-Zeshir Island-
The battle instantly escalated into a fierce conflict, with the sounds of combat filling the air.
Arashi followed at the back of the Marine formation, feeling his adrenaline spike and his blood boil with excitement in the heat of the charge.
The pirates reacted quickly when one of their ships exploded, immediately jumping off the others.
Sharp alarm whistles cut through the air, echoing toward the nearby town.
"The Marines are here!"
"Quick, notify the captain and officers!"
"Take them out! There aren't many of them!"
Garp's team consisted of only about a hundred Marines compared to the number of pirates.
In just a few breaths, more than two hundred pirates had already leapt from their ships onto the shore, each with a fierce, menacing expression.
A sudden, heavy pressure weighed on Arashi.
The odds were overwhelming. This wasn't the kind of heroic anime he had watched in his previous life; this was a brutal, stark reality.
"Bang!" The sound of a gunshot rang out, and a Marine in front of Arashi grunted, then collapsed without a word.
Arashi leapt over the fallen body, watching as the ground quickly became soaked with blood.
This was a real war, a war where people would bleed and die.
"Bang! Bang! Bang!" Gunfire quickly filled the air as both sides exchanged shots from about a hundred meters apart.
With every passing second, Marines fell—some with headshots, others with bullets piercing their abdomens or chests.
The smell of blood spread rapidly. At the same time, pirates were also being shot down.
Garp's team was an elite force, veterans of countless battles.
They might not have been the strongest in terms of physical power, but their courage and fearless determination were undeniable.
"Charge!!!" The Marines at the front raised their rifles, firing wildly while shouting in a frenzy.
The formation continued advancing rapidly, closing the gap with the pirates to just forty or fifty meters.
At such close range, some pirates began to abandon their firearms and draw long swords at their waists.
A close-quarters battle was imminent! Arashi took a deep breath and gripped the chair tightly—his only weapon.
"Bang!" In the thirty-sixth second of the charge, Arashi's body suddenly shuddered just as the two sides were about to clash.
He groaned, looking down to see a red stain spreading across his left chest. An enemy bullet had hit his heart.
But he seemed to awaken from suffocation and darkness almost immediately, fully recovering instantly.
The bullet fell out of his body, rattling as it hit the ground.
He had resurrected once again.
Arashi's gaze shifted, quickly locking onto the pirate who had shot him.
The rough-looking man, wearing a pirate bandana and holding a rifle, stared at Arashi in shock and disbelief, utterly stunned.
"Jerry, what are you spacing out for?" a nearby companion shouted.
"Hey, did you see that? I hit that kid's heart, and he's completely fine!" Jerry said in disbelief.
"Impossible! Hurry up and shoot him again! How dare someone fight us, the Black Wreckers, using a chair as a weapon? It's an absolute insult to us!"
Jerry took a deep breath and aimed his rifle at the black-haired Marine with the chair, who stood out in the crowd.
"Bang!" The gunshot echoed, and the bullet roared toward its target.
This shot hit the black-haired Marine squarely in the forehead, but once again, Jerry was left dumbfounded.
The black-haired Marine merely tilted his head slightly, then swiftly locked eyes on Jerry's position, glaring furiously.
"That guy... Is he a monster?!" Jerry trembled as he spoke. He had hit him!
Arashi was now fully feeling the brutal reality of war—the mortality rate was terrifyingly high. In just a short time, he had already been shot twice.
Meanwhile, the vanguard had made contact with the enemy, and an even more brutal melee had begun.
Curses and screams echoed once again. Arashi saw Kuzan moving swiftly, wielding a sabre, cutting down pirates with sharp, quick strikes.
He also saw comrades he didn't recognize, pierced through by pirate swords, spewing blood from their mouths, yet fiercely dragging their enemies down with them in death.
The fearlessness was maddening—both the Marines and the pirates seemed utterly indifferent to their own lives, charging into death without hesitation.
"Kill!" Arashi let out a low growl, sprinting forward and leaping high into the air. He jumped a full ten meters.
At this moment, his strength and explosive power far exceeded what he had when he first arrived.
He swung the chair in his hands in a wide arc, smashing it down onto a pirate's head with all his might.
"Bang!" The chair struck the pirate's forehead dead-on. Arashi saw the blood splatter from the pirate's skull as it cracked open from the impact.
The force was so immense that the chair shattered into splinters in his hands.
Red and white matter sprayed over him, but there was no time to care.
He quickly bent down and grabbed a rifle off the ground, only to discard it momentarily in favour of a long sword.
In his previous life and this world, he had never learned how to shoot a gun. A sword, on the other hand, was something he could quickly master.
"Bang!" A bullet from an unknown direction struck Arashi in the abdomen, causing him to stagger.
But he gritted his teeth and lunged at the pirate in front of him again.
The brutality of close-quarters combat was unimaginable to anyone who had never experienced it.
In mere moments, the ground was covered in blood and severed limbs.
Arashi swung his long sword, slashing the neck of a pirate who had his back turned.
The resistance of flesh and bone made him exert more force, and in the next second, the pirate's head was severed from his body.
Taking a deep breath, Arashi stepped forward to face another pirate. Their eyes locked briefly before they both swung their swords with killing intent.
"Slash!" A sharp blade cut across Arashi's face, down his neck, and through his chest, all the way to his abdomen.
Blood from his severed arteries gushed out like a fountain.
But in an instant, his body healed completely, as if nothing had happened, and with the healing came an even stronger, more overwhelming force.
Without hesitation, Arashi struck again, stabbing the pirate in the kidney.
As he withdrew his sword, he charged toward the next target, ignoring the shocked and confused look in the pirate's eyes.
Death seemed to be a common occurrence for a rookie like Arashi, fresh on the battlefield.
In a short time, his system points had risen to seventy-five.
At the same time, Arashi could feel himself evolving, growing stronger with each passing moment.
By the end, he was effortlessly weaving through the pirates, easily cutting them down.
However, as he was fully immersed in the battle, Kuzan's voice suddenly called out from afar away.
"Arashi! Look ahead!" The seriousness in Kuzan's voice made Arashi lift his head to look toward the town.
He saw a dense crowd surging through the narrow, European-style streets, charging toward them like a swarm of ants.
Instantly, a heavy, suffocating feeling washed over him. There were too many of them!
