Chapter 142: Chapter 142: Fighting with Anrokuzan

When Mukade—now calling himself Anrokuzan—absorbed the Dragon Vein's chakra and traveled back more than 20 years, he never anticipated how drastically his life would change.

Arriving in a time where the Dragon Vein's chakra had yet to be fully exploited, Anrokuzan decided to take a different approach. To avoid the mistakes of the future, he resolved to use the Dragon Vein's power more strategically.

Adopting the guise of a benevolent minister, Anrokuzan gained the trust of Sara's mother, the Queen of Rouran. He suggested unlocking the Dragon Vein's seal to develop the barren land into a prosperous city powered by its energy. Convinced by his vision, the Queen accepted his proposal, leading to the construction of Rouran's iconic "City of a Thousand Towers."

Initially, Anrokuzan genuinely contributed to the city's growth to solidify his position. However, once he had amassed sufficient influence, he betrayed the Queen. Engineering her demise, he took control of Rouran under the pretense of safeguarding the throne for the young Princess Sara.

Over the years, Anrokuzan recklessly exploited the Dragon Vein's chakra to strengthen himself, crafting an empire of puppets. He believed his path to ultimate power was inevitable—until the unexpected arrival of Kirito and TenTen from the future.

Recognizing them as the ninjas who had nearly stopped him six years ago, Anrokuzan realized that if he didn't eliminate them, his plans would crumble.

The Battle Begins

"I never imagined you two brats would follow me to this era," Anrokuzan sneered from a high platform. "But it doesn't matter. I've completely mastered the power of the Dragon Vein. Now, no one can stop me!"

He raised his hands, and dozens of chakra threads shot out, latching onto fallen puppets scattered across the room. Reanimated by the threads, the puppets stood, their weapons drawn, and charged toward Sara.

"Stay back!" TenTen intercepted the first wave, deflecting the puppets' blades with her kunai.

Meanwhile, Kirito formed iron sand into makeshift steps and propelled himself onto the platform where Anrokuzan stood. With a swift kick, he sent the rotund minister flying, crashing through the ceiling in an explosion of rubble.

The clay puppets, deprived of both Anrokuzan's control and the Dragon Vein's chakra, collapsed lifelessly to the ground.

"Is it over?" Sara whispered, staring at the still puppets in disbelief. She hadn't expected the seemingly invincible Anrokuzan to fall so easily.

But TenTen remained on guard. "No, it's not that simple. Look at Kirito—he hasn't dropped his stance."

Anrokuzan's Transformation

"Heh… Do you think a single attack could defeat me?" Anrokuzan's voice echoed ominously.

From beneath the rubble, Anrokuzan emerged, unscathed. The deep dent in his chest healed before their eyes, and his injuries mended as if time itself were reversing.

"With the Dragon Vein's power, I am invincible!" Purple chakra surged from his body, extending into countless threads that latched onto the surrounding puppets.

The lifeless puppets began merging with Anrokuzan's form. His body swelled grotesquely, transforming into an enormous, oval-shaped mass. Jointed legs like those of an insect sprouted from his sides, and a ghostly face with wild hair emerged from the top.

"Has he turned himself into a puppet?" TenTen speculated, her voice filled with both disgust and shock. Anrokuzan's grotesque form reminded her of the infamous puppet master Sasori, who had similarly transformed his own body.

"This is the ultimate power of the Dragon Vein!" Anrokuzan bellowed, his monstrous voice reverberating through the chamber.

Kirito crossed his arms, unimpressed. "I don't get it. Of all the things you could turn into, why a giant cockroach? Gross."

TenTen, standing protectively near Sara, wrinkled her nose. "Seriously, a cockroach? Did you not have any better ideas? It's disgusting!"

Anrokuzan roared in anger at their mocking words and lunged at Kirito with shocking speed.

Kirito's Counterattack

As Anrokuzan charged, Kirito raised his hand calmly. "Magnet Release: Iron Sand Spears."

Dozens of massive, razor-sharp spears of iron sand rained down, skewering Anrokuzan's massive form and pinning him in place. Immobilized, he thrashed wildly, tearing his own limbs free from the spears.

"It's useless!" Anrokuzan shouted, purple chakra pouring from his wounds to instantly regenerate his severed limbs. "No matter how much damage you inflict, I will recover. I cannot be defeated!"

Transforming his forelimbs into sharp blades, Anrokuzan slashed at Kirito like a praying mantis.

Minato's Arrival

Clang! A kunai suddenly embedded itself in the ground between Kirito and Anrokuzan. In an instant, a golden-haired figure appeared, wrapping his arms around Kirito and vanishing before Anrokuzan's blade could strike.

"Who's there?!" Anrokuzan snarled, scanning the room in fury.

Reappearing beside TenTen and Sara, Minato Namikaze released Kirito and turned to the group. "Sorry for the delay," he said with a calm smile.

BOOM! A massive explosion rocked the chamber as equipment in the room erupted into flames. Amid the chaos, another figure appeared, thin and agile, landing gracefully in front of Minato.

"Mission accomplished, Minato-sensei," the figure reported, his voice steady.
