One Piece: I Reincarnated as Ace with a system

"If it's a girl, Anne, if it's a boy, Ace, those names he picked them, so his name is Gol D. Ace, our son, our little boy." Those were the only words I heard from my mother before she died. After holding me in her belly for 20 months, she handed me to Vice Admiral Garp, a Marine, the sworn enemy of pirates, especially Roger, the king of the Pirates. 

That's how I found out that I was not only reincarnated but also transmigrated into my favorite anime or manga world, and as probably my second favorite character in that world.

I am forever grateful to her; she's my mother in this world, at least. The sad thing is, I never got a chance to thank her for the sacrifices she made for me. As a token of my gratitude, I'll change my name to Portgas, just like the original Ace did.

Well, all that happened three years ago, and I'm now 3 years old, and I'm already training. Even before I was a year old, I was doing Kozuki Oden-type stuff. Sometimes I wonder, maybe I started training too early and enjoy my second chance at life, but I remember the original Ace being manhandled by Blackbeard and by Akainu later on during the war, there's no way in heaven or hell I'm going to waste my second chance at life and get killed at the age of Twenty.

The reason my mother had to sacrifice herself for me, the reason they were hunting me down before I was even born, is because they were scared of what would happen if I someone with my father Roger's blood was allowed to live, what I could become, the next king of the pirates; I figured it would be a shame to disappoint them. They were scared of what I would do if I were allowed to grow up. Unfortunately for them, I will be allowed the time I need to grow and get stronger, stronger than the original Ace could ever dream of.

I know that Luffy is Joyboy and that he'll eventually become the next king of the pirates, and that he's the sun god Nika, but I'll find the One Piece first. I apologize in advance, Luffy.

I remember Oda saying something like the final war will make the Paramount War look like child's play. I think he also said something along the lines of the Marineford arc was nothing but a side trip to him, so I'd better be prepared. You never know, maybe my presence can cause that war to never happen, at least I hope.

Well, one can only hope it's not a crime to hope, but I have to prepare. How does the saying go again? Hope for the best and prepare for the worst, so I'll be prepared; that's a guarantee.

I'm sorry, Luffy, I'll be king of the pirates if it's the last thing I do, and I don't know much about the Original Ace's original crew. However, I do know all about you and your pirate crew. To do what i need i'll need their talents aboard my ship their improvement rate is nothing short of monstrous, and in exchange, I promise to give you a hand if you're ever in a bind jst like you did for me at impel down and in marineford risking your life multiple times to try and save me.

Well i was seriously considering it now i'm sure beyond a reasonable doubt that I will not be eating the Mera Mera no Mi(Flame-Flame Fruit) or any other devil fruits for that matter that way I wont be overly reliant on my devil fruit powers well you know what they say you can't rely on something when its not there I just made that up.

Now if i'm not going to eat any devil fruits I need to find another way to fight thinking about it from my perspective there;s two ways to fight Bare handed like the old man Garp and luffy in the future or use a sword to fight like Roger and Shanks to be honest with you since Red haired Shanks is my favorite character therefore i'll be using a sword to fight from now on.
