Naruto: To Hell This Suicide System

Chapter 105: [104] The Kazekage's Pursuit

Namikaze Minato, reeling from Tengen's revelation, finally regained some composure after a while.

Regarding Tengen's Sharingan, Minato had no strong opinions, it was Tengen's kekkei genkai, after all.

It only suggested Tengen's ancestors might trace back to the Uchiha clan. As for the rest, Tengen's origins in Konoha were spotless.

His parents, confirmed to lack the Sharingan, settled that.

"Monster." Minato muttered, glancing at Tengen.

"Alright, Minato, enough. It's just the Sharingan. It doesn't boost my strength much." Tengen said.

Sure, that was a blatant lie. The Sharingan elevated Tengen's abilities significantly.

Not to mention, the Three-Tomoe wasn't his limit. The Mangekyo Sharingan was Tengen's true ceiling, capable of unleashing powerful ninjutsu.

Even techniques like Susanoo awaited.

"Forget it. Let's get intel from this Suna-nin." Minato shook his head, refocusing on the mission.

As for the Sharingan, if Tengen didn't flaunt it in Konoha, Minato wouldn't spill a word.

Tengen's trust in revealing it to him touched Minato deeply.

Tengen saw him as a friend.

So Minato wouldn't blab to others.

With the Uchiha clan around, news of Tengen's ability could spark trouble.

Well, these were Minato's own assumptions.

If Tengen knew Minato's thoughts, he'd probably laugh. It wasn't that complicated, he simply chose to display his strength, not hide it.

Of course, Tengen remained unaware of Minato's musings.

If he knew, he wouldn't stop him. Trouble? Sure, a little.

But such trouble meant nothing to Tengen.

Soon, Tengen and Minato interrogated the ninja, using standard ninja methods.

Both were seasoned in this, Tengen and Minato alike.

Ninjas, especially Jonin, mastered subtle tricks.

Even Anbu interrogation skills were in Tengen and Minato's arsenal.

From the Suna-nin's mouth, they learned much.

Recently, scores of Suna-nins left Sunagakure, heading somewhere unknown, a massive deployment.

The news made Tengen and Minato exchange a glance, a bad feeling brewing.

Minato hesitated, but Tengen suspected Sunagakure's target: the Land of Fire, Konoha.

They pressed for routes in and out of Sunagakure, and to their delight, the village's defenses were thin due to the dispatched ninjas.

"Thanks for that." Minato said, knocking the ninja out again. The ninja's fate was sealed.

Only one path lay ahead: death.

Though not wartime, Konoha and Sunagakure's ties were tense, clashing often in skirmishes.

To avoid detection, they needed to infiltrate Sunagakure fast, missing ninjas would be noticed.

After handling the Suna-nin, Minato stood. "Tengen, we need to sneak in, see what's really happening."

Both knew the issue was serious: where had those Suna-nins gone?

Tengen and Minato left, aiming to enter Sunagakure before its defenses reacted.

In the Kazekage's office.

"Pakura, what's the situation?" Rasa asked Pakura.

This Pakura, a Sunagakure Jonin, wielded a unique kekkei genkai: Scorch Release.

"The advance ninja force has entered the Land of Fire. They're likely nearing their target." Pakura, a female ninja, replied. Her fair skin glowed, hair tied back, strands dyed yellow framing her face, lending a sharp, valiant air.

"Good. Lead the follow-up troops next. I'll take the final batch." Rasa said.

"Yes, Kazekage-sama." Pakura responded promptly.

"Hm." Rasa's brow furrowed suddenly. "Who's there?"

Outside, golden sand surged, lashing toward a spot.

Then Rasa saw two figures fleeing, not pausing for a moment.

"Enemies!" Rasa froze, then fury flared. Enemies had reached the Kazekage's office, how had the Suna-nins guarded so poorly?

Without his sand sense, he might've missed them.

"Pakura, pursue!" Rasa ordered.

"Yes, Kazekage-sama!" Pakura followed Rasa in chase.

"Here's the Kazekage's office." Minato whispered as he and Tengen stealthily approached.

Their eyes met, words kept hushed.

They feared being overheard.

Eavesdropping, they caught the Kazekage and Pakura's talk.

Minato's mind reeled, Sunagakure was indeed attacking the Land of Fire, Konoha.

That slip let Rasa catch an unfamiliar presence.

"Minato, move!" Tengen urged, and they bolted toward Sunagakure's edge.

They had to escape before the village fully reacted, or they'd be swarmed.

"Two pursuers." Tengen frowned. "Minato, split up. Meet at the usual spot."

"Got it." Minato nodded.
