Chapter 3: Chapter 3 Sisters
In the era before Luffy set sail, there were many things Cassius didn't fully understand about the world.
Fortunately, as a Celestial Dragon, Cassius had access to all the information he desired.
For instance, he learned about the Warlords.
After Roger sparked the Great Pirate Era, the World Government established the Warlord system to keep pirates in check. To maintain balance, they created exactly seven positions.
However, the recruitment process wasn't easy. After all, they were former enemies, and the world was still coming to terms with the idea.
A total of three people were recruited: Sir Crocodile, Gecko Moria, and Chameleone.
Cassius knew the first two, but he'd never heard of Chameleone. Perhaps he was the Warlord who had been killed during this period.
The latest reports revealed that Donquixote Doflamingo had stolen the Pure Gold dedicated to the Celestial Dragons in the North Sea, and the Navy was actively responding.
However, Cassius, having read the manga, already knew the outcome. He feared that Doflamingo would soon join the Warlords, but this could also present an opportunity.
Despite being a Celestial Dragon, Cassius still lacked influence. Even if he wanted to cause trouble, there was little he could do.
He needed to build his own power.
Cassius probably wouldn't have had such thoughts in the past, but whether it was his status as a Celestial Dragon or some other factor, something had caused his self-confidence to soar, and his thoughts were gradually becoming more dangerous.
Conquering the world may sound simple, but no one has truly achieved it since ancient times.
Even the current Celestial Dragons aren't the true rulers of the world. The world of One Piece consists of the four seas and the Grand Line. While the World Government controls most of the four seas, the first half of the Grand Line is largely secure. However, when it comes to the second half, known as the "New World," the true rulers are likely the three Emperors.
If you want to control the world, the best strategy might be to support Luffy on his journey, following the path of the original protagonist. That could carry you all the way to the finale. Since Luffy doesn't care about becoming the king of the world, the title of One Piece is his for the taking. Hand it to him, and as his biggest supporter, you could seize the chance to control the world.
But Luffy's time was too far off, and Cassius would likely grow frustrated waiting until then.
If you're going to do it, then do it now!
For some reason, Cassius felt an inexplicable surge of confidence, as if he knew his mission. But when he paused to think about it, he realized he had no idea what that mission actually was.
It was truly strange. Cassius had originally come from another world as an ordinary person and had lived that way for 14 years in this new world. Now, it felt like this was his third life. When he thought about it, his combined age must be over 30, and yet he hadn't even had a girlfriend. When he considered it, being a Celestial Dragon seemed to grant the power to make anyone a concubine.
Cassius swallowed nervously and quickly shook his head.
"No! I'm not a degenerate! How could I be so weak..."
"Oh! My son! It seems you're doing fine. That's great! You can rest at home and recover. Meanwhile, your father is going to pick out some new slaves for you!"
Saint Bardros' father seemed to dote on his son, but in reality, he had been avoiding Cassius out of fear of divine punishment. He wouldn't come near until Cassius had woken up.
After Saint Rofield left, Cassius's desire to conquer the world only grew stronger.
This world will definitely be mine!
Cassius could clearly feel that, in this body, he wasn't the only one in control. There was another presence, the soul of the previous Saint Bardros, with a powerful desire to conquer. The two of them had now become one.
No matter what, the first step was to get familiar with the Holy Land. Since Cassius had Saint Bardros's body but not his memories, it was better to take a walk around the Holy Land and learn the layout.
Cassius walked out of the room, determined not to ask for directions. If he asked the other Celestial Dragons, word would surely spread. If he asked the guards, the information might even reach his father's ears.
Cassius decided to go for a walk on his own.
"Um, Saint Bardros, where would you like to go?"
"Oh, I'm just going for a walk. I'll be back shortly. You don't need to follow me."
"Okay."
Fortunately, they all believed there was no danger in the Holy Land, so they allowed Cassius to wander freely.
Cassius noticed two Celestial Dragons entering a square building and decided to follow them inside.
When he entered, Cassius realized it was a place of entertainment where Celestial Dragons brought their slaves to punish them. There were all kinds of torture devices and strange objects. Cassius had heard of these brutal tools but had never seen them before. Now, seeing them firsthand, he felt uneasy and just wanted to leave as quickly as possible to avoid being tainted by such darkness.
Snap!
However, Cassius stopped when he passed a window.
He saw a child holding a long whip, lashing at the dancers on stage. Cassius was shocked, not only by the child's actions but also by the three dancers themselves.
The three women appeared disheveled, their beauty or ugliness unclear. But what shocked Cassius was that two of them had transformed into snakes, while the one in the middle simply twisted and writhed.
Could it be possible!?
Cassius rushed inside without hesitation.
When the child saw Cassius, he grinned and said, "Bardros, are you here to play too? Hey, why didn't you bring your toys?"
Cassius had no idea how to respond to the child's words, but when he noticed the guards surrounding him, he knew he couldn't act recklessly.
So, Cassius suppressed his frustration and asked with a hint of anger, "What is your name?"
"Ratatos, don't you remember?" the child replied, looking confused.
"Then what's the name of the guard next to you?" Cassius asked again.
The child didn't know the answer, so he looked up at the guard standing beside him.
The guard immediately stood at attention and said, "Report to Saint Bardros! This guard's name is Paul!"
Cassius nodded, then asked, "What are the names of the three people on stage?"
The child immediately whipped the woman in the middle and snarled, "Did you hear that? My friend Bardros wants to know your names!"
Cassius frowned, feeling uneasy.
Despite the child's harsh tone, the three women reluctantly spoke up and gave their names.
Hancock, Sandersonia, and Marigold.
Cassius was certain now, yes, it was them!
This is my first step to conquer the world!
