Naruto: The Sage Body of Konoha

Chapter 129: Chapter 129: The Wind Whistles (4K)

The ninja tools once used by the Sage of Six Paths can be divided into two categories.

The first category includes the banana fan, the amber purification vase, the purple-gold gourd, the seven-star sword, and the gold-binding rope possessed by King and Silver.

These five legendary tools, when properly utilized, could handle an army of thousands of soldiers. Fundamentally speaking, however, they were not much different from other ninja tools in the world of shinobi.

It's no wonder that in the original timeline, Heiyan treated these five tools like trash, spitting them out casually while calling them "boring toys."

In Heiyan's view, though these tools did possess extraordinary abilities, they were somewhat flashy and impractical—more like toys for the Sage.

Truly powerful were the second category of tools, including the Six Paths Staff, the Sage's Blade, Ama no Hoko, and the Truth-Seeking Balls.

Weapons and toys simply couldn't be compared on any level.

The appearance of a Six Paths-tier weapon in the world of shinobi spelled one phrase: Dimensional Annihilation.

Any ordinary human would die upon contact, and mundane weapons would shatter at a touch.

Meanwhile, the stone tablet left by the Sage of Six Paths to the Uchiha clan—

While it could never match the true power of Six Paths-tier weapons, with its contained Six Paths chakra combined with Heiyan's [Heavenly Release: Demon-Subduing Celestial Binding Chain], it had been transformed into a Meteor Hammer now appropriately called a "Quasi-Six Paths Weapon."

This Meteor Hammer was, without question, the strongest weapon currently existing in the shinobi world.

Even those legendary tools such as the blazing war fan, Seven Ninja Blades, and the Sword of Kusanagi paled in comparison and were not worth mentioning.

At this moment, an unprecedented surge of heroic resolve stirred within Heiyan.

Though a thousand men stand against me, I shall march forth alone.

His immense strength, already at the peak of Transcendent Kage, plus this Six Paths Stone Tablet Meteor Hammer—this was his confidence.

Confidence enough to single-handedly march to Uzugakure, standing alone against Mist, Cloud, Golden Exchange, and other factions. That meant facing several Kage-level or even Transcendent Kage experts, dozens of elite Jonin, and nearly ten thousand ninja.

Come on, all of you come!

Whether it was Madara Uchiha, the Third Raikage, the Mizukage, or Black Zetsu, Kakuzu—if every last one of them dared set foot in Uzugakure, they'd have to face Heiyan's hammer first.

This time, Heiyan intended to settle things once and for all with all of his lifelong rivals.

Thinking thus—

Whoosh!

Under Heiyan's control, the Six Paths stone tablet flew to his side, landed onto a storage scroll, and was immediately sealed away.

He rolled up the scroll, placed it securely at his waist again, then turned and strode away decisively.

He decided to head back to his riverside cabin near the hot springs, rest up for the night, and depart for Uzugakure at first light the next morning.

Meanwhile.

Behind Konoha, deep inside Root's underground laboratory.

Danzo walked gloomily through the corridor of Root, arriving at the ruined depths of the lab where he found its current director—Orochimaru.

"Still haven't found the intruder?"

"What are you going to tell the higher-ups about losing the First Hokage's original cell tissue?"

He immediately lashed out, channeling all his frustration from his earlier encounter with Heiyan directly at Orochimaru.

"It was your Root division that failed to keep the lab secret and leaked intel, leading to enemy intrusion. What does that have to do with me?"

Orochimaru narrowed his eyes, sharply firing back without holding back. He'd just been mocked by the catgirl and was already in a foul mood, so he had no intention of showing Danzo any courtesy.

The two bickered and shifted blame toward each other, creating an extremely tense atmosphere.

"Enough."

Finally, Danzo was the first to calm down, suppressing his inner rage as he coldly told Orochimaru:

"I've received orders from above—we're to bring personnel to Uzu Country and participate in the operation to destroy Uzugakure."

The "above" he mentioned naturally referred to Black Zetsu.

"Oh? It's already begun then?"

Upon hearing this, Orochimaru momentarily set aside other emotions, revealing an expression of interest. Then he made a request to Danzo:

"Assign me some subordinates. I need to capture a few Uzumaki shinobi for human experimentation."

In Orochimaru's view, the Uzumaki clan, famous throughout the ninja world for their longevity, held immense research value—potentially offering tremendous assistance toward his quest for immortality.

"Do as you wish. Just don't try to take whatever catches my eye."

Danzo said darkly, warningly.

What caught his attention was obviously the treasure vault containing sealing techniques in Uzugakure. Once those sealing arts fell into Konoha's hands, whatever little remaining value the Uzumaki clan still possessed would disappear completely.

