The chamber trembled beneath their feet. The cracking sound that echoed through the stone walls wasn't just from the shaking ground—it was as if something ancient and bound in silence was now stirring awake.
Usopp clutched his slingshot, his knees shaking. "W-Wait, was that supposed to happen? Because that totally sounded like an 'end-of-the-world' kind of noise!"
Chopper, clinging to Robin's leg, squeaked, "We should run, right? This is the part where we run?!"
Robin didn't respond. She was too focused on the ominous presence beginning to take form around them.
The ring on the pedestal pulsed with a deep, unnatural glow, the golden surface turning black for a split second before flickering back. A faint whisper filled the air, a voice older than the mountains, speaking in a language long forgotten.
And then, from the shadows of the chamber, a pair of fiery eyes blinked open.
It had awakened.
Gandalf's grip tightened around his staff. "We must not linger! We need to move—now!"
Luffy, however, didn't budge. His eyes were locked onto the ring, his usually carefree expression replaced by something unreadable. "This thing… It's dangerous, isn't it?"
The Watcher, standing beside the pedestal, nodded slowly. "More than you can imagine. The power bound to this ring is not meant for mortals, nor even for gods. It is the echo of a time long past, waiting for a hand foolish enough to claim it."
Zoro's hand was already on his swords. "So we destroy it."
The Watcher let out a slow, chilling laugh. "Destroy it? You say that so easily, swordsman. The Ring has been destroyed before. Or at least… so the world was led to believe."
The room grew colder.
A long, suffocating silence followed. Even Sanji, usually ready with a sharp remark, had no words.
Nami finally broke the silence. "Wait… Are you saying that all of this—the Void Century, the lost history, even Imu—somehow ties back to this ring?"
The Watcher nodded, his glowing eyes reflecting the flickering light. "The fall of empires. The rise of tyrants. The wars that shaped Middle-earth and the world beyond it. It all began with the forging of this very Ring."
Robin inhaled sharply. "That means…"
"Yes," the Watcher continued. "This is not just a relic. It is the source."
Another tremor shook the room, more violent this time. The ceiling cracked, sending a rain of dust and debris down upon them.
A voice—deep, ancient, filled with hatred beyond words—echoed through the chamber.
"YOU HAVE AWAKENED ME."
A wave of darkness burst from the ring, sending everyone flying backward. The temperature in the room dropped to freezing levels as the shadows converged into a single towering form.
A figure emerged—shrouded in black mist, its body wrapped in the remnants of a long-dead king's armor. Its face was obscured beneath a darkened, cracked helmet, but its eyes…
Its eyes burned with the same fire that once watched over Mordor.
Sauron had returned.
The crew scrambled to their feet, every instinct screaming at them to run. But something kept them frozen in place—a force, unseen yet unbreakable, held them there as if the shadows themselves refused to let them go.
Luffy, standing firm, gritted his teeth. "I don't know who you are…" His fists tightened, steam beginning to rise from his body. "But if you're picking a fight, you've got one."
A deep, mocking laugh came from the figure. "Monkey D. Luffy… The name echoes in the void, just as it did before. Another fool who thinks himself a king."
Sanji lit his cigarette, the flame barely flickering in the freezing air. "Tch. Great, now even ancient ghosts know who you are."
Sauron took a step forward, and with it, the entire room darkened further. "You are all but dust before me. The Ring calls for a master… and none among you are worthy."
His gaze landed on Luffy.
"Yet… there is something… familiar about you."
Gandalf suddenly stepped forward, raising his staff. "Enough." His voice boomed, laced with ancient power. "You shall not claim another host. Not today."
Sauron snarled, his form flickering between solid and shadow. "You speak as though you have power over me, Istari."
Without another word, Gandalf slammed his staff against the ground. A blinding white light erupted, forcing the shadows to recoil.
"RUN!" he commanded.
Luffy's instincts kicked in immediately. "You heard the old guy! MOVE!"
The crew bolted toward the exit, dodging falling debris and flickering shadow tendrils that reached out to grab them.
As they raced up the stairs, the Watcher's voice rang in their minds:
"This war is far from over… You are now part of a battle beyond your understanding."
Luffy grinned as he ran. "Yeah? Well, guess what? I'm not much of a thinker anyway!"
Sauron's roar of rage shook the entire structure as they burst out into the open. The ground trembled as the ancient ruins began to collapse behind them, sealing away the darkness…
For now.

The Journey Ahead
Breathing heavily, the crew stood at the edge of the ruins, the night sky stretching above them. The stars looked different. Almost… brighter.
Gandalf turned to them, his expression grave. "This is only the beginning. Sauron's presence means the old war never truly ended. The Ring is awake. The world will feel its call."
Robin, brushing dust off her cloak, sighed. "So what now?"
Gandalf's eyes shone with determination. "Now? We prepare. We seek allies. We uncover the full truth of the Void Century and its ties to this realm. And most importantly…"
He turned to Luffy.
"…We ensure that the Ring never falls into the wrong hands."
Luffy cracked his knuckles, his usual grin back in place. "Sounds like an adventure."
Nami crossed her arms. "Sounds like a nightmare."
Zoro smirked. "Sounds like a fight."
Usopp trembled. "Sounds like we're all gonna die."
Sanji exhaled smoke. "Sounds like a pain in the ass."
Chopper blinked. "Sounds… important."
Brook laughed. "Sounds fun! Although, I have no ears to listen—yohohoho!"
Legolas, standing on the edge of the ruins, spoke for the first time. "I will help you."
The crew turned to him in surprise.
Legolas gazed at the horizon, his sharp elven eyes filled with resolve. "This war does not belong to your world alone. If Sauron returns… then Middle-earth will fight again."
Gandalf smiled. "Then it is settled. We march forward… together."
As the first light of dawn broke over the ruins, the crew knew—
Their greatest adventure had just begun.
