQ test took him a bit less than an hour to finish. He got his written exam marks as he was doing his IQ test. He passed with flying colors but was told that the IQ test will take a couple of hours before he knew how he did in it.

After that, the two chunin examined him in the practical part of the exam. Naruto was disappointed when all the practical part of the exam was to perform the three academy jutsu only after which he got his headband.

As he walked outside the academy, he found his mother waiting for him.

Tsunade, seeing the headband in Naruto's hand, said with a smile: "congratulations, Naru. You are a ninja now. How was the exams?" 

"Easy and disappointing." said Naruto as he shrugged his shoulders. 

"I knew you would say that." said Tsunade with a chuckle.

"What happens now mum?" asked Naruto

"Well, Sensei wants you to spar with one of his Ninja to see what is your combat level, so we are going meet him in Training grounds 1" said Tsunade to which Naruto nodded and the two proceeded to leave.

Couple minute later; In training gounds 1;

As Tsunade and Naruto reached the training grounds, both of them were surprise by how many people were standing on the sides of the training grounds.

Hiruzen was standing there with Koharu and Homura standing queitly behind him. Near them, almost all the Shinobi heads can be seen. The most notable of the attendees are the family heads of the Ino-Shika-Cho families, The head of the Huuga family Hiashi and his brother Hizashi, and The head of the Uchiha clan Fugaku with his son Itachi. 

Hiruzen spotted the arriving mother and son pair. He smiled slightly: "Hey there Tsunade and congratulations on becoming a genin, Naruto-kun. I hope you are ready for the spar." to which Naruto nodded politely as all the other people present turned their attention to the mother and son.

"Sensei, you didn't tell me that there will be an audience." said Tsunade with a slight edge in her tone.

Before Hiruzen could reply, Hiashi said with a polite yet monotone tone expected from a Hyuga clan member: "I hope you can forgive our intrusion, Tsunade-sama. We heard that Naruto-san in going to have a spar with a ninja of Hokage-sama's choosing, so we couldn't help but to be quite intrigued." making most of those present nod in agreement.

Tsunade stayed quiet for a moment before sighing and saying: "Fine, you are welcome to stay. But all what is going to happen here stays here, is that clear?"

she got back nods of conformation.

"Then, we can begin, sensei." said Tsunade making Hiruzen nod.

"Ready, Naruto?" asked Heruzen looking at Naruto

"Born ready, Saru-jiji." said Naruto with a cheeky smile making Hiruzen chuckle in amusment and caused some of those present to be surprised at their close relationship.

"Inu" called Hiruzen causing an ANBU operative with a dog mask to appear and kneel in front of him

"Yes, Hokage-sama" said Inu

"I want you to spar with Naruto-kun." said Hiruzen surprising most of those present.

"It shall be done Hokage-sama." replied Inu as he went to the middle of the Training ground with Naruto following him.

As Inu and Naruto stood facing each other in the middle of the Training ground, Naruto said with a polite smile: "Nice to see you again, Inu-san." To which he recived a nod from Inu.

On the side lines of Training ground, Hiruzen said in a raised voice so he could be heard by all those are present: "After the spar begins, It shall stop if one party has surrendered or incapacitated. Are both parties ready?" To which Inu and Naruto nodded. 

"Then begin." announced Hiruzen

Both Fighters didn't move as they looked at each other sizing each other up.

"You should come at me with the intent to kill, so you could at least have a chance to pospone your defeat." said Inu in a provocative and confident but also lazy and dismissive tone that was met with a brief silence 

"I hope you don't come to regret those words." said Naruto in an even tone as his eyes turned from a warm sapphire color to an ice cold blue color that radiated some killing intent.

Naruto then went into a Taijutsu stance that made Inu's eyes widen behind his mask.

Before he could even say do anthing, Naruto disappeared in burst of speed and appeared in front of the surprised Inu.

a couple moments earlier; with the spectators;

Tsunade winced and said; "Inu shouldn't have said that."

"Why do you say that Tsunade?" asked Koharu.

"If He had said it to a one trick pony who wears his emotions on his sleeve that would work. But Naruto is very calculative, crafty and rarely gets angry. He is very unpredictable that even Jiraiya can hardly deal with him." said Tsunade

"Has Naruto and Jiraiya-sama spared before?" asked Inoichi

"No they haven't. Their first meeting made Jiraiya always on edge. The first time Naruto met Jiraiya, he found him trying to peak on me in a hot spring making Naruto trap him in a way that made Jiraiya helpless. Lets just say that Jiraiya was left with broken bones and bruised body parts after my son was done with him." said Tsunade with a small savage but reminiscing smile making all the men present have a shiver travel through their spines.

Before anyone could comment, Shikaku said: "Isn't that the Yondaime's Taijutsu stance?" pulling the audience attention back at spar as Naruto started attacking Inu.

Back to the spar;

Inu blocked an incoming punch with his forearm making him have a pained expression on his face behind his mask. Both fighters then started a Taijutsu show down with punches, kicks, jabs and dodges being displayed from both sides.

'how is this kid so strong? It is like I am fighting a very fast young version of Guy.' thought Inu to himself as he tried to not wince after blocking another blow from Naruto as they continues to trade blow after blow. Naruto's hits are fast but also very strong making them sting even when blocked.

Inu jumped back to put some distance between him and Naruto after receiving a heavy hit to the side of his head that moved his mask slightly obstructing a part of his vision. He quickly got himself together and fixed his mask back in place only to find that Naruto has already jumped and is currently descending onto Inu's position with one of his legs raised.

