Chapter 553 Second Act - Her Power
The moment we face off, Aria's smirk vanished.
She leaped back, raising her bow, which pulsed with a burning orange glow, as if it had been pulled out from a burning furnace.
SWOOOSH!
Aria fired, and the arrow shot past me, exploding on the vines and scattering flames in a wild spray.
I could tell from that first shot that she had intentionally missed, a display of her dominance.
'Are gods usually this arrogant?'
It was a funny question, considering I was the perfect example of someone who started power-tripping after gaining abilities.
That's why I didn't hate what the creator did all that much.
It was all too powerful, so it began playing pranks out of boredom.
I was pretty sure I would've done worst thing if I'd had live that long.
Regardless, now that the creator had messed with me, I was determined to teach it a lesson in the future.
SWOOOSH!
Another arrow followed, then another, each bursting like a mini explosion around me.
The flames spread, leaving patches of red-hot sand and smoke. But I didn't mind.
I wanted this fight to stretch out. I craved the power flowing back into my muscles, my senses sharpening, eager to see how I stacked up against the so-called gods in this place.
I let her fire, dodging and running just out of reach of each blast.
Aria narrowed her eyes, recognizing that I wasn't backing down—and that I hadn't launched a single attack.
"You're enjoying this, aren't you?" she called over the crackling flames.
"Not at all. I enjoyed fucking your pussy way more," I teased, watching annoyance flicker across her face.
"Take this seriously, or else..."
"Or else what? You gonna blow me... away?"
"On second thought, I don't mind that. How about this: if I win, you'll become my slave, and if you win, I'll be your boy toy? Either way, it works for me."
"Enough!"
Before I could respond, she released twelve arrows in the blink of an eye, each burning bright blue, cutting off every escape route.
But I was ready. I twisted and dodged through the narrow gaps, barely feeling the heat as they tore past.
Flames exploded around me, scorching the sand, but I kept moving, each dodge bringing me closer to her.
"You think I'll let you get close?" she sneered, eyes flashing with contempt.
"Funny you say that, considering I was literally inside you earlier."
"Stop talking!" she spat out.
I was getting on her nerves, which was my intention all along. Just fighting would be boring; I enjoyed teasing my opponent—especially when they were hot and pretty.
She pulled back her bow and shot an arrow straight up into the dark cavern. It flew higher and higher until it exploded in a bright burst, breaking into dozens of blue sparks that rained down on me, lighting up the space with a warm glow.
"You're not the only one who can use flames," I shot back, summoning my own bow, white and black flames swirling around it.
Pulling back the string, I began to charge it.
SWOOOOSH!
I launched a single arrow to meet hers mid-air.
BOOOOOM!
Our flames collided—blue against black and white—shaking the cavern with impact. The force blasted outward, swallowing everything in a blinding light.
I might have used a single attack, but its power was so strong that it swept away her other arrows as well. Quality over Quantity.
As the debris settled, we stood face-to-face, the air thick with aftershocks.
Aria's expression shifted from shock to annoyance as she took in the swirling pattern of black and white scorch marks burned into the cavern ceiling.
"You can use Chaos Flame?" she asked with a puzzled expression. Her voice was steady, but I could tell she wasn't thrilled. "Who are you?"
Chaos flames? Did she really think that was something special? I just mixed some chemicals to create the black and white effect.
As for the force behind it, that came from adding more elements and variables—it wasn't a pure flame attack.
It was pretty funny to see a god so confused, so I wanted to tease her even more.
"I just imagined it."
"That's a lie! Chaos Flames are one of the rarest types of flames Even I—" She paused, realizing her own insecurities creeping in.
"I'm super talented, like really, really talented," I chuckled, enjoying her reaction.
This was what it was supposed to be—to earn respect, to hold my ground, to be feared. Pride swelled in me; even here, I was still overpowered.
'This place isn't so bad after all; at least it's not boring. It would be one thing if there were no women, but I can just pick up goddesses and build my harem from scratch while I figure out a way out.'
"What are you thinking ?" she asked.
"Oh, I'm just wondering what the ratio of gods to goddesses is in this place. Don't get me wrong—I enjoy messing with you, but I like to taste different flavors from time to time."
"You're infuriating," she shot back.
"It comes with being super strong and handsome," I replied with a grin, basking in the moment.
"I'll teach you a lesson!," she declared, taking a deep breath.
Her aura surged, glowing blue lines tracing intricate patterns across her skin, radiating power.
Her bow transformed into a futuristic design, the same glowing lines weaving along its surface.
Behind her, twelve blue metallic halos expanded, glowing with bright blue intensity.
"I'm warning you... Dodge this if you don't want to die!"
SWOOOOSH!

SWOOOOSH!
Countless arrows shot toward me, traveling at almost undodgeable speeds.
But I had a plan. I concentrated, creating barrier after barrier. Each shattered like glass upon impact, but they bought me precious seconds to dodge the attack.
As the arrows crashed into the vines, they obliterated everything in their path.
'Yeah, she's really a goddess,' I chuckled, finding her display of power amusing me. I wasn't the only one holding back.
'Guess I'll have to take this more seriously.'
