Chapter 468: Developing Forces, Advancing Cultivation
"Only late-stage Second Star?" John was surprised. He hadn't expected there to be so many tiers even within Emperor-level cultivators.
The strength of Overlord far surpassed that of Nine Phoenix and Chaos.
John could feel that Overlord could easily kill both of them. It was like the difference between heaven and earth.
Nine Phoenix noticed his confusion and explained, "The reason Overlord is so powerful isn't just because of his Emperor-level cultivation. There's another crucial factor: he's a late-stage Eight-Star Overseer, and he has perfectly integrated World-in-Hand."
"Eight-Star Overseer?" John was puzzled. He asked, "Does being an Overseer really provide such a massive boost in strength?"
John himself was an Overseer and had reached the early stages of Six Stars.
However, his strength hadn't increased by much. By comprehending the Heaven laws, his four primary attributes had each increased by 100 million, pushing him to the peak of Eight-Star.
But when he upgraded to Six-Star as an Overseer, his four primary attributes only grew by 10 million each.
Nine Phoenix's expression became serious as she responded, "Don't underestimate the power of an Overseer, especially one who has fused with World-in-Hand. If they can break through to Nine Stars, they would become the most powerful existence— a Creator God!"
"A Creator God is that powerful?" John asked in confusion.
In his previous world, he had rebelled against a Creator God. Although it was just a proxy Creator God, he had killed him.
Unfortunately, in the end, he had been exiled to the Realm of Chaos.
"Very powerful!" Chaos said, his expression full of awe and longing. "An Overseer controls only one realm, while a Creator God can create a perfect world. Even The Heaven was created by a Creator God. He is the strongest existence."
Nine Phoenix nodded and continued, "Every world has a Creator God. Of course, that doesn't apply to your Initial World. There is no Creator God there. However, your world supposedly hides a secret— one that even the Creator Gods are crazy about."
"A secret?" John recalled the Mountain Ghost and the Butcher. When they learned that he came from the Initial World, both were filled with excitement.
He hadn't expected that the secret would even stir the Creator Gods' interest.
Nine Phoenix went on, "This secret seems to concern the stability of an entire world. What exactly it is, I don't know."
John nodded thoughtfully, frowning as he considered it.
Even if his previous world had no secret, he was certain he would need to return.
And if there was any treasure hidden, it should be his alone.
From Gaka, he had learned that comprehending the Heavenly Stele was the only way to escape the Realm of Chaos.
Perhaps, if everything went smoothly this time, he might be able to leave.
Nine Phoenix saw him lost in thought and spoke up, "John, you have one month to try to break through to Nine Stars. If you need any resources, just let us know."
Chaos and Heavenly King also nodded. They would spare no effort in helping him.
"Thank you. I'm confident I can break through to Nine Stars." John said with a confident expression.
However, he didn't refuse their goodwill.
He had the Plunder talent, so while he couldn't use the cultivation resources for himself, he could give them to those around him.
But a month was too short. It was likely that only Sword Demon would manage to break through to Nine Stars in such a limited time.
Apart from Sword Demon, the strongest individuals by his side were Cand-Dragon, as well as the newly rescued Nature God, God of the Underworld, Lincoln, Thunder Fireworks, Beelzebub, and others.
They had all been Lord God-level experts, but after arriving in the Realm of Chaos, their powers had been severely damaged. They hadn't fully recovered, and even the strongest among them was only at the early stage of Eight Stars.
In just one month, it was impossible for any of them to break through to Nine Stars.
"John, unless you have other matters, we'll head back now. We'll go to Overlord's World-in-Hand after a month." Nine Phoenix and Chaos left behind a significant amount of cultivation resources before taking their leave.
John thanked them and saw them off.
Heavenly King handed him a communication stone, saying, "Brother John, I'll also return to World-in-Hand for closed-door cultivation. If you need anything, don't hesitate to contact me."
Heavenly King had just broken through to Emperor-level, and he still needed to stabilize his strength.
There was still more than a month left before they were due to comprehend the Heavenly Stele, so he had to focus on consolidating his cultivation during that time.
John nodded, took the communication stone, and Heavenly King's figure vanished.
"I'll summon World-in-Hand and improve my strength." He muttered to himself, heading toward an open space.
This place was at the boundary between Nine Phoenix's and Chaos's territories—one side was filled with the fire of The Heaven's Power of Laws, and the other side was dominated by the powerful Chaos Force.
The area in between was calm and peaceful, a place designated for John to develop his own territory.
He focused his mind and communicated with World-in-Hand, summoning the Endless Desert once again.
Vroom!
A ripple of spatial energy filled the air, and the Endless Desert appeared, perfectly merging into this space.
John then moved to the oasis in the desert and summoned Sini and the others.
Upon seeing him unharmed, they breathed a collective sigh of relief.
"John, did you succeed?" Sini surveyed the surroundings and, noticing that this place wasn't Dark City, curiously asked.
He nodded and replied, "Heavenly King has become an Emperor-level expert, but unfortunately, he didn't manage to kill Celestial Vault."
