Omnipotent Husband System

Han Lingshi was sitting inside the study with an indifferent look on her face, Hao Mei, Ye Lan, Tang Zhen, Maya Okudera, Hao Xinyuan, and everyone else in the family were sitting outside the study room. They were all furious that Hao Ren forgot the twenty fifth anniversary and Han Lingshi had just told the people not to make a bog deal out of it as the world they lived in had different customs and even more so, Hao Ren was busy.

However, the young man was not well recieved in his family. They all favored Han Lingshi over him, and they would really go to beat him up. Hao Mei stood up from the couch and said, "I am going to drag his ass back and get an explanation out of him."

Tang Zhen looked at her daughter and said, "Take Old Hao with you, he still can deter that brat."

Hao Xinyuan stood up and looked at Yin who was acting very anxious, she saw Hao Ren as her father, and these people wanted to beat him up, how could she handle that?

She wanted to say something when Agnee, who was watching it all from the side said, "Grandma, someone is playing music outside."

The people noticed this and Ye Lan saw Ye Si walking over from the other side of the corridor. Ye Si was smiling and skipping around like a child, she moved up to Agnee and picked her up in her arms.

Agnee was now tall enough but she could still not run away from Ye Si's adoration. After a few spins the young girl said, "Aunty, my head is spinning."

Ye Si chuckled and put her down but still held her shoulder as she said, "We have a party in the evening, I hope you all leave here, and get ready."

Hao Mei asked, "Did you call him?"

Ye Si shook her head and said, "I swear on heavens, I didn't. He came by himself, and is now playing the music to tell the entire city about his first contact with Sister-in-law. Big Sis, you all need to appreciate him once in a while."

Hao Mei rolled her eyes and said, "Well, its not gonna work, because Lingshi has erected the isolation barrier inside the study."

Ye Si smiled and said, "That's a problem for him and none of my concerns, right?"

The people shook their heads and Agnee said, "Sometimes I wonder if you are Baba's biggest supporter or his enemy."

Ye Si chuckled and said, "He is late, and this is his punishment, now, come along, I have something for you guys to handle."

The corridor was cleared slowly as the people all left to handle their own things.

Han Lingshi was trying to concentrate on her cultivation inside the study when she suddenly opened her eyes and mumbled, "Did you really forget the anniversary, Ren?"

In frustration with herself having so high expectations she stood up and moved to the balcony. She mumbled, "Mom was correct, as the relationship grows old, the connection dilutes."

As she was mumbling the grievances in her heart, she suddenly heard a gentle music echoing in the surroundings. It was as if a bucket of cold water had been splashed over her smoldering heart.

She jumped over the railing and located Hao Ren in the void playing the guqin with his eyes closed. She smiled faintly and began to walk towards him. At this moment, in her world only Hao Ren existed.

The young man sensed her approaching and he opened his eyes. He said, "I apologize for the delay, but I was preparing a gift for you."

Han Lingshi smiled and said, "If that is your excuse than the gift should be worthwhile."

The citizens all watched as the two people stood facing each other, surrounded by the subtle glow of the Saint Halos. They looked like ethereal figures to them almost sacred.

The old people on the ground mumbled prayers for the welfare of the couple, and Hao Ren continued playing the music.

After a few minutes, Hao Ren asked, "May I dance with you, Your Majesty?"

Han Lingshi smiled, it was as if the world has come to life with this expression on her face. She nodded and Hao Ren stood up from the ground, before he saw several young ladies, who had been practicing under Ye Yue's tutelage appeared a dozen feet below them and began to play various instruments.

The piece they played made Han Lingshi smile as she remarked, "You remember."

Hao Ren smiled as he stepped closer to her, and asked, "How can I forget? This is the song that was being played in the background of the registrar office."

Han Lingshi smiled and nodded as she said, "I also remember something."

The two held each other and began to sway to the music, when Hao Ren asked, "What do you know?"

Han Lingshi smiled and said, "I knew that you loved me so much from the first moment itself that you had a tear in your eye."

Hao Ren chuckled, and said, "Well, I never expected that my wife would be a bomb. So, I cried like a little kid."

Han Lingshi chuckled and the two danced while pouring out sweet nothings to each other. They had no care for the world in their minds. The saint halos prevented people from prying too much into their appearances, and just when the two of them wished to stop, they realized that the sun has set and the sky was growing darker.

Suddenly, Hao Ren looked over to the side, and nodded. Han Lingshi noticed Ye Si standing at some distance, after waving at her, Ye Si plunged down from the clouds, and appeared above the city as she said, "Light them up, everyone."

The lights in the city were turned off, and then Han Lingshi saw a soft illumination in the street, then it was akin to a river of flames. The entire city was filled with Candle Floats and when the heat inside became strong enough the people let go of the balloons.

Hao Ren held her close and looking at the cluster of floats, he said, "Happy twenty-fifth anniversary, my love."

Han Lingshi held his face and the two shared a kiss before the latter asked, "Where is my gift."

Hao Ren chuckled and said, "Where is mine?"

The two began to poke fun as the city cheered for them.
