Chapter 242: Chapter 242
"Please, beautiful, gentle, smart, and generous Miss Kujaku, reveal the secret to becoming beautiful!" Gion said, her tone dripping with exaggerated politeness.
"Tsk, is that all?" Kujaku responded, clearly unimpressed. "You didn't even call me 'Master.' Where are your manners?"
Before Gion's face could darken further, Kujaku waved her hand dismissively. "But fine, I'll be generous this time."
Gion, who had been teetering on the edge of losing her temper, let out a small breath of relief. At the same time, her resolve to get even with Kujaku the moment the secret was revealed burned brighter.
Kujaku could sense Gion's internal struggle but didn't care. Instead, she smirked slyly, enjoying the power she held in this moment.
"You know about my connection with Luffy," Kujaku began casually, "but did you know all my changes are because of him?"
"Luffy?" Gion repeated, her confusion evident. "What does this have to do with Luffy?"
"Hehe," Kujaku chuckled, leaning in conspiratorially. "Have you ever heard about the effects of a man's… seed? Let me tell you, Luffy's is nothing short of magical."
"!!!"
Gion froze in place, her pretty face hidden behind the blindfold turning a deep shade of red. Fury boiled within her as she reached for the blindfold, ready to tear it off and teach Kujaku a lesson.
But Kujaku's voice cut through her anger, low and teasing. "Think carefully before you act. If you take that blindfold off now, you'll lose your chance forever~"
The words hit Gion like a spell, freezing her hand mid-air. With gritted teeth, she reluctantly dropped it back to her side.
Kujaku smirked, pleased with the outcome. "I'm not joking," she said. "Take a good look at all of Luffy's women. Their skin is smoother, softer, and more elastic than anyone else's. That's the effect of his seed. Even the most expensive cosmetics in the world can't compete with it."
"That's ridiculous," Gion retorted, her voice strained with disbelief. "If that were true, why don't other married women show the same effects? At best, they look slightly better, not completely transformed."
"No, no, no," Kujaku replied, shaking her finger like a teacher correcting a student. "You're thinking too simply. Do you think any man's essence would have that kind of effect? Luffy is special."
Kujaku paused for dramatic effect before continuing, "He's the kind of man who can seriously injure Kaido at such a young age. Do you think his body works like anyone else's? His recovery abilities are beyond even the strongest Zoan users, mythical or otherwise. Just hours ago, he was gravely injured, and now he's already more than halfway healed. By tomorrow, he'll be completely fine."
Gion's skepticism began to waver, her mind racing as she considered Kujaku's words. Could it be true? Is that why his women look so radiant?
Her anger gave way to contemplation, then to a moment of realization. The rapid shift in her expression nearly made Kujaku laugh out loud.
Before Gion could ask another question, Kujaku stood on tiptoe and gently removed the blindfold. Gion blinked as her vision returned, but her relief quickly turned to panic.
Her eyes darted to Kujaku, as if afraid her chance to uncover the secret was slipping away. Kujaku noted her reaction with amusement, though she kept her expression neutral.
Pulling Gion closer by the arm, Kujaku glanced around to make sure they were alone. Then, in a hushed voice, she whispered in her ear, "Sister Gion, joking aside, I understand your feelings as a woman. And since you're so close to my grandmother, I'll treat you like family and tell you the truth."
Gion swallowed nervously, her full attention on Kujaku's next words.
"Have you ever heard of the legend of pure gold?" Kujaku asked, her voice barely audible.
Gion's pupils dilated in shock.
Meanwhile, in the Stormbreaker library, Luffy nearly choked on his own saliva. He had been following Kujaku and Gion's interaction through his Observation Haki, initially paying little attention. But as the conversation progressed, he found himself increasingly bewildered.
"Pure gold?" Luffy muttered to himself, his brow furrowing. "What does that have to do with anything?"
Koala, nestled against him, glanced up in confusion. "What's wrong?" she asked.
Luffy shook his head, offering a reassuring smile as he turned back to the storybook they were reading together. But internally, his thoughts were elsewhere, keeping tabs on Kujaku's antics.
Back with Kujaku and Gion, the tension was palpable.
"Pure gold!" Gion exclaimed, her voice trembling with a mix of awe and curiosity.
"Shh!" Kujaku raised a finger to her lips, her expression serious. "Keep your voice down. If anyone hears about this, it could spell disaster."