Half an hour later,

Danzo and Orochimaru, along with over a dozen Root agents, donned disguises and slipped out of Konoha unnoticed, setting off toward Uzu Country.

The next day brought deep autumn, with nature itself seeming to wither—its decay mirrored by a heavy war cloud looming over Konoha, casting the village into solemn silence.

Inside the room, before the mirror,

Heiyan tied up his long hair, wore the white Shanwenjia armor with its cape, and slung a large scroll on his back. After completing his preparations, he closed the door behind him and left home.

Running and leaping across Konoha's rooftops, it didn't take him long to reach the village gate.

To his surprise, two familiar figures were already standing side by side—one on either side of the path, waiting for him.

On the left stood Fugaku Uchiha wearing golden Shanwenjia armor with its cape and carrying the blazing war fan; on the right stood Hiashi Hyuga dressed in silver Shanwenjia armor with its cape, bearing a silver longbow.

Both men reached out, blocking Heiyan's path.

"You... came here too?" Heiyan asked, surprised.

"It was that kid Minato Namikaze who informed us." Fugaku folded his arms across his chest, seriously staring at Heiyan.

"Captain, where exactly are you headed? Are you going to Uzugakure?"

Hiashi even furrowed his brows, directly expressing dissatisfaction toward Heiyan: "We're teammates—don't we make up a three-person team? If you have a mission, why keep it secret from me and Fugaku?"

Hearing this, Heiyan exhaled deeply. Then he admitted openly:

"Yes, I truly am going to Uzu Country."

Because right now, the Uzumaki Clan was facing a crisis of war, and Konoha's high-ranking elders had decided… to abandon support. Therefore, this isn't an official mission—it's my personal decision. As for the reason, it's actually quite simple; I believe you've probably already guessed somewhat...

Before the two men, Heiyan slowly spoke his full name:

"My real name is Uzumaki Heiyan."

Upon hearing this, Fugaku and Hiashi both revealed expressions of shock.

They were not only shocked that Heiyan was part of the Uzumaki Clan, but also stunned by Konoha's leadership abandoning their allies.

"Let us go with you," Fugaku said after absorbing Heiyan's words, being the first to speak up.

"Yeah, what enemy could stand against the three of us?"

Hiashi declared with fiery resolve, already wearing a battle-ready grin.

Both of them felt confident.

After all, their growth in just the past year alone defied description—it's more than just rapid progress. Today, both had unlocked their dōjutsu and had Hashirama cells transplanted into their bodies. Moreover, they possessed powerful ninja tools and living armor—which meant their combat power had reached its peak.

Both had become Kage-level experts, standing among the most outstanding in this tier.

Not to mention that Heiyan's strength was unfathomable—surpassing them both.

This three-man squad wouldn't fear even facing an army of enemy ninjas from multiple villages—they could take them on and emerge victorious.

However, just as Fugaku and Hiashi were thinking like this, what Heiyan said next poured cold water over them.

"This journey is perilous—far more dangerous than you can imagine. Out of ten, nine are death."

Heiyan slowly said this, instantly shocking the two.

"Among the forces attacking Uzugakure is Akagakure. The Third Raikage is the strongest figure in Yotsuki Clan history—he will lead the Eight-Tails and Two-Tails Jinchuriki, along with several thousand Akagakure ninjas heading south into Uzu Country."

"The second force is Kirigakure. The Third Mizukage has become the Three-Tails Jinchuriki, leading the Seven Swords of the Bloody Mist as well as several thousand Kiri ninjas crossing the sea to join the battle."

"The third force is the Golden Exchange. Remember that battle on Mist Island from a year ago? Kakuzu, the man with five hearts, will make a comeback, leading more than a thousand bounty hunters into this war. Even scarier is that Kakuzu's master is none other than a mysterious Uchiha who once appeared at the Valley of the End."

"Besides these, there are other enemy forces and experts lurking in the shadows, waiting to seize their opportunity."

"All this is precisely why Konoha's leadership decided to abandon the Uzumaki, our ally."

When Heiyan finished analyzing the war situation facing Uzugakure, Fugaku and Hiashi stood completely stunned.

The number and scale of enemies were unprecedented, vastly exceeding their psychological expectations.

"So tell me now—are you still willing to follow me to certain death?"

After dropping those words, he strode past the two and walked eastward into the boundless forest.

From the bottom of his heart, he did not want these two guys to go with him to face such danger. He regarded them as brothers rather than assets, which is why he said those words—to make them understand how dangerous this would be and step back.

Yet, before he'd gone very far, hurried footsteps sounded behind him.

