Chapter 396: 354. Moon God Awakens
"Eighty for the large hammer, forty for the small, may Lord Moon God bless us to forge a future."
...
In the vast square before the Moon Rabbit Palace, the unified cry echoed into the skies.
Could it be said that the Moon Rabbits truly exemplified a Heartlink Network, their tacit understanding so apparent? Although the shout was from millions, the sound that emerged was nearly singular.
Not only were their voices in unison, but the Moon Rabbits' movements were even more synchronized. The millions of Moon Rabbits swung their hammers with identical posture and speed. If not for the slight differences in fur color or varied heights and builds, one might mistake the scene at first glance not for living creatures but rather a regiment of mechanical Puppets or clones.
It was precisely this reason that the spectacle was so impressive. When thousands of individuals perform the same action and chant the same slogan in such harmony, the sight is truly awe-inspiring.
Even Ruthfiel, who had seen many a religious ceremony, was witnessing such a scene for the first time, which made her understand even better why the Moon Rabbit Legion was the most favored Servant Army—undrilled yet so martial in nature, it was hard to imagine how valiantly and proficiently these Moon Rabbits would fight on the battlefield.
However, when she thought about how impressive the Moon Rabbits already were, yet her own Miss perceived them as still not quite satisfactory, Miss Fallen Angel could not help but shake her head in speechlessness.
At the same time, she couldn't suppress her own curiosity about what the Miracle Squad her Miss often spoke of might be like.
She hoped she might have the chance to see them in her lifetime.
The thought of her own uncertain fate, should she begin to take action, filled Ruthfiel with a sudden sense of loss.
She quickly shook her head, though, and composed herself.
"My original self, you truly are timid. If only you could abandon such emotions, you would have nothing to fear," she said to herself, with a self-deprecating laugh. She was mocking the weakness of her original self; after all, as a dark incarnation, she normally wouldn't be affected by such sentimental fluctuations—the recent sense of loss was an influence from her original self.
As for Ruthfiel herself, although she eventually failed in that alternate timeline, her downfall wasn't her own fault. After all, 50 years into that world's future, she was on the verge of integrating heaven and Hell using the powers of Angels and Fallen Angels, poised to become the supreme ruler of both realms.
Unfortunately, out of nowhere, a Fourth King with Omniscience and Omnipotence emerged in the Witch World, and what's more, she was a Mad King. Without a word, she initiated the apocalypse, destroying all worlds except for the Witch World, to create a future where only Witches remained.
Ruthfiel merely caught a distant glimpse of the Fourth King from the depths of Hell, and then, with combat power rivaling the average Witch Sage, she inexplicably went mad and subsequently took her own life.
Concerning this bewildering manner of death, Ruthfiel had always been quite discontented, although there was nothing she could do about it—after all, she had become just an incarnation with no autonomy.
This current self faced a different fate. Abandoned and unloved at the beginning, she narrowly avoided being executed by Witches at birth but ultimately had her Witch Bloodline revoked by the cold and domineering Dragon Queen, and she was exiled to heaven. Then, for the decades before her mother, the Lord of Glory, could extricate herself, she could only strive to survive on her own efforts.
Heaven was not the harmonious paradise mortals imagined it to be—it was, in fact, more brutal than the Abyssal Hell. As an Angel with half her Talent stripped away, living was an arduous task that required her utmost effort, and her habit of exploiting everything developed during that time.
Sometimes, Ruthfiel truly envied the good fortune of this current incarnation. She couldn't understand how the Dragon Queen, who she remembered as so ruthless and imperious, would benevolently protect and even adopt her. This dreamlike beginning made Miss Fallen Angel weep with envy.
Moreover, her original body's Angel's Blood has been discarded, and now she is a pureblood witch, which is even better. This way, fifty years later, she won't have to worry about being directly purged by that terrifying Fourth King.
It's just a pity that, although this body possesses everything that Ruthfiel has longed for but couldn't attain, it insists on courting death, hell-bent on becoming the God King Holy Child.
That choice doesn't actually seem like a good one in the eyes of Miss Fallen Angel. After all, let's not even mention the dangerous paths to becoming the God King Holy Child that could lead to one's inadvertent demise.
Just the pain of having to revert to a mixed heritage to first become the God King Holy Child is unbearable. Only the deranged Fourth King knows whether he might find the original body, with its Angel's Bloodline, somewhat of an eyesore, and just as easily decide to purge it.
Unfortunately, Ruthfiel is now just a weak, pitiful avatar without any autonomy. As everyone knows, avatars have no rights, and she can only let the original body do as it pleases.
Miss Fallen Angel fumed in her frustration with its lack of resistance.
However, Ruthfiel suddenly remembered the joking remark the lady had said to the original body this morning, claiming she'd make her the God King Holy Child next week.
The original body took the comment as a joke and Ruthfiel didn't care much initially, but now that the unreliable lady had obtained the Destined Canon, Miss Fallen Angel felt uncertain about that comment.
Looking at the lady now mixed in with the Moon Rabbits, praying on her own behalf, Ruthfiel sighed.
Could this unreliable lady truly be depended on?
Miss Fallen Angel was completely bewildered.
...
Meanwhile, Dorothy was unaware of Ruthfiel's worries and troubles on the other side. At the moment, she was blending into the rabbit crowd while guiding the Power of Faith into the Moon Goddess Statue.

Because these Moon Rabbits had once beheld her act of Creation of the World, which seemed like a miracle, most of the prayers this time were very devout.
Also, as Moon Rabbits are a top-tier Silver Species with strong individual strength, the Power of Faith they offered was all the more powerful and rich.
Although normal people can't see the Power of Faith, Dorothy, through her connection with Little Five sleeping inside the statue, could clearly see countless points of light currently floating from the tops of the Moon Rabbits' heads, then dancing towards the statue to converge.
"Ah, so Moon Rabbits can turn into light too?"
The Homebody Witch mused, speaking a joke that perhaps only she herself could understand in this world.
Since Jade possesses Psychic Properties and is full of spirituality, Little Five is having a fairly good sleep inside the Moon Goddess Statue, which has been rather nourishing for her, though she was somewhat premature. Now, as the Power of Faith pours in, the comfortably sleeping Little Five suddenly furrows her brow, then her eyelids begin to tremble slightly.
She was about to awaken.
...The Moon Goddess awakens...
