One Piece: Lazy Admiral with a Multiverse System

Chapter 23: Chapter 23: Doflamingo Peed Himself in Fear

Even Doflamingo's subordinates waiting nearby were stunned.

When they saw Weevil board the ship earlier, they had been watching closely, ready to jump in the moment he aimed for their young master.

But they never expected this outcome.

Doflamingo was cowering at the back like a frightened grandson, while the Marine Vice Admiral unleashed overwhelming power and took down Weevil in one clean blow.

"Is he really just a Vice Admiral?" Trebol muttered hesitantly.

That kind of power... was this what a Vice Admiral was supposed to be?

What about Vergo, their man planted as a Marine? Was he anywhere close to this level?

Something's not right with the Marines these past few years.

"This one must be special," Diamante said, his voice filled with worry.

If the Marines were really producing talents like this one after another...

Then their dream of helping the young master conquer the world was going to be a lot harder.

Right now, their precious young master was standing behind that Marine like some scared kid.

He didn't look anything like someone who aspired to be the Pirate King.

They honestly couldn't bear to keep watching.

"There has to be some kind of secret behind the Marines," Trebol said after a moment of thought.

Either the organization itself was hiding something, or this particular Vice Admiral was.

Either way, they needed to find out what it was.

Because someone like this was definitely an enemy worth keeping an eye on.

Noah stood still, lowering his fist.

He casually patted a nearby Marine on the shoulder, a faint smile on his face, like he had just done something as trivial as brushing dust off his coat.

To him, Weevil wasn't worth celebrating over.

His current strength was only just approaching Admiral level.

There was still a gap between him and monsters like the Four Emperors.

To reach that level, he'd have to keep working.

"Go fish that guy out of the sea."

"And treat him. Don't let him die too easily."

Noah gave the order calmly.

He had pulled his punch just enough.

Weevil wasn't dead yet.

As long as they treated him in time, he wouldn't be dying anytime soon.

"Yes, Vice Admiral Noah!"

The Marine responded excitedly, almost glowing with admiration.

He was just one of many who worshiped Noah in the ranks.

And after tonight?

That number would probably explode.

"Follow me! Let's bring Weevil in!"

A group of Marines quickly launched a small boat and rushed toward where Weevil had fallen.

They were fired up.

No one had expected that, just after arriving in the New World, they'd already captured a big-name pirate.

And not just any pirate, this one was clearly no ordinary opponent.

"Congratulations, little brother Noah."

"You really pulled off something big this time."

Kizaru grinned lazily as he looked over.

He was still inwardly reeling from what he'd just seen.

The power Noah had shown just now…

It made even him unsure of how to gauge the young man's true strength.

"Congratulations, Vice Admiral Noah. At this rate, it won't be long before you're promoted to Admiral."

Doflamingo forced a smile.

He had thought Noah was just another middling Vice Admiral.

But now?

Now Noah had shown a side that was anything but ordinary.

This guy's strength had probably reached Admiral-tier already.

Doflamingo sat stiffly in the boat, anxiety growing.

If he had known things would turn out like this, he never would've pushed so far.

"Hey, Kizaru, what are we going to do with Weevil?"

Noah turned to the Admiral beside him.

They were headed into the New World to mess with Kaido, no way they could drag a problem like Weevil along.

"That guy? I'll call in a battleship to come pick him up."

Kizaru replied offhandedly.

When they captured a pirate, of course they needed a prison ship to collect him.

But for a monster like Weevil?

It couldn't be just any prison ship.

Headquarters would probably send a Vice Admiral at the very least.

"Oh, that works."

Noah nodded, then turned to look at Doflamingo.

A grin slowly crept onto his face.

He didn't feel like bothering with a guy like Doflamingo for now.

This guy didn't have much real power.

But his ambition was off the charts.

He didn't have the strength, yet still dared to dream of becoming Pirate King.

Now he could only cling to a Yonko's crew like a parasite.

"Doflamingo, why are you still hanging around here?"

"Trying to spy on Marine intel?"

Noah looked at him playfully.

"I'll just be going now!"

Doflamingo said quickly.

This had to be his most cowardly moment in years.

He was usually arrogant and flamboyant.

But for some reason, every time he looked at Noah, he just felt crushed.

"No need to rush. Our battleship doesn't serve food."

"But the prison ship probably does."

Noah teased, grinning as he spoke.

He was clearly just messing with Doflamingo.

But with Noah standing there, that was more than enough to be terrifying.

"Vice Admiral Noah, you're joking. I'm still one of the Seven Warlords, you know."

"If you decided to come after me, that'd be... unfortunate."

Doflamingo's face fell.

He hadn't expected Noah to suddenly turn his attention to him.

It felt like he couldn't even push back a little.

"Then just stay."

"The prison ship should be here soon."

"I'll use 'attacking a Marine vessel' as the reason for your arrest."

Noah chuckled lightly.

Doflamingo might still be throwing around the Warlord title.

But that was just a formality, a show for the outside world.

The Marines didn't follow that rule anymore.

After all…

The right to interpret everything belonged to the Marines alone.

That was the arrogance of the Navy.

The Warlords were just tools used to deal with the Yonko.

The Marines gave them a few privileges, sure.

But that didn't mean they had any real power to resist the Navy.

"No thanks!"

Doflamingo jumped up at once, not daring to stay on the ship a second longer.

He was genuinely afraid Noah might really arrest him and send him off to Impel Down.

This guy was clearly insane.

And even worse, he was smart enough to manipulate the Marine system just like him.

But in front of Noah, all his so-called Warlord privileges were worthless.
