Naruto:Reborn into Naruto world with five wishes[Hashirama template]

Chapter 51: Forest of death begins.

According to the briefing, there were about sixty students participating, which would result in twenty teams of three. Ten teams had been given the Heaven Scroll, while the other ten, including ours, had the Earth Scroll.

With everything prepared, each team was assigned one of the 44 gates scattered around the training ground.

Our team—Kakashi, Guy, and I—was sent to Gate Seven.

At exactly 12 o'clock, the instructor standing near the gate allowed us in and simply said, "Don't die."

We dashed into the entrance.

The second exam had begun.

As soon as we entered, the only thing we saw was a dense forest with numerous chakra signatures of animals, flora, and fauna.

We moved a little deeper into the forest and stopped at a spot.

Then I decided to speak.

"We're at Gate Seven, and we have the Earth Scroll. Since there are twenty teams, the gates should have been distributed using the odd numbers—like one, three, five, seven, and so on."

Kakashi and Guy listened intently as I continued.

"We don't know which team has which scroll. So what we should do now is head to the nearest gate, either Gate Five to our right or Gate Nine to our left."

Kakashi suggested that we split up, but I shook my head.

"No rush. Let's go to Gate Five first and ask the team to hand over their scroll. If they have the Heaven Scroll, perfect. If not, just give them a few punches and move on to Gate Nine."

I grinned. "No need to split up. We have plenty of time. If we keep moving toward the tower, we'll face plenty of teams on the way. We can gain the scroll easily and complete the exam."

Hearing this, both Kakashi and Guy nodded, and we all began heading toward Gate Number Five.

When we reached it, nobody was there. I spread my senses and found a group of three heading deeper into the forest. I informed the others, and we followed.

After just thirty seconds of travel, I located them. Kakashi, Guy, and I hid within the trees and watched as the trio battled a giant bear.

We were just waiting. The Genin below were holding their own, but then a Hyuga Genin—who I recognized as Tokuma Hyuga, a year senior to us—activated his Byakugan. He spotted Kakashi and Guy's chakra signatures and threw a kunai in our direction.

We dodged and landed on the ground.

Kakashi stepped forward and spoke calmly.

"We don't need to fight. Your teammates are already dealing with a beast. They can't lose focus and come help you. Just show us your scroll. If it's the Earth Scroll, hand it over and we'll be on our way."

Tokuma contemplated for a moment but ultimately decided to take us on. He was confident in his strength. The only reason he hesitated was because both Kakashi and I were Rank 1 and Rank 2 in the written exam.

He rushed toward us, performing the **Gentle Fist** taijutsu.

But we just stood there.

Guy launched forward, executing the Leaf Hurricane. Tokuma responded with Eight Trigrams Palm Rotation, creating a chakra barrier around himself to defend. He was shocked by the impact of the kick and Guy's sheer speed.

Not backing down, Tokuma moved in again, this time using Eight Trigrams Sixty-Four Palms, aiming to block and disrupt Guy's chakra points to prevent him from using any chakra-based attacks.

They exchanged blows. Tokuma managed to land a few hits and blocked some of Guy's chakra points, but he hadn't completely succeeded. Meanwhile, he had taken several heavy punches.

His technique might have worked against someone reliant on ninjutsu, but Guy was different.

Guy ended the fight with a powerful kick to the side of Tokuma's face.

Then he asked, "Hand over the scroll."

Tokuma glanced toward his teammates, who were still struggling against the bear.

Having no choice, he threw the scroll toward us. I caught it and checked.

It was a Heaven Scroll.

I tossed it back to him and said, "If you'd shown this earlier, we would've already left. None of this would've happened."

Tokuma regretted his choice a little. Without another word, Kakashi, Guy, and I flickered away, heading toward Gate Number Three since it was closer than Gate Nine.

Upon reaching it, I kept my senses wide. I had a sensing radius of one kilometer for general chakra detection and 500 meters for detailed sensing. I found only wild animals and plants—no humans.

I decided we should head toward the tower from our location.

As we progressed, Kakashi and I detected traces of another team. We went deeper—about one and a half kilometers—and soon found two teams engaged in battle.

We stayed hidden and observed.

From the looks of it, the leader of one team was a Nara. All three of us—Kakashi, Guy, and I—recognized him. He was Rank 3 in the written exam: **Ensui Nara**.

The other leader was an Uchiha. Kakashi recognized him immediately; I didn't. He was **Izuna Uchiha**, a top-ranked Genin, a year older than us.

Ensui's team wasn't the typical Ino-Shika-Cho trio. That lineup only forms when members of those clans are in the same class and show comparable talent, which wasn't the case this time.

Izuna was using a Fireball Jutsu, while the two non-genius teammates from the opposing team combined their efforts to counter with a Water Release jutsu. It took both of them to extinguish the Uchiha's flames.

Meanwhile, Ensui Nara had used Shadow Possession Jutsu to trap one of the Uchiha team members. Izuna hadn't awakened his Sharingan yet, so he wasn't as overpowering as some others from his clan.

Ensui threatened to kill Izuna's trapped teammate. Seeing this, Izuna held off on attacking. An Earth-style user from his team emerged from underground and retreated back to Izuna's side.

Now, the two teams faced each other again.

On one side: Ensui's team, with four people including the captured Uchiha Genin.

On the other side: Izuna and the Earth-style Genin.
