Chapter 34: Kekkei Genkai!

After giving the warning, Genichi leaped down from the treetop and sped off in the direction of Yamanaka En.

Rumble!

A loud roar sounded, and a rolling cloud of fire and smoke shot into the sky. Genichi glanced over and knew that was the direction Namiichi was responsible for. The traps had been triggered, which meant Namiichi's shadow clone would soon be engaging the enemy.

He immediately formed a hand seal, using the Art of Pyo. Instantly, his speed surged. Ahead of him, the sound of explosions continued to ring out. The battle seemed to be extremely fierce.

A few moments later, Genichi finally arrived.

Ahead, Yamanaka En and Nara Kakuto were working together. The latter had a red-haired, middle-aged man restrained with his Shadow Paralysis Jutsu. En was using his Mind Body Switch Technique, directly taking control of the red-haired man's body.

On the other side, the massive Akimichi Dōza and Yamanaka Kei were teaming up, also facing a single enemy: a young man with black hair, dressed in black. This man's nimble speed and sharp swordsmanship were too much for them to handle. Dōza couldn't restrain the enemy, making it difficult for Kei to use his Mind Body Switch. Their own close-combat and genjutsu were also ineffective, leading to a stalemate.

Just as En's side managed to control their opponent, the black-haired man immediately tried to go to the rescue. But he didn't charge directly at his comrade; instead, he charged at En. "Watch out!" Akimichi Dōza yelled.

Everyone flashed behind trees to take cover.

Some of the shuriken had explosive tags attached. Fire and smoke erupted, and a wave of heat rolled out.

The smoke cleared. Genichi stepped out from behind a tree and saw that two more people had appeared opposite them. One tall, one short; one man, one woman.

"Ling, you look pretty pathetic!" the woman, who had long gray hair and exposed, fair arms, said with a light laugh, seeming completely unconcerned about the death of their other comrade.

The black-haired man, Ling, snorted. "Just bad luck."

The tall man said, "Let's finish these guys off first!"

Sato stared at Genichi and said coldly, "This brat is mine!"

Behind Genichi, En said in a low voice, "I'm low on chakra." He was only a shadow clone.

Genichi nodded slightly. He, too, was only a shadow clone. In this battle, Dōza and the others were the main force. In that case...

Genichi sheathed his sword and formed the Tiger seal with both hands. "Genjutsu: Bringer-of-Darkness Technique!"

Instantly, the vision of the three opponents was completely stolen.

"Their vision is sealed! Finish them, quick!" Genichi yelled, and then his body exploded into a puff of smoke with a poof. The Bringer-of-Darkness Technique had completely exhausted his shadow clone's chakra.

The three opponents immediately tried to form seals to break the genjutsu, but En had already raised his hand and thrown several shuriken at them.

All the shuriken were knocked away.

Nara Kakuto, who had already reacted, used his shadow secret technique to control the tall man. "Dōza!"

In the blink of an eye, of the three enemies, only the black-haired man, sato, remained. He finally broke the genjutsu, and light returned to his eyes. But the next moment, his body stiffened. He was controlled by En's Mind Body Switch.

However, after only a second, En's body exploded with a poof. His chakra was exhausted!

The black-haired man regained control and immediately leaped up, narrowly avoiding being caught by Kakuto's shadow.

Swinging his sword in mid-air, the black-haired man deflected all of Kei's shuriken, then pushed off a tree branch to gain momentum. The next moment, the branch exploded; it was an attack from Dōza's staff.

With that, the man in blue turned and walked back.

The man in blue, however, smiled. "I didn't expect it to be a little brat!"

Although Genichi had grown rapidly over the past two years and was now nearly 1.6 meters tall, in front of the man in blue, he was indeed still just a kid.

Genichi stared at the person opposite him. "You're... a Mist Ninja!"

The man in blue smiled. "You're smart."

"So, I will use my full strength to kill you."

As he spoke, he raised his hand to form seals. But Genichi was faster.
