Chapter 24: Chapter 24 Enrollment

When he heard that Zephyr was calling him, Kizaru suddenly felt a headache and muttered:

"What's wrong with this old man? He never lets anyone rest on their day off!"

Sakazuki had already taken off his shirt and was doing push-ups with one hand on the

ground. Kizaru rubbed his hands together and asked:

"Sakazuki, come with me!"

"No, Teacher Zephyr just called you."

"How heartless of you, I just treated you to barbecue!"

"Kael treated us."

"Hey, that's enough~"

Seeing that Sakazuki had no intention of coming, Kizaru gave up and had no choice but to

lower his head and walk toward the door.

Kizaru and Zephyr don't really like each other. According to Kizaru, it's never a good thing

when Zephyr suddenly looks for him.

The truth was exactly as he thought.

As soon as Zephyr entered the office and saw Kizaru, he scolded him directly:

"Borsalino! Do you remember I told you not to use your abilities recklessly outside of school, didn't I?! I keep getting complaints!"

Kizaru lowered his head, rolled his eyes, and muttered:

"It's not like I hurt anyone..."

Zephyr slammed the table hard,

"What did you say?! Stand straight! A Marine stands upright!"

Kizaru pouted, awkwardly straightened his body, and shouted:

"Yes! Teacher Zephyr, everything you say is correct!"

"Don't tell me what I already know! If everything I say is correct, then why didn't you listen?!

What is Sakazuki doing?"

"He's exercising!"

"Hmph, as a talented ability user, Sakazuki has always placed great importance on physical training. What about you?"

"Reporting to Teacher Zephyr! I was also exercising, but you called for me. So I came because

Teacher Zephyr's orders are the most important!"

Looking at Kizaru, who was standing like a dead pig, Zephyr rubbed his forehead and said helplessly:

"Forget it, no matter how much I talk, it's useless. You'll understand when you lose it."

"YES! Teacher Zephyr! Then, may I leave now?"

Zephyr waved his hand like shooing flies and impatiently said:

"Go on, don't be late for training tomorrow!"

"YES!"

Kizaru gave a standard military salute, turned around, and marched out in goose steps.

Zephyr folded his arms and watched Kizaru leave the office. He sighed, took out a document

from the drawer, looked at Kael's photo on it, and said to himself:

"Another disaster, I hope you won't give me as much of a headache as Borsalino."

Sengoku had given Zephyr information about Kael. Naturally, Zephyr's attention was now focused on Kael.

After leaving the Marine Admiral position and becoming an instructor, Zephyr's mindset changed a lot.

Now he puts all his energy into training students.

Especially for those with great potential like Kizaru and Sakazuki, he puts in even more effort.

Even though he often has problems with these men, all he can do is scold them. Of course, the reason is Kizaru's immense potential.

Even without the Glint-Glint Fruit, considering his current physical abilities and swordsmanship, there's almost no one in the school who could rival him except Sakazuki.

Zephyr often thinks how amazing it would be if Kizaru could work even half as hard as Sakazuki!

The reason he's always so harsh on Kizaru isn't because he hates him it's because he believes in him!

...

On registration day, Babs arrived early at Kael's house to take them to the Marine School.

After taking Kael and the others to the school gate, Babs stopped and said with a smile:

"This is as far as I can go. Once you enter, go straight to the office building. The top floor is Instructor Zephyr's office."

Kael shook hands with Babs and said:

"Vice Admiral Babs, thank you for your help."

"Haha, I just did what I should. All three of you are rare talents. Your future achievements will surely surpass mine. When the time comes, I'll have to call you commander!"

After saying that, they looked at each other and smiled, and Babs turned around and left.

Kael and the others entered the school. On the way, Kael noticed many students doing physical training on the training ground. Among them was someone they had just had a barbecue with Sakazuki.

Sakazuki stood alone in the corner of the training ground, surrounded by various training equipment. He was currently training with a barbell.

Judging by the size of the barbell, it was not something a normal person could lift. It was clearly custom-made.

Such a barbell was like a toy in Sakazuki's hands and didn't create any sense of strain on his body.

The passing students were no longer surprised. They just looked at him and went about their business.

Sakazuki seemed to notice someone was watching him. When he looked up, he saw the three people standing outside the area.

Ginny and Berro waved, and Kael gave a thumbs-up to Sakazuki on the field.

Sakazuki threw the barbell, and it landed with a dull thud.

Those around him glanced over and were stunned.

Because the usually poker-faced Sakazuki was actually smiling and waving in a certain direction.

Though the smile looked a bit stiff, it was clear that Sakazuki was doing his best to smile.

When they looked where Sakazuki was looking and saw Kael, they immediately started talking:

"Unfamiliar face, who is he?"

"I don't know him. He must be new here."

"Is there anyone newly enrolled right now? He seems to have good qualifications. This class has a high standard!"

"He seems to know Sakazuki. Other than Borsalino, he usually doesn't talk to anyone!"

"I guess they're from the same village. Tsk, tsk, must be another monster!"

"Shhh! Stop talking. Did you forget about the last group? Sakazuki caught them saying bad things about Borsalino and beat them so badly they were in the hospital for half a month!"

As soon as those words were spoken, the chatter suddenly stopped.

They remembered how those guys had been so clever, thinking they could provoke Sakazuki by saying he only relied on his ability and wouldn't fight without it.

Among the students, those few had decent strength and thought they still had a chance if Sakazuki didn't use his powers.

But reality was harsh. Sakazuki didn't even need his abilities he beat them unconscious with pure strength.

This also showed that the gap between them wasn't just about Devil Fruits.

Outside the field, Kael was about to keep walking after greeting Sakazuki, when he suddenly stopped and raised his hand to catch the hand reaching out to touch him.

Zephyr, who had appeared behind Kael, looked in surprise at the arm Kael had caught and praised him:

"Nice reaction, you must be Kael."
