Chapter 34: Chapter 34: Do Whatever You Want, CP0
Spider Casino.
Luwell leaped lightly, landing gracefully onto the spider web. Like Ruen, she operated the Spider Casino as her base camp, with spider silk everywhere.
She eyed the pursuing crowd but did not rush to make a move. Kuina took a slight breath, suddenly alert, and dodged swiftly. Although she had not yet awakened her Observation Haki, her rigorous training had sharpened her reflexes.
Slash!
A bloody arc flew by, splitting a dark figure in half. Kuina glanced out of the corner of her eye and saw a tall, thin man in a suit and glasses, wielding a blood-stained sword.
"Kuro?" Luwell said.
Kuro pushed his glasses slightly, swinging his sword, and remarked, "This power is quite formidable!"
"You're not under control?" Luwell was surprised.
Kuro replied, "Your appearance dispersed its power. It took me some time, but I broke free."
He glanced at the cat's corpse on the ground and warned, "Be careful, it can control not just people, but animals too. Also, its weakness is fire. Once it gets close to fire, its influence on the decapitated and corpses weakens."
Luwell's expression turned strange. "You weren't, you weren't cut by it on purpose, were you?"
Kuina looked at him in surprise. "Don't you think this power is strong? Unfortunately, I tried to counter-control it and got cut off instead."
Luwell and Kuina exchanged glances, tacitly stepping away from him. This man was a pervert.
Luwell looked at the crowd approaching and said, "Since it fears fire, we'll use fire against them!"
"This is only a temporary solution, not the root cause. We need to capture the demon sword itself to solve the problem, or else we'll have to kill everyone." His tone was flat and indifferent.
"Uh!" Luwell sweated nervously. Kill all the tens of thousands of people on the island? Tomorrow's world headlines would definitely be about you.
She looked up to the sky and asked, "Will Leno take care of it?"
"Yeah!" Kuina nodded. She trusted Leno.
"I hope so!" Kuro was less confident. Moreover, he suspected that someone was secretly fueling the flames, deliberately letting the demon sword act. Their enemy was not just the demon sword.
In the dark, a figure in a white robe looked towards the East District.
Whoosh! The wind blew, and Lagerfeld jumped to the side, his face contorted with anger. "What are you doing?"
"It's not my fault. The demon sword went berserk on its own." The white-robed man's voice was slow, with no emotion detectable behind the mask.
"What? Didn't you say you could control it?" Lagerfeld frowned.
"It's the young man." The white-robed man replied calmly, "There's something on him that stimulated the demon sword, causing it to lose control."
Lagerfeld's eyes flickered. He took a deep breath and warned, "I'm telling you, just because you're CP0 doesn't mean you can do whatever you want."
"Oh?" The white-robed man suddenly grabbed Lagerfeld by the neck, a playful glint in his masked eyes. "When did mere CP8 trash dare to underestimate us? Besides, it's out of control because you tried to snatch the sword and kill its handler, right? Look at this tribute—the Unkillable Backblade, a Cursed Sword, fit for the Celestial Dragons."
Lagerfeld struggled, kicking in the air, but his attack was shattered by the white-robed man's Shigan. With a swift move, the white-robed man broke Lagerfeld's neck and threw him downstairs.
"You're courting death!"
In the dark sky, the wind howled as everything around blurred. Leno listened to the sounds, sensing the presences. He suddenly opened his eyes. "Got you!"
At the same time, a figure hidden in the crowd looked up, revealing blood-red eyes. The demon sword no longer hid. Light flared up like flames as a bloody arc slashed toward Leno. Leno kicked the Slash Wave away, his figure plunging downward as the wind swirled around him, merging with him.
Boom! He landed hard, the ground caving in, and the wind scattered the guards around the demon sword. Leno stood up, his gaze falling on the figure engulfed in bloody flames. His expression darkened slightly.
"Kaze!"
Although he had anticipated it, seeing it still made him sigh. The crimson reverse-edged sword was impaled in Kaze's abdomen. Drops of blood fell, meeting the Haki on his body.
Chi chi! The searing blood evaporated, merging back into Kaze's body. Kaze was dead, but not entirely. The demon sword he forged with Dragon Gold sustained his life, forming a special companion mode. His sanity had been corrupted by the demon sword, turning him into a bloodthirsty monster.
Without a word, Kaze charged at Leno, murderous intent radiating from him. In a flash, his Haki and demon sword were at Leno's throat. Kosaburo had said that Kaze could forge famous swords, which meant he possessed two types of Haki. The Haki emanating from his body was a powerful fusion of Armament Haki and the bloodthirsty energy of the demon sword.
In an instant, Leno drew his sword. In the sound of dragon and sparrow chirping, a gleaming blade flashed. Clang! Leno held the Dragon Sparrow in both hands, blocking the demon sword.
Boom! Their Haki clashed, shattering the ground beneath their feet like a spider web. Dragon Sparrow, forged from heavenly iron, was 158 cm long and weighed about 475 kg due to its extreme density. It had a thick spine, a dark purple blade, and a design resembling a dragon and sparrow biting each other. The blade was wide, powerful, and elegantly shaped, somewhat similar to Mihawk's black blade Yoru. It combined beauty and practicality.
Kosaburo had remarked that it was heavier and tougher than Shusui, and normal people couldn't wield it at all. This was a blade with great potential.
A fierce battle erupted! Kaze from Wano Country was not weak. His two-color Haki was of A-grade intensity. Not only could he forge swords, but he was also skilled in swordsmanship. Combined with the demon sword's power, he fought desperately, unafraid of death. The problem was, even if Leno slashed him, he would heal quickly, and if Leno was hit, he would be controlled by the demon sword.
However, Leno's strength had grown, and he didn't falter. As he gauged Kaze's strength and the demon sword's power, he remained calm, responding steadily. Every move tested his practice results. The surrounding buildings suffered, collapsing under the fierce battle between the two.
"Huh?" Suddenly, Leno noticed that Kaze instinctively avoided the burning areas. Fire? Leno immediately began forcing Kaze toward the flames. Sure enough, he resisted and kept his distance.
