Chapter 518 A Chance

Everyone paused for a moment, including the Zol Clan members who were unaware of the massive responsibility they held.

They had believed all the killing was just to satisfy their urge for violence, and not for the sake of saving the universe against the biggest threat .

"So?" I asked, raising an eyebrow. I couldn't care less about them.

What sacrifice?

What duty?

Even if they were saints, I would still kill them the moment I decided to.

Nothing would change my mind.

Well, maybe if she undressed in front of me, I might consider sparing her.

After all, I'm very benevolent towards beautiful women.

However, I wouldn't tell her that was the prerequisite to trigger my big heart.

I have what they call delicacy and a gentleman manners, so I couldn't just ask her such crude request. She needed to figure it out herself or just accept her death, simple as that.

"I'll give you all a fighting chance. I'll only use 20% of my power. If any of you manage to hurt me, I'll spare your lives," I taunted them.

Zelly was shocked to hear my statement, and a small glimmer of hope appeared in her eyes.

However, the other members felt insulted and mocked.

Unaware of the true power of a godlike being, they mistakenly perceived me as merely slightly stronger than average, their understanding of power screwed by their long confinement on Earth.

"Attack him!" one of the Zol Clan members shouted in frustration, convincing others to do the same.

Their usual invisible hands surged through the air, creating shock waves as they launched a powerful combined attack at me.

The overall power of their attack rivaled that of multiple nuclear blasts in terms of penetrating force.

However—

"Break," I commanded with a single word, and all the invisible hands shattered like fragile glass, dispersing into the air.

They were stunned for a moment, but they quickly shook off their shock and regrouped, their anger burning brighter than before.

After being embarrassed , they began to encircle me, their movements coordinated as they launched a barrage of attacks from all sides.

BOOOOM!

BOOOOM!

BOOOOM!

Multiple explosions echoed through the once-beautiful mountain, reducing it to ruins in a matter of seconds.

The ground trembled from the raw energy being unleashed, sending shockwaves rippling through the air.

Even Shao Mi, who stood beside me, couldn't hide her growing anxiety.

Each of these attacks has enough power to fatally wound her, but I remained standing there without a care in the world.

"Are you alright ? You look nervous ?" I asked with a casual smile .

She paused for a moment and looked me in the eye with a frustrated expression. I could sense her irritation, maybe thinking I was mocking her, when in fact, I was merely trying to show her that I cared.

Stubborn women were really difficult to handle; they could easily take offense at the slightest thing.

I reached out and gently placed a hand on her shoulder, trying to convey reassurance through my touch.

"I understand your concerns," I said softly, my voice gentle but firm. "But trust me, I have everything under control."

She looked at me in the eye, and in that moment, I could see the walls she had built around herself starting to crumble. With a soft sigh, she finally gave in, allowing herself to trust me fully.

After what felt like 10 minutes, the bombardment finally stopped.

As the dust settled, everyone looked exhausted, their faces etched with fatigue.

However, their exhaustion quickly turned to shock and disbelief as they saw the three of us sitting at a tea table that I had created, leisurely taking sips of tea as if nothing had happened.

"You guys done already? Keep going, I'm enjoying the view," I chuckled aloud, watching as they gritted their teeth in annoyance.

This was what true and overwhelming power looked like. While others tried their best, I was just here, playing around with their feelings and ego.

And the best part?

No one could call me out for it because I'm too strong.

"Zayen, I hope you don't mind if I played around a bit? This is my way of taking my revenge," I said, turning my gaze to her, still feeling the weight of her grief over the loss of her son.

"I don't mind. I want you to make them suffer, and slowly destroy their hope," she responded, her eyes red with tears.

The sadness and anger in her voice echoed with the weight of a mother who had just lost her son, a feeling even I found very hard to disregard. She must have loved him deeply, to be this devastated.

I made sure to amplify her voice so that it echoed through the air, ensuring that Zelly and the other clan members could hear her clearly.

"You asked a god to kill your own clan members because your son died to save me? " Zelly responded, her voice trembling with disbelief as the weight of Zayen's words sank in.

The realization that all of this chaos was because of the death of someone she had deemed irrelevant and replaceable struck her like a physical blow.

But she quickly calmed her emotions down and turned to me.

"Please, give me time to explain. What happened back then was an accident, and I don't think it is right to kill us just because her son died in an accident," she pleaded, her voice filled with sincerity and a hint of desperation.

Unable to contain her emotions any longer, Zayen rose to her feet.

"You dare call that accident. And do you think he will spare you if you beg " Zayen's voice turned cold, and I had a bad feeling that she would do something unnecessary.

"You killed his son!" Zayen declared, tears overflowing from her eyes.

'You got to be kidding me, now I had to act more depressed ' I thought, resisting the urge to facepalm myself.

The worst part was that Shao Mi had heard it all, and she was giving me a cold stare.

"That's impossible," Zelly stammered, stunned by the revelation.

It was like she'd been thrown into the middle of a soap opera, where the guy she'd cheated and hurt turned out to be the son of the wealthiest and most attractive businessman in the world.

I watched as a whirlwind of emotions played out in her eyes—confusion, disbelief, and regret. It was as if the ground had been pulled out from beneath her feet, leaving her speechless.
