Chapter 15: Chapter 15: Burning the Heavens, Boiling the Seas — The Sea Kings Perish

A dark shadow, bathed in moonlight, surged from the sea — as if it intended to swallow the warship in one bite.

Countless streams of seawater cascaded off the massive figure, splashing onto the ocean's surface and stirring up even larger waves.

Thankfully, Roya had already used his talisman powers to lift the warship into the sky, taking Hancock into his arms to protect her.

At the same time, two other women from the ship rushed out.

"Sister, what's going on?!"

Both were in a panic, but when they saw Hancock safe in Roya's embrace, they finally let out a sigh of relief.

Moonlight illuminated the shadow, allowing Roya and the others to clearly see what it was.

It was a Sea King — and even though only its head was visible above water, its length was already well over a thousand meters. Based on that, its full body easily exceeded five thousand meters.

This was the kind of monster that even Admirals would dread facing.

In Roya's arms, Hancock's pupils shrank in shock. She quickly grabbed him and exclaimed:

"Roya, that's the legendary Deep Sea Serpent from Amazon Lily's myths! They say an adult of this species grows to over five thousand meters long!"

Roya's interest was piqued even further.

"To think such a creature still exists in the sea..."

This serpent had truly captured Roya's attention.

Once they reached a sufficient altitude, Roya gently let go of Hancock and said:

"Since it's a legendary creature, let me see how powerful it really is."

With that, Roya leapt from the warship, leaving Hancock and her sisters behind.

It was a beautiful night, with the moon shining brightly overhead. As Roya dove from the ship, the wind whipped around him, making his cloak flap loudly.

For this kind of Sea King, there was no need for pleasantries.

Roya drew his blade — Ryūjin Jakka — midair. Flames erupted from the blade, leaving a brilliant trail of fire across the night sky.

The dazzling blaze immediately caught the attention of the colossal serpent, which began to stir the ocean into towering waves.

The Sea King's tail burst from the water and swept toward Roya. It looked slow, but the speed and power behind it were immense!

On the warship, Hancock leaned anxiously over the railing.

"Roya, be careful!"

As if hearing her, Roya quickly sensed the serpent's attack.

"If it were anyone else, they might be in trouble — but you're unlucky to have met me!"

"All things in creation turn to ash — Ryūjin Jakka!"

With that command, the flames on Roya's sword erupted into a blazing inferno.

The heavens were set ablaze.

With Ryūjin Jakka in hand, Roya's eyes gleamed like fire itself.

Though he hadn't yet achieved Bankai, even the Shikai state of this blade — said to reach temperatures of 6,000°C (comparable to the surface of the sun) — was devastating.

This was Roya's first time unleashing its full power in the One Piece world.

Before he even reached the Sea King, the surrounding ocean had already begun to boil.

"RoyaAARRRR!!!"

Sensing the searing heat, the serpent became even more frenzied. Its tail whip accelerated.

But Roya ignored the incoming strike. Activating a talisman, he accelerated downward at blinding speed.

Ryūjin Jakka glowed with blinding brilliance, forming a blade of crystal fire.

Suddenly, six towering pillars of flame burst from the sea, spinning up into the sky like a hurricane. A demonic lotus of hellfire bloomed across the ocean, spanning several kilometers.

Millions of tons of seawater surged upward, forming a towering wave thousands of meters high, Royaring like tens of thousands of dragons.

"Burn the heavens, boil the sea!"

With a shout, Roya plunged his blade directly into the Sea King's eye.

A thousand-meter-long flaming slash burst from the point of contact.

Wielding the blade with both hands, the sheer force of the wind blew Roya's cloak wide open.

The serpent opened its maw as if to scream — but it was too late.

Its body had already been cleaved in two.

Blood and fire dyed the ocean red.

From the warship, Hancock watched in awe as the entire sea turned into a sea of flames.

The sky glowed crimson. Through the fiery haze, she could see the ocean for miles was boiling.

"So... so powerful!"

Stars sparkled in Hancock's eyes.

In her heart, Roya was the strongest — no one could compare.

But then, when she looked more closely, she froze…

Roya had taken off his cloak — revealing his face.

Even from great distances, the sea of flames and the fierce battle could be seen.

On Amazon Lily, the current Empress of the Kuja tribe and captain of the Kuja Pirates stood in her palace, staring toward the Calm Belt.

Her heart sank.

What kind of power must one possess to cause such destruction…?

And to appear in the Calm Belt, of all places…

That could only mean one thing — this person's destination might be Amazon Lily.

"Prepare for battle!" she ordered immediately.

Amazon Lily was home to warriors skilled in both Armament and Observation Haki — practically an army of elite fighters.

Upon receiving the order, they quickly armed themselves and began setting up ambushes in the jungle facing the inferno's direction.

Elsewhere, not far from the blazing sea…

A tiny boat drifted slowly across the waves.

On board was an elderly woman, even shorter than most people. A flower was tucked in her white wavy hair, and a snake staff curled in her hand. Her expression was frozen as she gazed ahead.

"That flame… could it really be him?!"

She dipped her hand into the sea.

"Hsss—!"

She gasped, eyes wide.

"Even from this far away… the water's boiling?! That's terrifying!"

Muttering to herself, she sat down on the boat's plank — only to immediately spring back up.

"Hot, hot, HOT!"

Anyone watching might have found the scene hilarious…

But none could deny — a monster had descended upon the sea.
