Naruto: Tobirama Reborn, Invincible in the Ninja World

Chapter 104: Chapter 104: Burst

In a concealed cave just a dozen kilometers from the battlefield, Nagato, his frail body pierced with black rods, sat hunched over. His gaunt form coughed violently, his voice echoing off the cavern walls.

"Cough… cough, cough!"

A mouthful of blood spattered onto the ground.

Normally, this was when Konan would appear, her worried expression urging him to rest. But now, he was alone. Konan was still in Amegakure, recovering from her injuries.

The current situation filled Nagato with unease.

When the Six Paths of Pain had previously assembled, their combined might was unparalleled. Even Hanzo the Salamander, once hailed as a "demigod," had fallen helplessly before their onslaught. But now, five of the six bodies had been destroyed by Senju Tobirama, leaving only the Deva Path.

Nagato lifted his head slightly, his once vibrant red hair now dull and withered like dying grass. Yet his Rinnegan eyes burned with furious resolve.

A god does not lose to mere mortals!

Tobirama, observing Pain's silence, showed no mercy.

Dozens of water clones sprang from the ground, each wielding a rapidly spinning blade of compressed water. The blades shimmered like drills, their sharpness piercing even the air, emitting an intense, buzzing hum.

"Ha!"

With a thunderous shout, Tobirama's clones hurled their water blades in unison. The scene resembled a rain of arrows, as countless droplets scattered across the sky, forming a deadly barrage aimed directly at the Deva Path.

Sensing the overwhelming danger, the Deva Path leapt back, releasing a surge of repulsive force from every pore of its body.

"Shinra Tensei!"

Far away in the cave, Nagato's eyes streamed with blood as he poured every ounce of his chakra into the Deva Path, even at the cost of his own life force.

BOOM!

Blinding white light erupted, turning night into day. Even Tobirama squinted against the brilliance as he retreated rapidly.

The repulsive force exploded outward from the Deva Path, obliterating everything in its vicinity. Tobirama's water blades disintegrated into harmless droplets, and his clones vanished one by one. The surrounding landscape, for miles, was reduced to a crater of barren desolation.

Meanwhile, Senju Hashirama clasped his hands together, summoning towering red torii gates from the sky.

"Sage Art: Gate of the Great God!"

The massive gates crashed down, pinning the Gold and Silver Brothers beneath their weight. They let out guttural cries before collapsing in defeat. The Gate of the Great God had sealed off their chakra, leaving their reanimated bodies incapable of regenerating.

Behind Hashirama, the Third Raikage and Second Mizukage lay immobilized under the same technique. Of the ten powerful opponents encircling him, only Mū, Ōnoki, and Hanzo remained.

"Hah! Looks like Tobirama's stirring up quite the commotion over there. As his brother, I can't let him show me up!" Hashirama scratched his head, glancing toward the chaos several kilometers away caused by the Deva Path's Shinra Tensei.

With a grin, he brought his hands together again, ready for more.

The three remaining opponents exchanged uneasy glances. Despite their immortal Edo Tensei forms, their will to fight was rapidly fading. Yet, under the caster's control, their bodies surged forward involuntarily.

On a crumbling Uchiha Madara statue in the distance, Orochimaru licked his parched lips, muttering to himself:

"If Pain loses to Tobirama, I might have to use him…"

Orochimaru's pawns could only stall Hashirama for ten minutes. If Pain failed to seal Tobirama within that time, Orochimaru would be forced to face both brothers simultaneously. His only card left was the trump he had hidden all along—Uchiha Madara.

But even Orochimaru doubted his weakening mental energy could control someone as fearsome as the legendary Uchiha.

The Deva Path, having just unleashed another Shinra Tensei, hovered mid-air, its body trembling with exhaustion. Before it could descend, a massive water dragon surged forward, snapping its jaws around it.

Tobirama stepped out from the dust, his cold gaze fixed on the struggling figure within the water dragon. The Deva Path was clearly entering a state of weakness after its last attack.

In the cave, Nagato's face twisted in agony as blood poured from every orifice. His ghastly visage resembled a demon from hell. Ignoring the toll on his body, he drew even more life force to empower the Deva Path.

Within the water dragon, the Deva Path's drained form suddenly flared with renewed energy.

"Shinra Tensei!"

The water dragon shattered into droplets under the overwhelming force. The Deva Path emerged, floating mid-air, its Rinnegan glaring down at Tobirama.

"Senju Tobirama, I'll admit—you're stronger than anyone I've ever faced. And you seem to know things about the Akatsuki that even Uchiha Itachi wouldn't have revealed."

"But I no longer care where your information comes from…"

"Your existence is the greatest obstacle to peace!"

"Now, witness the true power of the Rinnegan—the power of a god!"

"Chibaku Tensei!"

The Deva Path roared as a dense black sphere of chakra shot into the sky. It hovered hundreds of meters above before unleashing an immense gravitational pull, drawing everything below toward it.

The earth quaked violently as massive chunks of land tore free, soaring into the air to encircle the black sphere.

"Don't think of escaping! Banshō Ten'in!"

The Deva Path extended its hand, releasing a suction force to lock onto Tobirama, preventing him from teleporting away with Flying Thunder God. The ground beneath Tobirama crumbled, pulling him upward.

"When did I say I was running?" Tobirama's crimson eyes glinted as he faced the raging Deva Path.

Nagato had clearly lost himself, obsessed with his god complex. Tobirama wasn't about to humor him.

Being sealed in the Planetary Devastation was a fate reserved for Kaguya.

"Water Release!"

A colossal water giant rapidly formed under Tobirama's command, its massive frame crashing down with earth-shaking force.

The density of the water compressed under Tobirama's control turned it into a devastating weapon. From the water giant's hand emerged an enormous blade that glistened like ice.

The Deva Path ceased drawing in debris and redirected its focus, hurtling the massive Planetary Devastation downward like a meteor.

With a roar, the water giant raised its blade, slashing upward to meet the descending black sphere.

The world seemed to hold its breath.

In the next moment, a deafening explosion shook the heavens. The battlefield, already ravaged, was consumed in a blinding white light that swallowed everything in its wake.
