"Womanizer," Shao Mi rolled her eyes, catching onto the playful tone of my words.

"Hey, can't blame me for being irresistible," I retorted with a smirk, leaning casually against air.

"Idiot," she muttered, deciding to completely ignore me.

I shrugged, not bothered by her dismissal, and focused my view on the Hut.

"I think it's better for you to stay here. You might get angry again," I suggested, glancing at her.

I realized that introducing my soon to be wife to my ex wife right of the bat might not be the best idea.

"Why?" She asked, not knowing that we are here for Zayen.

"Just in case," I replied, keeping it simple. "Better safe than sorry."

Deep down, I knew that Zayen wouldn't mind meeting Shao Mi, but the reverse might not be true.

"Alright, I'll wait here," she sighed, reluctantly giving in.

With her staying behind, I walked toward the small hut.

The hut, simple and weathered, stood quietly.

I approached the wooden door, and knock on it.

After a moment, the door creaked open. Zayen stood there, immediately recognizing me.

Her eyes filled with sorrow, and she threw her arms around me, hugging me tightly.

"Ji-hoon..." she whimpered, her voice choked with grief. Tears streamed down her face as she clung to me, deeply.

"What happened?" I asked, confused by her intense and sudden outburst.

Her sobbing only grew louder as she struggled to find the words.

"Our son, he's dead. She killed him!" she cried, the pain in her voice echoing the devastation in her heart.

"I..." My words faltered as I struggled to give a shit .

No grief, no sadness, not even a hint of emotion. It was as if a void had opened up inside me, leaving me numb to the pain around me.

However, I couldn't bring myself to reveal my lack of concern to Zayen, who was now gripping me tightly in her grief.

She had just lost her son, and the least I could do was pretend to care.

So, I tapped into my ability to simulate a fake feeling, allowing genuine sadness to show on my face.

"Who killed him?" I asked through gritted teeth, my anger masking my true nature as a caring father—or at least, that's what I wanted Zayen to believe.

"Don't worry, I'll make her suffer a fate worse than death," I reassured Zayen, my expression still etched with anger.

"I will show them what hell looks like," I declared, my voice filled with conviction.

The entire small world trembled as if the very fabric of reality was being torn a part.
