The morning air was crisp and carried the faint scent of wet earth and old magic. The ruins behind them, now half-buried in the ground, were eerily silent—as if the darkness within had fallen into a deep slumber once more. But they all knew the truth. Sauron was awake. And he would not stay silent for long.
Legolas stood at the edge of the group, his keen elven eyes scanning the horizon. The golden light of dawn brushed against his sharp features, but his expression was unreadable.
Gandalf tightened his grip on his staff. "We must not linger. We've stirred forces beyond even my understanding. We need to move."
Luffy, stretching his arms behind his head, yawned. "Man, I'm hungry."
Nami snapped. "We just saw an evil ghost king wake up and declare war on the world, and all you can think about is food?!"
Luffy grinned. "Well, yeah! Gotta be strong for the next fight, right?"
Sanji exhaled smoke, his hands in his pockets. "For once, I agree with the idiot captain. We need food and a real plan."
Robin brushed dust off her coat. "A plan would be wise. We barely escaped with our lives."
Usopp, still trembling, nodded rapidly. "And let's make sure the next plan includes not waking up ancient evil kings, okay?"
Zoro smirked. "Coward."
"I'm not a coward! I'm just very aware of how terrifying that thing was!"
Brook chuckled. "Yohoho! I would've fainted from fear, but I don't have any skin!"
Chopper huffed. "We really should focus, guys! What do we do now?"
Gandalf turned, his grey cloak swaying with the wind. "We follow the whispers of the past."
The crew blinked.
"…The what?"
Legolas finally spoke, his voice calm but firm. "He means the voices of those who ruled long before the darkness took hold. If the Ring was part of the Void Century, then there must be records, legends, and survivors."
Robin's eyes sparkled with curiosity. "Ancient knowledge…"
Gandalf nodded. "There are places in Middle-earth where time does not move as it should. Places where the past lingers, and where those who came before still whisper their truths. If we are to understand the full weight of this war, we must seek them."
Luffy tilted his head. "So… where exactly are we going?"
Legolas turned toward the distant mountains. "To the resting place of the Forgotten Kings."
A cold wind swept through the group. Even the sun seemed dimmer.
Nami groaned. "I have a bad feeling about this."
Zoro grinned. "Sounds like a good challenge."
Sanji adjusted his tie. "Sounds like a pain."
Usopp shook his head. "Sounds like a horror story waiting to happen!"
Luffy, eyes gleaming with excitement, punched his fist into his palm. "Sounds like an adventure!"
And so, without another word, the Straw Hats, Gandalf, and Legolas set off toward the unknown.
But what awaited them in the mountains… was a darkness older than even Sauron.
