Chapter 39: Assessment (2)
This was the Hudson River, and across the river was New Jersey. Wesley was going to drive straight over. There was a seaplane at a pier opposite, and Wesley was going to drive it back. What a strange test.
Wesley drove the yacht directly according to the GPS. Sure enough, there was a seaplane here, and he boarded and started it. The seaplane was relatively easy to fly, and he needed to fly across the river again, but not to the yacht club just now, but to another place. After landing, there was a helicopter, and Wesley boarded and started it.
He piloted the helicopter back to the rooftop of the SHIELD building and landed. Wesley walked down, but as soon as he got out of the helicopter, six agents surrounded him, looking like they wanted to catch him. Wesley's heart began to race, and then he ran forward. When the six saw that Wesley was going to run, they ran straight over to surround him, but they were too slow in the face of Wesley's special ability.
It seemed to be in slow motion, and he was no match for Wesley at all. However, he did not kill him. He thought it was an assessment. After knocking them out, he started to go downstairs. "Why did you come down by yourself?"
As he took the stairs from the rooftop to the elevator on the top floor, an examiner looked at him curiously. "I knocked down six people, so of course I came down by myself. Do they have the test on them?" Wesley asked curiously.
"Uh… no, they are the people who captured you and sent you down for interrogation and testing." The instructor looked at Wesley speechlessly. Six level five agents were taken down just like that?
"Interrogation test? I don't think you know much about my past. I've been through this many times. I don't need to be tested." Wesley was beaten up by a mechanic and a butcher for five weeks.
"Well, you have passed by defeating them. Now go to your classroom and accept the final assessment." The examiner was speechless and let Wesley go. After all, he had indeed passed. If he couldn't catch him, what was the point of interrogating him? But the people behind him were unlucky. The six level five agents felt very embarrassed, and the people behind them were beaten up before they were sent down.
"Wesley, you are really outstanding. This is your final assessment. The time is a week." Wesley wondered why the last item was a week. He took the information and looked at it and understood.
Here was a target, Frank Horman, a former Level 6 agent of the Divine Shield Bureau who later resigned and entered a company to become the head of security. Wesley's mission was to sneak into his home and collect something, no matter what it was, as long as he collected some useful information.
Wesley looked at the mission requirements and found them a little vague, but he didn't ask. He took the information and left. Sitting in his sports car, he started talking to Apple. "This mission requirement is really too vague, and the other party's identity is very problematic."
"Maybe it has something to do with Hydra," Apple said.
"Well, that's true. Nick Fury sent a group of rookies to find trouble with these old guys. These people are all newbies and are unlikely to have anything to do with Hydra. Nick Fury just noticed something unusual and doesn't know about Hydra, so it's reasonable for him to set these suspicious targets as assessment items. Even if they are discovered, these rookies will not be in danger."
"Indeed. What are you going to do?"
"Of course I'm going to observe the target first." Wesley started the car and left directly. The target's company is in New York. Wesley went home first and then set off again. This time he changed into jeans and a jacket and took a taxi to the target's company, a financial investment company.
"This company actually needs a head of security, and it's even a retired agent. It's really a big deal." Financial companies deal with money, but they are not banks and do not have cash. At most, the information is precious. This is the biggest question.
"It seems that there is something wrong with this company." Wesley walked straight in with a glass of iced Coke in his hand. Don't forget that he is also a billionaire.
"Sir, why are you here?" The company is located on the 16th floor. The floor here is all owned by financial companies. It looks very big, but it is a little unreasonable to stop guests outside.
"Why? Aren't you a financial company? Don't you have any projects for customers?" Wesley asked arrogantly.
"Of course, but…" The security guard didn't finish, but the meaning is obvious. You can't wear it.
"Haha, very good, you shut out a billionaire. Your company is really awesome." Wesley said it very loudly, and everyone inside could hear it. His target, Frank Horman, walked out. "What happened?"
"Are you the manager?" Wesley asked before the security guard could speak.
"I am the head of security. What can I do for you, sir?"
"Your security guard just refused the entry of a billionaire. I would like to know how awesome your financial company is. Is it not worth hundreds of millions of dollars?"
"I'm sorry, he's not very sensible. Please come in. Even if it's a small investment, our company will accept it, let alone a billionaire." Frank Horman greeted him with a smile, but he did not blame the security guard, and the security guard was not worried at all. It seemed that there was a big problem.
"That's better." Wesley took a Coke and smoked it as he walked in. The place was a little deserted, not as busy as a big company, but there were a lot of people, but they were too free, which was very suspicious.
"This is our business manager. He is experienced and can answer your questions."
"Oh, good, I want to see the strength of your company. There is a large land auction two months ago, the amount is above 400 million. What do you think of this deal?" Wesley asked directly about his land.
"We don't value this kind of investment very much." The other party's answer made Wesley understand that he wasn't actually asking about the land deal, but that the other party didn't actively look for clients. Isn't a seller with hundreds of millions of dollars the best person to sell your financial business?
"Oh, so do you have any successful cases?" Wesley said with a frown.
"Many have succeeded, but this is confidential and I can't tell you casually." The other party said with a smile.
"So are there any stocks to introduce?"
"We still have a lot of insider information. As long as you invest in us, you basically won't lose money. This is a secret. Please don't spread it around."
"I see. No wonder. But I still need to think about it." Wesley continued to drink his Coke and walk out, looking dissatisfied. Then he went straight downstairs.
