One Piece: Legacy of the Pirate King

Chapter 41: : The Straw Hat Returns

Chapter 33One Piece: Legacy of the Pirate King

The world above had not stood still.

While Lian and his crew sailed through memory and fire, the seas had stirred.

Rumors spread faster than the wind:

"The Will of D. burns again.""A ship lit in golden fire was seen descending into mist and returning unscathed.""The Edge of the World has opened."

And so, when the Red Spirit surfaced from the Pale Current—gold-ringed, war-weathered, and carrying a glowing straw hat sigil—the world was watching.

Some with hope.

Others with fear.

But all… with attention.

Landing at Sabaody Archipelago

They didn't dock in secret.

They didn't hide.

Lian raised the Rising Flame Flag on the mast—a new Straw Hat era declared to the world.

And as they walked through the quiet archipelago groves, old voices whispered their names.

"The Flameborn is back…"

"Did you see? That girl with the glyph eyes—is she an Ohara remnant?"

"That's Rin of the Broken Blade—she took down the Iron Serpent Fleet alone."

"I heard the fire one is Ace's nephew…"

The crew ignored the chatter.

Because one figure waited at Grove 42.

A tall woman. Elegant. Hair still raven black. Eyes full of quiet storms.

Nico Robin.

The Reunion

Robin didn't run to embrace them.

She stood calmly, eyes locking with Lian's.

"You found it, didn't you?" she asked softly.

Lian nodded. "The Final Truth. Joy Boy's island. The Compass. All of it."

Robin smiled—just a little. "Then you've earned this."

From her satchel, she pulled a worn item.

Luffy's original Straw Hat.

Still patched. Still strong.

Lucien's mouth dropped. "That's—!"

Lian stepped forward, hands trembling.

Robin placed it in his hands.

"He told me… that if the world ever started to forget why pirates sail, why they laugh, why they fight for freedom… I was to give this to the one who'd make them remember."

She touched his shoulder.

"And I know he meant you."

Flashback – A Message From Luffy

Inside the hat, woven into the lining, was a den den mushi fragment. Sera activated it.

Luffy's voice crackled alive.

"Oi! If you're listenin' to this… I'm probably not around anymore. Or maybe I am and just forgot where I left my meat."

"Listen, kid—being the Pirate King ain't about treasure. Not really. It's about freedom. About finding the realest version of yourself and making the whole damn world deal with it."

"So if you got my hat now… live bigger. Laugh louder. And love like a damn idiot, 'cause that's how you stay real."

"Also… don't punch gods unless they start it."

Lian chuckled through the tears.

Robin was already crying silently.

Rin turned away, muttering something about "dust in her eye."

And Lucien?

Lucien simply whispered, "Damn, I miss the old man."

The New Flag

That night, on the deck of the Red Spirit, they held a ceremony.

The original Straw Hat was mounted—framed inside a protective glyph case—and placed on the mast.

Beside it, a new flag unfurled:

A straw hat ringed in fire, with crossed swords and a cracked clock behind it.

The Rising Flame Era had officially begun.

The World Reacts

Across the world, the waves shook.

In Mariejois, the last remnants of the Celestial Guard ordered emergency meetings. In Elbaf, the giants roared their approval. In the remains of the old Marine HQ, new factions split—those who feared Lian, and those who whispered of joining him.

But in a far-off prison isle once thought lost…

A man laughed.

Loud. Deep. Familiar.

He cracked the bars with a single punch and stared at the moon.

Monkey D. Garp.

"He's done it, hasn't he? That boy's lit the damn world on fire again."

Final Scene – The Watcher

On a floating fortress beyond any map, seated in a throne of broken Poneglyphs, a tall figure stirred.

Not Imu.

Not a Celestial.

Something… older.

"He has awakened the Archive. The World Flame walks again. We cannot stop it now.We can only burn with it… or burn fighting it."
