Chapter 210: Chapter 210
On the battlefield, a small but sturdy figure, standing a mere 2.87 meters tall, ascended through the air with Moonwalks. Garp's inconspicuous fist, fortified with Armament Haki, was poised to strike the colossal blue dragon in front of him. Kaido's towering form stretched over 400 meters long, a hulking behemoth filling the sky.
But Kaido, still groggy from his intoxication, didn't even register the Marine legend's approach. His massive dragon eyes, each as large as a carriage, were trained intently on the coast below, fixated on a man in a crisp white suit who had been on his mind. Kaido's gaze burned with fury as he recognized his target, preparing to dive in for a vicious strike. But before he could act, the tiny figure he hadn't noticed launched a brutal punch directly into his head.
"Meteor Impact!" {Not as strong as Galaxy Impact}
With Haki refined to its peak, Garp's fist—backed by the destructive power of advanced Armament Haki—slammed into Kaido's skull. The punch carried such force that it halted Kaido mid-dive, sending shockwaves rippling through the air as the massive dragon reeled backward.
"Oh—!!!" Kaido's agonized roar echoed through the heavens as the force of Garp's punch tore through him, sending his dragon form spiraling backward by thousands of meters. Blood erupted from Kaido's mouth as he reeled, stunned by the unexpected attack.
Luffy, watching from below, felt his pulse race. He watched Kaido hurtling towards the sea and couldn't help but think, Did Grandpa just knock him out with one punch? His excitement surged—was this going to be the end for Kaido?
But just as he was about to celebrate, the blue dragon's massive tail snapped out with a powerful whip, creating a cloud of dust and smoke around him. Kaido stabilized himself mere inches from the water's surface, his form swaying but unyielding.
"Tsk… what a pity," Luffy muttered, his fist clenched. Though he knew Kaido wasn't an easy opponent, he couldn't shake the disappointment of seeing him recover.
High above, Kaido shook his massive head, still dazed, and spat out a thick mouthful of blood. Garp's punch had cleared the drunken haze clouding his mind, snapping him back to reality. The realization struck him—had he not regained control in time, he might have plummeted into the ocean, a devastating blunder for a Devil Fruit user.
His eyes narrowed with deadly focus as he looked back toward his attacker, recognizing the figure instantly.
"Garp…" he growled, his pupils narrowing in recognition and his massive frame tensing. "You're such a blasted nuisance!"
Garp floated back down to the ground, chuckling as he held his right arm in a victory pose, muscles rippling with controlled power. "Ahahaha! Well, that gave me a bit of a ache," he said, grinning. "Looks like I'm not as spry as I used to be. A few more years, and I might just have to retire for good!"
Hancock, standing nearby, watched her grandfather-in-law with awe, barely containing her amazement. "Is this… is this the power of Grandpa?" she murmured, stunned by his strength. Her gaze shifted back to Kaido, who was already recovering from Garp's blow. What a monstrous defense… she thought, realizing just how formidable Kaido truly was.
Kizaru, watching the whole scene unfold, made his signature amused face, his mouth forming an "O" as he observed Kaido regaining his balance. "Hmm~ That's quite the distance he flew, but Kaido withstood that punch. What a terrifying beast," he remarked, then turned to Garp with a teasing tone. "Even I don't think I'd have much luck handling Kaido. With strength like that, Garp-san, retiring would be a waste."
Garp laughed, brushing off Kizaru's words. "Hahaha, come on, Borsalino. With that laid-back attitude of yours, I bet you'll be retired and enjoying the beach before you reach my age."
"Hey, why can't this guy just fall already?" Aokiji muttered, watching Kaido's tenacity with a hint of regret. "If only Garp-san could have knocked him into the sea. That would've made things so much easier." He sighed, resigned to the fact that their fight was inevitable, and strolled to the shore, squatting down as he placed his hand into the cold sea water.
"Well, if we can't knock him into the ocean, might as well prepare a proper battlefield," he said, his voice laced with determination. "If we fight here on the island, it's not going to last long anyway."
The other Marines nodded in agreement, understanding Aokiji's plan without a word. A powerful freeze would give them a stable area to fight without risking destruction to the base.
Luffy, watching Aokiji's preparations, felt a rare admiration well up inside. That's the beauty of having Aokiji around, he thought. The ability to create a battlefield using his Ice-Ice Fruit was invaluable.
"Ice Age!" Aokiji's voice resonated as a bone-chilling frost spread from his hand, instantly freezing the water for miles.
In mere seconds, the ocean's surface transformed into a frozen wasteland stretching as far as the eye could see, resembling a realm of eternal winter.
As the last waves froze into ice, Luffy grinned, determination blazing in his eyes. "I'll go check on Kaido. He doesn't look too stable right now," he said, turning to the others. Without waiting for a response, his body crackled with energy as he transformed into a bolt of lightning, shooting across the ice in a flash.
"Hey! Luffy, he's targeting you—don't rush in headfirst!" Aokiji shouted, trying to stop him, but Luffy was already gone, his figure fading into the distance.
"Luffy, wait for me!" Hancock called, her eyes narrowing as she watched him charge forward. Without hesitation, she sprinted across the ice, her long legs carrying her swiftly after him. She wasn't about to let him face Kaido alone.
