One Piece: Infinite Treasure Chest System.

Chapter 1: Chapter 1

Grand Line Calendar, Year 1520. An Unnamed Island in the East Blue.

"Caw! Caw!"

The shrill cry of a seagull jolted Ben awake. Rubbing his eyes, he groggily tried to sit up.

"Infinite Treasure Chest System locked. Confirmed world: One Piece. Host identified: Ben. Fusion commencing."

A mechanical voice echoed in his ears.

"What the—? System? One Piece? Fusion?"

Ben's mind raced as he processed the keywords. Could it be…?

He looked around and realized he was lying on a beach.

Wait, wasn't I just sleeping in my apartment? How did I end up here?

A wild thought struck him: Did I just get isekai'd? And not just anywhere—into the world of One Piece, my favorite anime?!

Instead of panicking, Ben felt a surge of excitement. Back on Earth, he was just an orphaned, broke college student scraping by with part-time jobs. He had no family, no ties, and nothing to lose.

He'd often daydreamed about getting a second chance at life—a chance to live boldly and make a name for himself. And now, it seemed the universe had granted his wish!

"Ugh, my head!"

Suddenly, a splitting headache hit him like a sledgehammer. Thankfully, the pain subsided after a few seconds.

"System binding complete. World map successfully integrated. Inventory function unlocked. Scanning function activated."

The mechanical voice returned, and a system interface materialized in Ben's mind.

A grin spread across his face as he examined the interface. Of course, a system is a must-have for any isekai protagonist! And now, in the world of One Piece, I'm going to live my best life!

"Show me the treasure chest info."

"Treasure chests are categorized into five tiers: Iron, Bronze, Silver, Gold, and Diamond. Each chest contains items from across the multiverse. Chest locations are marked on the map."

Ben quickly grasped how the system worked—it responded to his thoughts. He eagerly checked his current location and the positions of nearby treasure chests.

He was on a small, unnamed island in the East Blue. The island had six treasure chests: four Iron and two Bronze.

Ben began walking along the beach, heading toward the two Iron chests closest to him.

Two minutes later, he spotted a floating chest.

"Treasure chest detected. Collect or open?"

"Open."

Ben wasn't the type to hoard chests for later. If there was a chest in front of him, he was opening it—no question.

"Congratulations! You have obtained 'Lunar Princess's Underwear,' from the Inuyasha universe."

"What the—?!"

Ben nearly choked. After all that anticipation, he'd gotten… this? Sure, Lunar Princess Sesshomaru's mother was a beauty, but what good was her underwear on a deserted island in the One Piece world?

This confirmed it: his system was a troll.

"System, what's the point of this item?"

"Can be collected as a keepsake or recycled by the system."

"Recycle it." Ben had no interest in keeping something so bizarre.

"Recycling complete. You have gained 5 exchange points. Exchange shop unlocked."

Ben checked his interface and saw a new feature: an exchange shop. Random chests cost 500 points, special chests cost 5,000, and premium chests cost a whopping 50,000.

Well, that's depressing, Ben thought. Guess I'll stick to collecting chests for now and save up slowly.

He moved on to the second Iron chest.

"Open it."

"Congratulations! You have obtained a Rusty Katana."

Not bad, Ben thought. Sure, it was rusty, but at least it was a weapon. It would boost his combat ability for now.

With the katana in hand, Ben decided to head for the Bronze chests. The remaining Iron chests were on the other side of the island, so he figured he'd check out the higher-tier loot first.

About ten minutes later, Ben hacked his way through the underbrush with his rusty katana and arrived at the entrance of a cave. According to the system, one of the Bronze chests was inside.

Without hesitation, Ben stepped into the cave.

"ROAR!"

A deafening animal cry echoed through the cavern, and Ben bolted back outside.

"What the—?! A giant lizard?! Am I supposed to fight that thing?!"

The cave was well-lit, and Ben had gotten a good look at the creature—a massive lizard the size of an elephant. His heart was still pounding as he caught his breath.

I'm just a high school student! Sure, I learned some basic self-defense during military training, but facing a monster like that is suicide! Am I supposed to take it on with this rusty katana?!

Fortunately, the giant lizard didn't chase him beyond the cave entrance. It simply retreated back into the darkness.

But Ben wasn't sticking around to find out why. He ran as fast as he could, putting as much distance between himself and the cave as possible.

Before he knew it, he stumbled upon the location of the third Iron chest.

