One Piece: Lazy Admiral with a Multiverse System

Chapter 28: Chapter 28: Are You Trying to Become Fleet Admiral?!

"Oh? White Night brat, mind letting this old man take a look?"

Zephyr smiled as he turned to Noah.

For now, the issue with Weevil could wait.

What intrigued Zephyr more was this technique that seemed worthy of standing alongside Rokushiki.

For years, Rokushiki had been a foundational technique in the Marines.

But over time, even pirates had picked it up.

Zephyr had always wanted to bring something new into the system, inject fresh blood into the ranks.

Yet he'd never found a proper way to do so.

"Come on, Zephyr-sensei, don't say it like that," Noah chuckled.

"This stuff is meant to strengthen the Marines. I was planning to hand it over to the Fleet Admiral eventually. I just used Hina to test its effects first."

He nodded at Hina, who immediately retrieved several books from his room.

Kizaru had been eyeing these breathing techniques for a while now.

Noah had already prepared everything last night.

But before Kizaru could say anything, Zephyr stepped in first.

"Then allow me to evaluate it."

He opened one of the manuals with a smile and flipped through the techniques and annotations.

"Swordsmanship?" he murmured, narrowing his eyes.

Among the older generation of Admirals, most had their own unique specialties.

Even Zephyr, who had focused on physical combat, had studied swordsmanship back when his martial path hit a wall.

So it was no surprise, Zephyr was a swordmaster in his own right.

Let alone Sengoku, Aokiji, Kizaru, Akainu—every one of the three Admirals were also formidable swordmasters.

Not one of them had any glaring weaknesses.

"This set combines breathing techniques with swordsmanship," Noah explained lightly.

"They produce unexpected results when used together."

Kizaru's head immediately leaned in.

He snatched one of the books from Hina, noticing the title: Water Breathing.

A spark of curiosity lit up his face.

He flipped through a few pages, and his eyes were instantly glued.

The Marines had tried developing their own breathing techniques before.

But those were always designed for ordinary soldiers.

If you wanted to become a true powerhouse, you had to carve your own path.

Yet this... this felt like a shortcut to the top.

"This breathing technique…"

Zephyr's hands trembled slightly as he looked at Noah.

He had always known the boy was strong.

But he hadn't expected this level of brilliance.

He gave it a quick try, there wasn't a huge boost in power.

But that was to be expected.

After all, Zephyr was already an Admiral-level monster.

Yet even someone at his level still felt enhancement from the breathing technique?

What about Rear Admirals or Vice Admirals?

This would be a major breakthrough for them.

This wasn't just a training method, this was a strategic weapon.

"How many books in total?" Zephyr asked, his breath growing more ragged.

"To think you accomplished something that has eluded the entire Marine corps for decades…"

"Noah, your talent shouldn't be hidden like this."

He was getting too excited now.

Just this alone was enough to secure Noah's Admiral seat.

The world order might just change because of him.

"Seven volumes," Noah answered with a grin.

Right now, he was a Marine.

Strengthening the Marines was only natural.

"Seven?!"

Zephyr's breathing became unsteady.

Calling Noah "gifted" was an understatement—this kid was a true genius.

Only Vegapunk could be considered his equal now.

"But," Noah added, "they were all split from a single core breathing style. That root technique is the true source."

Zephyr quickly flipped through the other manuals.

Each technique focused on different aspects of combat, designed for different types of fighters.

It was a customizable framework, exactly what the Marines needed most.

They lacked nothing but manpower.

High-ranking officers below Vice Admiral were few and far between.

Now that Noah had released this breathing method into the world, it was about to upend the balance of the seas.

This was enough to make the Marines rise like a phoenix from the ashes.

"You're terrifying, Noah," Kizaru finally said.

He'd seen Hina training earlier, but he hadn't realized it was this powerful.

It was like Noah had built it specifically to elevate the Marines.

"You're not aiming to be an Admiral," he narrowed his eyes, voice laced with amusement.

"You're preparing to become the next Fleet Admiral."

Kizaru felt like he'd glimpsed the truth.

This guy always looked lazy, always napping in his room.

But the moment he lifted a finger, he dropped a bombshell that shook the entire system.

Now, even Kizaru didn't dare move carelessly.

"Hehehe, becoming Fleet Admiral isn't out of the question," Zephyr laughed heartily.

"These techniques are on par with Rokushiki—maybe even stronger."

He finally realized just how narrow-minded he'd been before.

His perspective had been too small.

"Stop trying to butter me up!" Noah groaned.

"Zephyr-sensei, keep talking like that and I might just take these back."

Something felt off.

It was like invisible hands were plotting behind his back again.

If this kept up and they tried to push him straight to Admiral or higher, he'd be in real trouble when he got back to Marineford.

"Alright then, I'll take these seven volumes for now."

Zephyr gently closed the books.

"You've got high hopes for the Marines, huh?"

"But don't worry, we won't let you down. Once you're back, we'll have a surprise waiting for you."

He smiled with genuine pride.

Noah was starting to look more and more like the ideal Marine.

Who else could produce something that could rival Rokushiki?

"Let's stop with the nonsense. We still have to deal with Weevil," Noah waved dismissively.

He didn't care about promotions or ranks.

If Sengoku wanted to reward him, just raise his damn salary.

Even a Vice Admiral's pay wasn't enough—who would say no to more money?

"Let's move. Lead the way," Zephyr nodded.

He knew it was a bit early to push further.

But once he returned with these manuals in hand, Sengoku would be utterly shocked.

In all his years, Zephyr had never felt this kind of pride.

Not even from Aokiji.

He had trained countless students, three of whom became Admirals.

Yet none of that compared to this moment.

Noah had presented something that could reshape the entire Marine structure.

A tool that could revive the Navy's dominance across the seas.

Maybe even end piracy altogether.

The only question left was, would Sengoku's budget be able to keep up?

No one could guess how many new Vice Admirals would emerge from this.

But one thing was certain.

The Marine Golden Era was just around the corner.
