One Piece: Marine Luffy, Garp regrets it

Chapter 241: Chapter 241

Gion, now 38 and nearing 40, harbored a deep fear of aging. The thought of becoming a wrinkled old woman gnawed at her, so no matter how much Kujaku taunted her, she gritted her teeth and endured it.

"Hehe, little Kujaku, I'll admit I was wrong earlier," Gion said, her tone unnaturally polite. "I apologize, okay? Could you share your beauty secrets with me? Please—I really need this."

Hearing Gion's unexpected concession, Kujaku's eyes sparkled mischievously. The satisfaction of seeing her proud elder lower herself was as refreshing as drinking ice-cold tea on a sweltering summer day.

Despite being much taller at 3.14 meters, Gion's imposing stature didn't deter Kujaku's smug attitude. She looked up at Gion, her expression haughty and triumphant.

"Ha! Look at you now, begging me after acting so arrogant earlier," Kujaku mocked. "You embarrassed me in front of everyone, and now you're trying to sweet-talk me? Nope, I can't just let this go."

Kujaku reached into her chest pocket and pulled out a plain black blindfold, her intentions anything but innocent. She slowly approached Gion, who instinctively stepped back, her hand resting on the hilt of her sword, Konpira.

"Don't push it, little Kujaku," Gion warned, her voice low. "If you go too far, the consequences won't be pretty."

Kujaku paused, her eyes flicking to Gion's hand gripping the sword. A smirk tugged at her lips as she raised the blindfold. "You don't want to cooperate? Fine. I'll leave. Bye!"

Without waiting for a response, Kujaku turned on her heel and began walking away, her steps deliberately slow. Her smirk grew wider as she silently counted down in her head.

10… 9… 8…

"Wait a minute!" Gion's voice rang out before Kujaku even reached 7.

Ha! I knew it, Kujaku thought, her smirk turning into a full grin. Still, she kept her composure, feigning indifference as she continued walking.

"Little Kujaku, wait!" Gion called again, this time running to grab her arm. "Fine, I'll do it! Just tell me!"

Turning back with a cold expression, Kujaku shook her arm free, though her mock impatience was clear. She tossed the blindfold onto the ground between them and said flatly, "Put it on, and I'll consider it."

Gion hesitated, her pride warring with her desperation. She glanced at the plain blindfold, its rough fabric unassuming but laden with implications. Kujaku tapped her foot impatiently, clearly enjoying Gion's internal struggle.

"Alright, fine! I'll wear it!" Gion snapped, picking up the blindfold and tying it around her eyes.

The moment her vision was obscured, a wave of unease washed over her. Though she could use Observation Haki to "see," the darkness still felt oppressive, as though she were trapped. Kujaku's unpredictable nature didn't help, leaving Gion's mind racing with worst-case scenarios.

But to her surprise, Kujaku didn't immediately pull any pranks. Instead, she nodded approvingly and began walking away. "Good," Kujaku said. "Now, follow me. And don't think I don't know you're using Observation Haki."

Startled, Gion blurted out, "Then why make me wear the blindfold at all?"

Kujaku chuckled, her tone dripping with mockery. "Oh, I don't mind the Haki. But tell me—why didn't you just put the blindfold on when I gave it to you earlier?"

Gion fell silent, her cheeks flushing beneath the blindfold. The answer was obvious: she'd hesitated out of pride. And now, wearing it made her feel even more humiliated.

Kujaku's laughter rang out. "Thought so," she said smugly. This is perfect. Watching her resist and then submit is too satisfying.

Gion gritted her teeth, swallowing her indignation. She knew Kujaku was reveling in her discomfort, but she had no choice. She needed this.

Still, she made a mental note to even the score later. As soon as I find out her secret, I'll make her pay for this indignity.

Kujaku, of course, was aware of Gion's intentions. If she thinks she'll get away with turning the tables, she's sorely mistaken, Kujaku thought. But I'll need help to keep her under control.

Slowing her pace, Kujaku fell in step beside Gion and casually said, "You really want to know the secret to my beauty, huh?"

Gion hesitated for only a moment before nodding earnestly.