"Treasure chest detected. Open or collect?"

"Open!"

Only then did Ben realize the lizard wasn't chasing him anymore. He glanced over his shoulder and confirmed the coast was clear.

To celebrate his narrow escape, he decided to open the chest.

"Congratulations! You have obtained 'Storm of Pear Blossoms,' a weapon from the Sichuan Tang Clan. Upon activation, it releases 108 poison-coated needles."

"Finally, something useful!"

Ben couldn't help but feel a surge of relief. After nearly losing his life, luck was finally on his side.

With this, that little lizard won't stand a chance!

Whistling a cheerful tune, Ben decided to keep his momentum going and open the next chest, which wasn't far away.

"Open it."

"Congratulations! You have obtained 'Turtle Hermit's Shell,' from the Dragon Ball universe. It's useless."

The system's blunt description made Ben chuckle. "Recycle it."

"Recycling complete. You have gained 200 exchange points."

Not bad, Ben thought. At least it's worth something. That Lunar Princess's underwear only gave me 5 points. How does the system even calculate this stuff?

But Ben didn't dwell on it for long. There were still two shiny Bronze chests waiting for him, and he wasn't about to let them slip away.

With the Storm of Pear Blossoms in hand, Ben's confidence was through the roof. He completely forgot about his earlier panic and marched back to the cave with newfound determination.

Soon, he stood outside the cave entrance once more.

"THUD!"

Ben picked up a large rock and hurled it into the cave. He had no intention of going inside and facing the lizard head-on.

Who knows what could happen in there? The cave might be spacious, but what if I accidentally hit myself with the poison needles? No thanks!

"ROAR!"

As the rock hit the ground, an enraged roar echoed from the cave. The giant lizard, recognizing the human who had disturbed it earlier, bared its teeth in fury. This time, it wasn't going to let the intruder escape.

"Alright, I get it. You're mad. But haven't you heard the saying? 'Better to provoke the King of Hell than to mess with the Tang Clan.' Storm of Pear Blossoms—activate!"

Ben pulled out the Storm of Pear Blossoms with a smug grin, feeling like a hero straight out of a wuxia novel. In that moment, he truly embodied the spirit of facing a thousand enemies without fear.

With a flick of his wrist, he triggered the mechanism and hurled the device toward the lizard.

Though he'd never used the weapon before, the knowledge of how to operate it had been imprinted in his mind the moment he opened the chest.

The tiny object flew through the air, barely catching the lizard's attention.

"Whoosh! Whoosh! Whoosh!"

One hundred and eight poison-coated needles erupted from the device, engulfing the giant lizard in a deadly storm. Within seconds, the barrage was complete.

The weapon's sheer destructive power was awe-inspiring—it had pierced straight through the lizard's thick hide.

But to Ben's horror, the lizard didn't collapse. Instead, it let out another roar, seemingly unharmed except for a few minor scratches.

"ROAR!"

The lizard's attention snapped back to Ben, and it charged at him with terrifying speed.

"Oh crap!" Ben's bravado vanished in an instant. He turned and bolted, but the enraged lizard was faster. With a single leap, it landed right in front of him, blocking his escape.

"ROAR!"

The lizard's massive jaws opened wide, ready to snap Ben in half.

A wave of foul-smelling breath hit Ben as he looked up at the gaping maw. Instinctively, he raised his rusty katana, bracing for impact.

But the expected blow never came.

After a few tense seconds, Ben cautiously opened his eyes. The lizard was frozen in place, its body rigid.

"Huh? What's going on…? Oh, right! Hahaha! I forgot—the needles are poisoned! 'Better to provoke the King of Hell than to mess with the Tang Clan,' indeed!"

Black blood oozed from the lizard's wounds, confirming Ben's realization. The poison had done its job.

With the giant lizard defeated, Ben eagerly rushed into the cave to claim his prize.

Two Bronze chests floated serenely in the dim light. Ben wiped the drool from his mouth and approached them with reverence.

"Open the chests."

"Congratulations! You have obtained 'Mask of Deception,' from the House of Shadows. It allows the wearer to alter their appearance."

"Congratulations! You have obtained a Zippo Limited Edition Lighter."

"Wait, that's it? No Devil Fruit? No legendary sword? Just a mask and a lighter? I almost died for this?!"

Just as Ben was about to vent his frustration, the system chimed in again.

"Ding! Host has opened all treasure chests on the map. Reward: One Special Chest. Would you like to open it?"
