One Piece : Captain, We’ve Arrived at Laugh Tale

Chapter 123: Chapter 123 : Luffy, There Is A Very Interesting Island

Everyone on the crew seemed upbeat, with Carl naturally maintaining his cheerful disposition.

However, he still needed to consider training plans carefully, tailoring different regimens for each crew member to maximize their potential.

The unnamed Devil Fruit they'd discovered was another matter that required attention.

Currently, only Zoro, Sanji, and Marie hadn't consumed Devil Fruits. Since Zoro would definitely refuse to eat one, that left Sanji and Marie as possibilities.

Marie was the most important consideration.

Though her paint-based abilities showed promise, they weren't universally effective. Carl needed to find additional ways to enhance Marie's capabilities.

After the celebration feast, Carl continued receiving Chopper's medical treatment.

"We need to wait until these injuries fully heal before discussing anything else," Carl told the crew. "For now, everyone should continue self-directed training without my supervision."

Despite this, everyone remained motivated—not a single person slacked off.

Two days later, both Carl and Luffy had nearly recovered from their injuries, and it was almost time to sail for the next island.

Carl took his final dose of medicine, which would complete his recovery.

It was remarkable how quickly such severe injuries could heal.

Carl noticed that the medicinal ingredients Chopper used appeared to be from the box they'd salvaged from the seafloor earlier.

According to Chopper, these rare medicinal ingredients were exceptionally potent.

"The quick healing is primarily due to these special ingredients," Chopper explained.

Carl grew interested in examining these medicinal components.

Seeing Carl's curiosity, Chopper proudly displayed several herbs and began describing them with technical terms that made Carl's head spin.

While listening, Carl noticed something unusual about the oiled paper wrapping the medicines.

He picked up a sheet and rolled it between his fingers, feeling what seemed to be a hidden layer. Carefully tearing away the oiled wrapping, he discovered a palm-sized piece of thin leather parchment.

"What's this?" Carl asked.

He examined the parchment and saw what appeared to be names of medicinal ingredients written on it.

Chopper approached to take a look, his eyes widening instantly. "This is part of a prescription! I never expected there'd be instructions hidden within the wrapping paper!"

Both Carl and the reindeer doctor grew excited.

They quickly began unwrapping all the oiled papers, though not every wrapper contained a hidden layer. Soon they had gathered all the fragments they could find, while Chopper carefully repackaged the precious medicinal ingredients.

Unable to contain his excitement, Chopper rushed to find Law. Shortly after, both returned, with Law holding what appeared to be a reconstructed prescription.

It seemed Law had also discovered hidden parchments in his portion of the herbs.

"Mr. Carl," Chopper explained breathlessly, "this is a recipe for a medicinal bath that can rapidly and safely increase physical fitness and strength! Law and I have analyzed it, and we believe the prescription is legitimate. Most of the required ingredients are available from the medicinal supplies we discovered."

Chopper continued, his excitement evident: "Excluding what we've already used to treat you and Luffy, the remaining ingredients should be enough for twenty people to bathe three times each!"

According to Chopper's medical analysis, this formula would be highly beneficial for the human body.

Carl was momentarily stunned before his face broke into an expression of pure joy.

Talk about perfect timing! He'd been worrying about how to improve everyone's physical capabilities, and now the solution had fallen right into their laps.

"However," Law cautioned, "anyone who uses this bath will need to consume an enormous amount of food afterward, or they might literally starve to death. Furthermore, Chopper and I have only analyzed this theoretically. Without proper testing, it would be unwise to use it recklessly." His warning cast a sobering shadow over their excitement.

But Carl remained confident.

Thinking about it carefully, the sea stone lock on the box hadn't merely been protecting gold, medicinal ingredients, and a Devil Fruit—this medicinal bath recipe, hidden so carefully within the oil-paper layers, was likely the most valuable treasure of all.

As for the massive food requirement following the bath, Carl had already thought of the perfect location where they could train.

Sky Island could wait.

During their next meal, Carl presented his suggestion to the crew.

"Luffy, there's a fascinating island on the Grand Line. Its depths are filled with endless delicious food that never runs out—ramen waterfalls, pasta grass, sausage fruits, and more. Everything there is incredibly delicious."

"Nani?! Such an island exists?!"

Luffy wasn't the only one captivated—all the male crew members stared wide-eyed, and even the female crew members looked astonished.

Luffy's enthusiasm made him lose all sense of captainly composure.

Carl continued: "It's called the Boing Islands. Though referred to as islands, it's actually an enormous carnivorous plant that uses delicious food to lure various beasts before devouring them. It's extremely dangerous, but for us, it could be an excellent training ground. So I suggest—"

"Yosh! Our next destination is the Boing Islands!" Luffy interrupted, his eyes glazed over with food fantasies.

"Oh!!!" The crew cheered.

Luffy hadn't listened to Carl's complete explanation at all. Food enthusiasts like Usopp and Chopper joined the chant:

"Boing Islands!"

"Boing Islands!"

"Fantasy Island!"

Carl held his forehead helplessly. There was no reasoning with their food-obsessed captain.

Thankfully, some crew members remained level-headed.

Law asked, "Carl, do you want to use the medicinal baths for everyone on the Boing Islands so we don't have to worry about food afterward?"

Carl nodded. "Exactly. This medicinal bath is definitely beneficial and could quickly improve everyone's strength. However, the disadvantages are obvious—with Luffy's appetite, we'll need mountains of food. Sanji can't manage alone, and we can't possibly store that much food at once. The Boing Islands would be perfect!"

Sanji couldn't help asking, "Mr. Carl, you're saying this island grows actual prepared food, not just raw ingredients?"

"Yes! And it's extraordinarily delicious—people can't stop eating it. When someone becomes too fat to run away, that's when the island consumes them!"

The expressions of Law, Sanji, Zoro, and the women turned grave when they heard this.

Using delicious food as bait for prey—the Boing Islands were truly dangerous!

However, as Carl explained, it was an ideal training location. They wouldn't need to worry about hunger, they could battle powerful creatures, and they could use the medicinal baths simultaneously—killing three birds with one stone.

With that settled, the Boing Islands would be their destination!

"Yosh! Everyone! Set sail now—destination: Boing Islands!"

Luffy issued his captain's order before promptly losing interest in the details, including not knowing the island's actual location. As usual, it fell to Nami, their navigator, to figure out the practical aspects.

Carl quietly stepped back, aware of Nami's terrifying punches and how painful they could be.
