Its sheer size matched the towering water giant.

"You've absorbed a Tailed Beast?" Tobirama's voice was calm as his gaze swept over the imposing statue. He could sense the immense chakra within it.

The Tailed Beasts of Kumogakure were heavily guarded, making a direct attack unlikely. The other beasts had already been captured ahead of Akatsuki's efforts. That left the chakra inside the statue as either the wild Three Tails or the Five Tails Akatsuki had seized earlier.

With a mere thought, the water giant behind Tobirama lunged forward, shaking the earth as it charged toward the Gedo Statue.

The two titans collided in a ferocious battle of raw strength.

However, the Gedo Statue was clearly at a disadvantage. With only the Five Tails' chakra to fuel it, it was little more than an empty shell. And against the water construct, it was severely outmatched.

Each strike from the water giant landed with crushing force, while the Gedo Statue's attacks passed harmlessly through its watery form. Its fists, once embedded in the water giant, were ensnared by torrents of water, leaving it unable to break free.

The Gedo Statue let out a furious roar as its back spikes crackled with electricity. Blinding arcs of white lightning struck the water giant, causing it to shimmer momentarily, allowing the statue to wrench its arm free.

A massive purple chakra dragon erupted from the statue's maw, its serpentine form hurtling toward the water giant.

"Sealing Jutsu: Phantom Dragon Nine Consuming Seals!" Tendo Pain roared from atop the Gedo Statue.

This technique, capable of sealing Tailed Beast chakra, was equally devastating against human targets. Once it made contact, it could drain its victim's chakra and even devour their soul—an undeniable counter to Edo Tensei.
