Naruto: The Sage Body of Konoha

Chapter 128: Chapter 128: Borrowing the Stone Tablet!

Heiyan arrived at the Hokage office door and pressed the doorbell.

"Come in."

The voice of Hiruzen Sarutobi came from behind the door.

Heiyan pushed the door open and walked inside. As soon as he entered, he saw the room was filled with smoke, the scent of tobacco lingering in the air.

When Hiruzen saw Heiyan, he put down his pipe, remained silent for a moment, and seemed to want to say something but hesitated.

"Heiyan, regarding Uzugakure..." He slowly began, carefully choosing his words, preparing to explain to Heiyan.

"Lord Hokage, there's no need to say more. I understand."

Heiyan looked at Hiruzen and interrupted him. Then, without looking back, he turned around and left.

"..."

Hiruzen had no words to reply, only sitting frozen in his chair, his lips slightly parted.

Heiyan swiftly strode out of the Hokage Tower.

At this moment, he saw a group of newly graduated Genin who had just completed their training at the Ninja Academy. They were receiving missions and ninja equipment at the Hokage building before being dispatched to the frontlines on the border.

It seemed Konoha really lacked ninjas, even sending these greenhorns to battlefields.

Among the group of mostly twelve- or thirteen-year-old Genin, Heiyan noticed a familiar short, blonde-haired boy who stood out in the crowd, appearing only about seven or eight years old.

"Minato," Heiyan called out to the boy.

"Mr. Heiyan!" Minato Namikaze turned around, surprise and joy showing on his face. He hurried over and stood before Heiyan.

"It looks like you've completed the task I gave you back then and graduated from the ninja academy early," Heiyan observed, gazing at Minato with appreciation.

"Thank you for your praise, Mr. Heiyan," Minato modestly replied, somewhat embarrassed, scratching his head.

"Where are you headed now?" Heiyan asked further.

"My team has been assigned to assist with defense along the border between the Land of Fire and the Land of Grass. According to intelligence reports, Iwagakure forces might invade the Land of Fire through the Land of Grass at any moment."

Minato solemnly relayed his mission to Heiyan.

"As agreed, I promised to teach you Flying Thunder God. However, since you have an urgent mission now, we'll have to wait until your return."

Heiyan said so.

"Okay."

Minato nodded but felt a wave of uncertainty deep inside.

He wasn't sure he'd make it back if war truly broke out.

Just as Minato was feeling down, suddenly before his eyes appeared an ancient-looking short sword glowing golden light.

"I'm giving you this sword for self-defense. I hope you return safely."

Heiyan held out the Sword of the Thunder God and handed it to Minato Namikaze.

"Mr. Heiyan, this..."

Overwhelmed by gratitude, Minato was momentarily at a loss, even his voice trembling.

How could he not recognize it? This was the treasured sword once wielded by the Second Hokage. It was later granted by the Third Hokage to Heiyan. It was with this legendary blade that Heiyan earned the reputation of "Little Tobirama."

And now, Mr. Heiyan really gave it to him.

Minato couldn't believe it—it felt like he was dreaming, like everything was unreal.

Finally, with Heiyan's insistence, Minato carefully took the Sword of the Thunder God into his trembling hands.

Under Heiyan's watchful gaze, Minato retrieved white bandages and wrapped them around the sword handle several times until it was completely concealed from sight.

Seeing this, Heiyan realized Minato's intention and grew even more impressed with him in his heart.

An innocent man still suffers misfortune simply because he possesses something too valuable to keep.

Given Minato's age and strength at this moment, openly wielding the Sword of the Thunder God on the battlefield would inevitably draw envious eyes from enemies, potentially bringing life-threatening danger.

The meticulous Minato had therefore chosen this method to keep a low profile.

For him, the Thunder God Sword was a surprise trump card — meant to be revealed only when needed most.

"I also need to leave the village for something."

After watching Minato secure the Thunder God Sword, Heiyan patted the younger man's shoulder and made him a promise:

"When I return, I'll teach you the Flying Thunder God Technique."

As soon as these words left his mouth, Heiyan felt something was off. Upon reflection, what he just said sounded suspiciously like raising a red flag.

However, considering the dangerous assignment he was about to undertake...

That sense of foreboding might come true before he knew it.

Gazing toward the distance with deep eyes, Heiyan exchanged a few farewell words with Minato before turning to leave.

"It seems my senior is planning some radical adventure... alone,"

Minato Namikaze watched Heiyan disappear into the distance, keenly sensing something unusual.

Remaining in place for a moment's contemplation, he finally made a decisive move — before leaving the village for his mission, he headed first toward the compounds of both the Hyuga and Uchiha clans...

Half an hour later.

Heiyan silently entered the Uchiha clan restricted area, stepping into the hidden chamber within the Naka Shrine.

"It's that time again..."

Lighting the braziers on both sides of the secret room, yellow flames roared to life, illuminating the stone tablet left behind by Sage of Six Paths in the center of the room.

Standing opposite the stone tablet, Heiyan reached from behind his waist to withdraw a large one-meter-long scroll wrapped in black shaft and white paper, unfolding it onto the floor.

Then, he closed his eyes, pressed his palms together, and natural energy surged violently toward him.

Thirty seconds later.

When Heiyan opened his eyes again, black sage facial markings had already appeared around his eyes and forehead.

"Lend me your strength!"

With a loud cry, an indescribably powerful aura suddenly erupted from him, spreading throughout the entire secret chamber.

Whoosh! Whoosh!

Two crimson chakra chains shot from Heiyan's hands, wildly dancing through the chamber while emitting unprecedented terrifying energy fluctuations.

[Sage Art: Heavenly Release: Demon-Subduing Celestial Binding Chain!]

Next, under Heiyan's control, the Demon-Subduing Chains intertwined with the Celestial Binding Chains, forming a double-helix structure resembling human DNA.

The shape bore an unmistakable resemblance to the Six Paths Tier artifact Obito Uchiha wielded — the Ama no Hoko.

Swoosh!

[Whoosh!]

The Demon-Subduing Celestial Binding Chain, now combined, shot straight forward, its end tightly coiling around the Six Paths stone tablet.

"Up!"

Heiyan shouted, his eyes burning with determination as he activated his power.

[Boom!]

The hidden chamber's walls and floor violently trembled. Paint peeled off and cracks spread across the ground. Amid the intense shaking, the Six Paths stone tablet finally lifted into the air.

[Whish!]

With a casual flick of the Demon-Subduing Celestial Binding Chain, Heiyan sent the stone tablet whirling in all directions—effortlessly responding to his every movement as if it were part of him.

Though it looked ordinary at first glance—no more than two or three meters long and less than half a meter thick—a faint black aura undulated across its surface. That was the Six Paths chakra.

As the tablet soared through the hidden room, anyone watching closely could only gawk in horror at the ripples spreading through space itself like waves wherever it passed.

It was impossible to imagine how terrifying it would be if this stone tablet struck someone—or a Tailed Beast—with the force of a thunderbolt.

For Heiyan, after countless efforts, he had finally achieved complete mastery over this stone tablet left behind by the Sage of Six Paths.