His thoughts drifted back to their encounter in Dark City, and a sense of lingering unease still gripped him.
Although the plan had gone smoothly, he had underestimated Celestial Vault's power.
If it weren't for the appearance of Overlord's illusion, the group of them would likely have been in grave danger by now.
"This Celestial Vault is so powerful? And who exactly is this Overlord?" After hearing about his encounter, the others looked at John with expressions filled with lingering fear.

It seemed that only Emperor-level experts knew the identity of Overlord, and even Forest King was unaware of it.
John speculated that Gaka must know about Overlord as well.
However, his cultivation was too low for the other party to have shared that information with him.
And if it weren't for the sudden arrival of the Heavenly Stele, he probably wouldn't have come into contact with such a powerful being as Overlord.
He didn't explain further, turning to the others and changing the topic, "For now, this place will be our territory. You can start building your own cities in the oasis. As for the Heavenly Stele, only Nine Stars experts are eligible to comprehend it, so focus on cultivating during this time."
The others nodded. They would have loved to comprehend the Heavenly Stele, but they weren't qualified yet.
John then took out a large amount of cultivation resources and handed them over to Sword Demon and Cand-Dragon, instructing, "There's still a month left. Try to improve your cultivation as much as possible. Once you break through to Nine Stars, you'll be eligible to join in the Heavenly Stele comprehension."
"Thank you!" Sword Demon said, full of gratitude, repeatedly thanking him.
With these resources, he was certain he could break through to the Nine Stars.
"Sword Demon, are you not coming back with me?" At this point, Forest King spoke up, his tone clearly dissatisfied.
"Huh?" Sword Demon was taken aback, his expression hesitant. He replied, "My lord, there's nothing for me on your side. Please allow me to stay here."
"You!" Forest King was enraged. He regretted allowing this guy to follow John now.
Sword Demon was his most powerful subordinate, the strongest individual in Forest City aside from himself.
But now, it was obvious that this guy wanted to stick with John.
What was even worse was that his own daughter showed no intention of leaving with him either.
Sword Demon lowered his head in shame, his expression apologetic.
Forest King had been good to him, and he could never betray him. But being with John had given him so much.
Though it came with risks, the rewards were undeniable, especially since his strength had grown significantly over this time.
"Fine." Forest King sighed deeply, reluctantly conceding. He looked at John and said, "John, you're already comparable to an Emperor now. How about I move Forest City to your territory?"
"Hmm? That's a good proposal!" Sword Demon's eyes brightened, and he spoke up excitedly.
If Forest King also joined John's side, then he wouldn't need to leave. It wouldn't count as betrayal either.
Spoorate was also pleased with the idea.
"This..." John hesitated, then spoke, "As long as Nine Phoenix agrees, I have no problem with it."
Forest King was affiliated with Nine Phoenix. He had already taken some of her territory and received plenty of help from her. He couldn't just take away her territory.
"Don't worry, I'll speak to Nine Phoenix personally." Forest King said, a bit eager, before bidding them farewell and leaving.
John felt a bit helpless, but this was ultimately good news for him.
His territory had just begun to develop, with Emperor-level expert Heavenly King joining, and now one of the Seven Kings, Forest King, was also coming on board.
Although John wasn't yet an Emperor, the strength of his subordinates was already comparable to Emperor-level.
Once figures like Nature God and the other Lord Gods regained and improved their strength, his forces would become even stronger, capable of standing toe-to-toe with the four Emperor-level experts.
The priority was to increase strength!
He stopped dwelling on the matter and decided to hunt magical beasts to improve his cultivation.
The territories of Nine Phoenix and Chaos were filled with powerful magical beasts, mostly seven-star and eight-star beasts. With his Plunder ability, in one month, he could easily reach Nine Stars.
He left the Endless Desert in Sini's care and gave a few instructions before heading out alone to hunt magical beasts and increase his strength.
...
Time passed quickly. John had been wandering through Nine Phoenix and Chaos's territories for over twenty days, killing numerous strong magical beasts and reaping substantial rewards.
His cultivation had finally reached the early stages of Nine Stars, with all four of his basic attributes each increasing by another hundred million.
His strength had grown immensely.
After slaying a unicorn-like Red Bull, John leaned against a tree, feeling a bit fatigued.
Over the past twenty days, he had hardly rested, continuously searching for and hunting magical beasts.
"It's time to head back." He stretched his body and decided not to continue hunting.
Now that his cultivation had reached Nine Stars, it was incredibly difficult to advance further, and short-term improvements were impossible.
He was a bit concerned about the situation in Endless Desert.
The Celestial Vault from Dark City had already become his enemy, and he suspected that the opponent wouldn't act against him until after he had comprehended the Heavenly Stele.
Still, it was better to stay cautious.
Fortunately, things had been calm in the Realm of Chaos these past few days, with no major events unfolding.
He had an idea and summoned Avis, quickly hopping onto its back and finding a comfortable position to lie down. He spoke up, "Head back to Endless Desert."
"Understood!" Avis responded with a nod, unfurling its wings and creating a gust of wind as it swiftly flew toward Endless Desert.
