Naruto: To Hell This Suicide System

Chapter 106: NT: 105: Scorch Release

The two discovered figures fled outward relentlessly.

Rasa and Pakura's pursuit roused other Suna-nin, who joined the chase.

Naturally, Rasa and Pakura, in their haste, pulled far ahead of the other Suna-nins, each targeting a separate foe.

Namikaze Minato and Tengen.

Rasa pursued Minato, while Pakura chased Tengen.

Tengen had no worry for Minato against Rasa. This was the Yellow Flash, destined to be the Fourth Hokage in the normal timeline. A mere Rasa handling him? Unlikely.

As for Tengen, he halted not far from Sunagakure.

"Which ninja village are you from, enemy?" Pakura demanded, gripping a kunai.

Entering the Land of Wind, Minato and Tengen had stashed their Konoha headbands. Revealing their village's mark here would be foolish.

Telling Sunagakure that Konoha-nins had arrived?

"I'm a wandering ninja, believe it or not?" Tengen said, eyeing her.

"Of course not. Why would a wandering ninja sneak into Sunagakure?" Pakura's face darkened.

This enemy was mocking her.

As for Tengen's youth, Pakura didn't relax one bit.

During the chase, she'd gauged his strength, on par with hers, at least Jonin level.

"If you won't tell the truth, I'll capture and interrogate you." Pakura said slowly. "Remember my name: Pakura of the Sand."

"Pakura of the Sand." Tengen's brow twitched. "The Pakura with the Scorch Release kekkei genkai."

"That's me." Pakura replied evenly.

"Pity." Tengen shook his head, gazing at the beautiful Pakura.

"Pity what?" Pakura snapped coldly.

"Pity you're with Sunagakure. Perhaps your village will betray you one day." Tengen said.

In truth, Tengen spoke some reality. In the normal Naruto timeline, Pakura was sold out by Rasa, dying in Kirigakure, a hero of Sunagakure, yet faintly tragic.

Tengen felt no sympathy, though. The ninja world brimmed with death, and many had fallen by his own hand.

If Pakura pressed him, Tengen wouldn't hold back.

At his words, Pakura's face darkened further. What kind of joke was this?

"Bang!" Pakura surged forward, reaching Tengen in a flash, her kunai slashing.

"Your taijutsu's too weak." Tengen countered, a kunai in hand, clashing with hers.

"Clang!" A powerful force jolted Pakura back, step after step. In pure taijutsu, she couldn't match Tengen.

As expected. Few could rival Tengen's taijutsu now.

Perhaps some Jonin from major villages, specializing in taijutsu, might.

One other could: the Third Raikage, wielding the strongest attack and defense.

Even the Eight-Tails couldn't harm him.

Such was the Third Raikage's terrifying physical might.

Tengen hadn't faced him, but clearly, Pakura was no match.

"Such strength." Pakura stared at her trembling hand. The clash had split the web of her thumb, blood seeping, though the wound was minor.

"Can't fight her with taijutsu." Pakura thought, a sphere forming in her hand.

This was the power of her Scorch Release kekkei genkai.

She charged Tengen. If her Scorch Release hit, no amount of taijutsu strength would matter.

It vaporized the body's moisture...

"Scorch Release." Tengen inhaled deeply, his fist brimming with strange energy.

"Armament Haki."

"Here goes!" Tengen punched, an invisible force blasting from his fist.

Pakura thought her Scorch Release would strike, but Tengen's attack unleashed a massive force, hurling her back.

Her Scorch Release dissipated in the clash.

"Is this still taijutsu?" Pakura landed roughly, disheveled.

Was that an air cannon from peak taijutsu? She wondered.

"Pakura-sama! Pakura-sama!" Countless Suna-nin rushed up from behind, a sizable group.

If Tengen went all out, he could kill them.

"Still." Tengen's lips curved. "Pakura, take this attack. Survive, and maybe I'll give you a chance later."

"Armament Haki." Layers of odd energy gathered in Tengen's fist.

"Taijutsu: Raging Flame." Tengen swung fiercely.

"Boom!" The heavens seemed to roar, an unprecedented force erupting from his fist.

A ferocious dragon-shaped form emerged, wreathed in blazing flames, fire chakra at work.

The meters-long dragon roared, charging Pakura and the Suna-nins behind.

The attack struck in an instant.

"No, I can't block it!" Pakura's face paled. "Scorch Release: Shield!"

A burst of Scorch Release flared before her.

Then, the roaring dragon engulfed them.

Searing white light and yellow sand dust swirled, lingering until the haze cleared.

A stretch of sand, meters wide, lay forcibly scarred.

Countless Suna-nins cried out in agony.

As for Tengen, he'd long vanished from the scene.