"If you're planning to leave us behind and show off on the battlefield by yourself, Captain, I Fugaku Uchiha won't allow it."

Fugaku stepped forward from the left, speaking with a calm smile.

"That's right. No matter what happens, we Trio must face everything together. That's what true companions are all about!"

Hiashi caught up from the right, clenching his fist with intense eyes.

"Guys..."

Heiyan halted, meeting the determined looks in both their eyes.

Finally.

"If that's how it is, then let's go together and turn this world upside down."

Looking at the two of them, Heiyan said this while extending one hand toward them.

"Agreed!" Without hesitation, both Fugaku and Hiashi placed their hands on top—three hands met firmly, sealing an unshakable bond.

The three exchanged smiles before turning and marching forward resolutely.

It was late October—deep autumn in Konoha Year 31.

Northern winds blew as leaves scattered across the sky. The capes behind them fluttered in the wind, proudly bearing the emblems of the Uzumaki, Uchiha, and Hyuga clans—the three most prestigious lineages—glowing together.

With the cold wind whistling, the three figures slowly disappeared into the distance.

Ten minutes later.

Beside a ruined well near Konoha's outskirts.

"The Enshinsui seal of Uzugakure... It's been destroyed."

Heiyan's expression turned grave.

Two possibilities came to mind.

First, someone within Uzugakure had betrayed the Uzumaki clan—most likely someone high-ranking, because the Enshinsui seal was located in the backyard of the meeting hall, known only to a select few.

Second, Uzugakure might have already fallen.

They could only hope it was the first case—it would at least leave room for salvation.

"Let's move!"

Heiyan whispered sharply. The three immediately activated the Body Flicker Technique, rushing urgently toward Uzu Country.

Not long after.

Konoha, Hokage Office.

Hiruzen Sarutobi frowned deeply, staring intently at a map of shinobi nations displayed on his desk.

The Land of Fire was vast and populous, directly bordering smaller countries like the River, Rain, Grass, Waterfall, Frost, Field, Iron, Uzu, and Kumogakure nations. Beyond these buffer states lay the four great nations surrounding Fire Country entirely.

In peacetime, such geography made it the center of the ninja world, providing tremendous economic and trade advantages—but once war broke out, it became a target for attacks from every direction.

Right now, Hiruzen focused on the western front, troubled by the severe tensions brewing between Wind and Earth nations along the border.

As for the eastern front, he had already given up hope.

Now, only the corpses of their Uzumaki allies could appease Cloud and Mist, dissuading them from further attacks on Konoha.

Suddenly, quick footsteps echoed from the hallway outside.

Bang!

Startled, Hiruzen watched as the office doors swung open violently. Two angry groups stormed inside.

It was the clan heads and leaders from both the Uchiha and Hyuga clans, accompanied by their elders, elite ninja, and high-ranking officials—a total of over twenty people combined.

"Third, why did you send Fugaku and Hiashi to accompany Heiyan to Uzu Country to die?"

The heads of the two powerful clans confronted Hiruzen Sarutobi together.

Just earlier, someone spotted Heiyan, Fugaku, and Hiashi leaving the village together, heading east. The news quickly spread within both clans, leading to this very scene.

"What are you talking about? I never gave such an order..."

Hiruzen Sarutobi looked genuinely shocked—he had never issued any mission orders to Heiyan's team.

"Could it be they volunteered for this mission?"

"Heiyan is the [Omen of Misfortune]! According to the Great Toad Sage's death prophecy, his one-year deadline has arrived; he will soon perish. And both Fugaku and Hiashi will die alongside him!"

"We can't wait any longer."

...

Voices from the Uchiha and Hyuga clans filled the room—loud, angry, anxious. As their outrage grew, so did their unity. In no time, they reached a consensus and swiftly assembled an elite unit to pursue and bring back Heiyan and his companions.

"Hmph!"

They stormed off, sleeves flaring, determined to bring their kin back before confronting the Third Hokage again.

...

Even as head of the village, Hiruzen Sarutobi had just been verbally attacked by representatives of both powerful clans—but he didn't care about losing face or authority.

What weighed on his heart was his guilt toward Heiyan, and deep concern for the young man's safety.

Snapping out of his thoughts, he immediately summoned Sakumo Hatake into his office.

"Take First and Second Squads with you. Retrieve Heiyan, Fugaku, and Hiashi—no matter the cost."

Hiruzen spoke gravely, his tone unwavering in its resolve.

This mission wasn't only about Heiyan himself—if something were to happen to Fugaku Uchiha and Hiashi Hyuga, their respective clans would undoubtedly seek retaliation.

In that case, Konoha might even face internal division.

No matter what, Hiruzen refused to let such a scenario unfold.

"Understood!"
