Chapter 11: 11- Setting Sail Towards Dreams
"Holy shit, a Mythical Zoan—Usagi-Usagi no Mi, model Tsuki no Usagi or Rabbit-Rabbit Fruit, model Moon Rabbit. Well, I really lucked out on this one. In the original show, maybe one of the rabbits ate it and died during the Buster Call... Forget about the Flower Flower Fruit; Anna's going to eat this fruit... hehe, rabbit girl," I thought as I read the Devil Fruit encyclopaedia in the Tree of Knowledge to identify which Devil Fruit I had found.
To call it a surprise would be an understatement. Mythical Zoans are too rare—well, Devil Fruits as a whole are rare—and not even 1% of them are Mythical Zoans, which is enough to show their rarity. If a person just eats a Mythical Zoan and develops it properly, it is enough to become a strong man, especially considering that Zoans also improve physique by indirectly boosting Armament Haki. Although I believe Paramecia is the best Devil fruit, But for an ordinary person, Mythical Zoans are the second best fruits, just after top-level Logias.
I rushed back home excited. "Anna! I found out which fruit the other one is—Rabbit-Rabbit Fruit, model Moon Rabbit. You will be eating it," I told her excitedly. Staying with me for four years, Anna had also learned many things about the world like Haki and Devil Fruits, and, of course, she knew the preciousness of a Mythical Zoan.
"Mythical Zoan? So special... Master, are you sure I should eat it? Even your Devil Fruit is only a Paramecia, right?" Anna replied hesitantly.
"My Devil Fruit is special—it is called the Ultimate Devil Fruit, worth over 5 billion berries. And I personally prefer Paramecia; though they are harder to develop, you will eat this Moon Rabbit Devil Fruit. Consider it an order from me, though be prepared: this is going to be the most revolting thing you have ever eaten," I explained. I created a Room to protect the Devil Fruit and kept it in a treasure box, swapping it with a rock six meters underneath our house so that no one could steal it.
I took out the Devil Fruit and handed it over to Anna. "Eat it," I ordered. She proceeded to eat it with a blushing face, and as soon as she took a bite, her expression turned wretched.
"Ughhh, Master, you weren't joking when you said that this is the most disgusting taste experience I will ever have... hmmm, nothing seems to change... ummm," she muttered. Then her hair started turning silvery white and her eyes turned red—heck, she even seemed to glow for a bit. Overall, she looked even more beautiful now... a solid 10.
"Great, now transform into your human beast form," I said excitedly. As she transformed, she grew rabbit ears and silvery white fur all over her body. Now she looked similar to the Sulong form of Carrot in the original work, but more beautiful... yes, the Mythical Zoan fruit was definitely worth it. I give it a 5-star rating.
"Uhum... my Anna looks even more beautiful now, and the white hair, red eye combo suits you even better. Anyways, tell me about your powers too," I said. Knowing her abilities was equally important, and she would also have to train in the future. I'll perform immortality surgery on her soon—better to play safe and take action sooner. After all, she's already 22; at most, I would wait for three more years when she is physically the same age as me.
"Hmmm, I have gotten very strong now. I can freeze things and shoot lunar beams... for now, only that. I will have to practice later," Anna replied as she felt her powers.
"Well, it's good enough for now. I will help you train later," I told her affectionately. But for now, it's bunny girl time.
And three more years passed living a life of comfort here in Ohara.
Now, I am strong—very strong—but this physique of mine seems to have reached the end point of its potential. I was as strong as King or Katakuri physically, but my Haki was lacking, which I made up for with my Devil Fruit. If I had to rate my strength, it would be above that of the first commanders of pirate crews, but lower than emperors or Admirals, and the gap was qualitative in both Haki and physique.
But I was sure that I could escape if I met them now. Anna has also trained these past years, and she even awakened Armament Haki and Observation Haki. Her Devil Fruit also boosted her strength significantly. Well, even she would be able to make a name for herself in the New World now. I also accomplished several of my goals during these years.
First, I orchestrated an incident which led to Robin eating the Flower Flower Fruit. Since Anna had already eaten the Moon Rabbit Fruit, I decided to return the Flower Flower Fruit to its original owner. Unfortunately, eating the Devil Fruit once again led to Robin being bullied, just like in the anime... So I saved her from one such incident, and she began looking at me like a big brother, eventually trusting me a lot.
Of course, I did not waste that opportunity and started bringing her to the Tree of Knowledge with me. Since I had been here for so many years, I gained the trust of Dr. Clover and the others, and now, even I could read the ancient script of the Poneglyphs. The Poneglyph on Ohara was truly one that only recorded history—saying something about the ancient Kingdom of Marie Geoise. Well, the researchers did die an unfair death. Anyways, now even I could teach Robin whenever necessary. There was no rush, but still, learning completely captivated her, and she strived to become a scholar.
Of course, I encouraged her. In two years, I will leave Ohara and West Blue. As I am right now, my body will hardly grow anymore, so I need to replace it with a physique of higher potential, and once I do that, I could also act a bit more unrestrained—becoming a Warlord of the Sea doesn't sound half bad, to be honest.
And time did fly soon. I was right—the body's potential had been exhausted. I guess Law's father was quite far behind Law, since even with me enhancing the genes, it was still quite below Law's level.
Anyways, now it was the year 1499, and my story can formally start from now. I don't need to hide completely soon. Robin has her Scholar exam today, and I will ask her whether she wishes to leave with me—which I am sure she will. So I waited until Robin graduated from the Tree of Knowledge, becoming a scholar. Oh, and I also became a scholar two years ago.
"Robin-chan, I will be leaving Ohara to go on an adventure soon. Do you wish to come with me? Although you are young, you are already a scholar of Ohara, and we will be going to East Blue for now, so it shouldn't be that dangerous," I asked her sincerely.
"You're leaving..." her face went blank for a moment, but then she quickly turned resolute. "Yes, brother, I will leave with you. I also want to explore the seas and learn about history." That was another burden off my shoulders.
I then bought a ship for our journey—nothing fancy, just a simple vessel. I would buy a better ship in Water Seven, but for now, this one would have to do. We could change if we found a better ship, though. So I sold my house in Ohara and prepared to set sail. This was my first time sailing, but I had read all the books about it, and my strength minimized most risks, so I was quite confident.
Then, on the 22nd of July, 1499, I finally set sail from Ohara.

Yeah I rushed a bit here, the prologue arc was getting too long, the real story starts soon..