Inu's eyes widened in alarm behind his mask and quickly used the body replacement jutsu.

'Heavenly foot of pain' Naruto announced the tecunique name inside his head as his leg fell on the poor log that took Inu's place. The log slammed so hard onto the ground turning into countless wood splinters and creating a deep and wide hole in the ground surrounded by many deep cracks. Inu was couple hair lengths away from death.

Inu looked at the thick cloud of dust that rose from the place where he was a second ago. He could see the distruction and feel the earth shaking beneath his feet. A drip of sweat rolled near his eyes as he scodeled himself in his mind: 'I should have kept my mouth shut.'

From the dust cloud, eight Narutos came out running toward Inu.

'Shadow clones' thought Inu to himself as he made one himself before starting a set of hand seals.

'Fire style, Great fireball jutsu' Inu's hands finished the hand seals before one of his hand came near his mouth as he took a deep breath and released a large fire ball towards the quickly approaching clones.

'Water style, water wall jutsu' The lead Naruto weaved three hand signs making water appear out of no where in front of the clones making the approaching fireball slam into it creating a thick fog of steam.

'where did that water come from so quickly? and did he just make a water wall with only three hand signs?' thought Inu to himself looking at he expanding fog of water vaper.

Suddenly, a huge dragon shaped stream of fire came out of the fog toward Inu and his clone making him quickly start forming hand signs.

'Earth style, mud wall jutsu' Inu slammed his hands on the ground making a wall rise from the ground to meet the approaching firey dragon. The fire dragon hit the wall with a loud bang making it start cracking from the sides as fire rushed past them.

Behind the wall cover, Inu was about to let out a sigh of relief when he saw Naruto's clones come out behind the smoke extinguished fire.

Inu used his legs and hands that were on the ground to push himself backward to give him a bit distance between him and incoming clones. His own clone started fighting a couple of them while the rest rushed towards him.

Behind Inu's mask, bits of sweat flowed down his face as his left red eye, which mismatched his right dark eye, tried to keep up with the clones that started engaging him with Taijutsu and kunai.

Under the relentless pressure of Naruto's clones, Inu got a glimce of his shadow clone receiving a devastating punch to the middle of its chest making it dispel on impact. The memories of the violent way the clone dispel reached Inu making him falter for a fraction of a second.

This fraction of a second seemed to be all what Naruto needed as one of his clones delivered a nasty kick to Inu's side sending him flying towards a tree.

Inu's back crashed into the tree causing him to lose his breath and cough some blood out staining the inside of his mask with it. His vision blurred as he tried to assess his dire situation, but to his shook and slight horror, Naruto appeared in front of him while taking a low stance as a cloud of smoke appeared in his hands revealing a Katana Inu haven't seen before.

'One sword style, quick draw (Itto-ryu, iaijutsu)' Naruto drew out his Katana toward the Head of the alarmed Inu.

Inu quickly bent his head to the side as he ducked down to avoid the incoming blade. That proved to be enough but not fast enough as the tip of the blade made a shallow cut on the side of Inu's face drawing out a bit of blood while cutting his mask strap and the tree behind him clean.

Inu used body flicker to make a big distance between him and his current problematic location. As he came out of the body flicker, his mask fell off his face reaveling his half covered face with the shallow horizontal cut that bled slightly on the side of his face. He looked towards Naruto who was looking at him while sheathing his Katana as behind him the tree slide down the angled clean cut and wedge itself into the ground standing upright next to its new stump. 

Inu's body ached in pain as he took heavy breathes of air, but it seemed that Naruto was not done yet. One of his clones made a couple of chakra chains that accelerated towards the tired Inu. 

Inu's body protested in pain as he continually dodged the incoming chains. But he soon ran out of luck as suddenly strange Kanji erupted from under his feet. It covered and coiled around his body like a snake constraining its prey. He felt himself losing control of his body as he stood still in place, and also to his predicament he couldn't feel his chakra anymore making his left eye go dark. 

His right eye saw a clone of Naruto rushing towards him with great speed while holding a kunai. He couldn't move or look behind him because of the kanji that covered his body making him sigh. 

'I really shouldn't have said that' thought Inu to himself as Naruto's clone neared him.

"Enough, Naruto. You win" anounced Hiruzen from the side lines.

Inu looked at Naruto's clone that was looking at him with a blank expression before dispelling. He could also hear the other clones dispel around him.

Naruto sighed as he resealed his Katana and walked in front of the Inu. He made a couple of hand seal then he put his hand on Inu's injuries. His hands started emitting chakra with a calming green color.

"Don't say things you might regret. Never underestimate your opponent. You didn't become invincible just because you graduated early and became a jonin before anyone. I though the war taught you that. Remember, Kakashi Hatake, There is always someone stronger than you and me out there. So never assume victory before the battle in concluded." said Naruto in an even tone as he finished Healing all of Kakashi's injuries. He then made a single hand sign which made the Kanji on Kakashi's body disappear and making his body, chakra and sharingan eye active again.

Kakashi stood still contemplating and deep in thought while Naruto walked towards his mother, who has a huge proud smile on her face, and the shocked silent crowd beside her. 

They has just witnessed a newly graduated eight years old genin utterly defeat the 14 years old jonin and veteran of the third shinobi war, Kakashi Hatake. The attacks were fast, swift and relentless that left no time for Kakashi to do anything meaningful.

What they saw today would take some time to digest into their minds.
