Pestilence: Rise Of The Pure Undead

Chapter 943: Kingdom Of Silence

When little Griar suddenly appeared right into the bright realm, he was actually instantly discovered, as everyone would take turns looking over the area they had all appeared in for him to show up in, so before his eyes could even adapt to the bright sunlight of this realm, he was instantly grabbed off the ground and smothered against someone's chest.

That was a common enough occurrence that he was able to recognise who it was from just that sensation pressing against his face.

"Aunty Antieeld?"

"Griar! Everyone was so worried about you! Are you alright? Are you hurt? Are you scared? You look a bit thin! Come on, let's go see your mother, she's been worried sick!" Griar had never seen Antieeld be so intense in her behaviour, usually looking aloof and all serious, only forming small smiles here and there when interacting with him or other children.

"Where have you been anyways, Griar?" she then asked, beginning to walk with him in her arms.

It was a bit hard to describe with his somewhat limited vocabulary, and truly, he hadn't been to many places at all, a forest and a town was really all that he had seen, and Flor was the only person he caught sight of.

"Grey forest… There was a nice girl" he simply stated, Antieeld raising an eyebrow on the second part.

"A nice girl, you say? Nice, how?"

"Huh…"

"It's alright if you can't respond, but I'll tell your mom that you have already have a girlfriend"

"Uwah…" Griar could only manage a noise and not even a word at that, not comprehending how just a few words had been enough for Antieeld to decipher that he had caught some special feelings toward Flor…

Whilst a young child was reunited with his family, putting an end to two months of worry and finally making it so that all who had fled to this realm had now arrived safely, the confrontation between the pure undead and golden one continued to rage on without stop.

And somehow, the intensity of the fighting seemed to only grow in severity as time passed.

Loimos and Sonnenträger were not growing any weaker or running out of steam in the least, the two months that it had seemed for both the Emerald Realm and Peaceful Realm had also been two whole months worth of time for them, but instead of rebuilding and starting life anew, they had done nothing but fight with intent to kill and destroy.

Shattering several dozens of memories in the process, several realms they had been taken into were utterly devastated in the wake of their conflict, they faced off in the heart of a volcano raging with heat so great that no water whatsoever could exist several kilometers around it, upon clouds so solid that one could walk and step upon them without problem, at the very bottom of oceans were the pressure was crushing.

Island sized icebergs were used as projectiles by the golden hero, an entire land upon an undiscovered continent, made up from the colossal remains of an ancient beast were animated by Loimos to fight for him.

They visited toxic swamps, immense realms made of nothing but floating islands, fought above what seemed like an endless span of ocean, faced off in the ancestral land of the mythical elves, right under their legendary world tree…

Even fighting on the surface of a moon, where gravity was wholly different from what they were used to, ending up splitting it in half before the memory could no longer endure the abnormal deviations from what was truly supposed to occur within those memories, and simply broke, sending them into yet another memory.

Sonnenträger managed to land a direct kick just before that occurred, launching Loimos away the instant they arrived into it, and either there was some sort of logic to which memory they travelled to, or it was just chance- Or perhaps the realm of memories was actively trying to get rid of them, but the next place they arrived in was in the vacuum of space, a most hard to reach place considering the enormous amounts of skies and lines of clouds one would have to traverse to reach it.

Even the undead empire did not reach as high as the emptiness of space, stopping at the last sky instead, here, the two combatants could behold the further immensity of this world, here, countless more planets could be seen in the distance, some uninhabitable, some clearly similar to the world just down below.

Normally, one would encounter atrocious creatures who had made the vacuum of space their home, but thankfully, memories contained within the realm of memories were devoid of people or beings, even the grass and trees were devoid of anything, nothing more than props.

Although an incredibly dangerous place to be in, neither Sonnenträger nor Loimos seemed affected by it, the pure undead even somehow managing to stop his momentum, not by using force, but by rearranging a few of his abilities to allow himself to simply float and fly whoever he wanted despite the rules of space.

The golden one surged forward, although it may seem like this memory was to the undead's advantage alone as he could not care less if there was no air to breath or if oxygen was supposed to be expelled from his lungs, or about of body fluids were supposed to boil and freeze, those were things that had no effect on him, and he had already shown his ability to nullify the problem of momentum here.

This place also restricted him in some ways however, casting spells and the like was much more complicated here, as the vacuum of space also affected energies in a negative way, and he now had to maintain his ability to move as he wished at all times too.

Equipped with the overwhelmingly powerful gold however, Sonnenträger was basically unimpeded by the vacuum of space, he had become one with the gold as well, he was no longer a living with life force, so he only needed the gold to sustain himself, no need to breathe.

Like many times before, the two clashed, only that for once, there was no sound, and the force of their blows simply floated away harmlessly, Sonnenträger felt his gold being stifled after the clash, having already seen much from Loimos, he understood what was going on.

Since a lot of means of attacks were rendered far too feeble in the current situation, he instead focused on what was actually enhanced by the current environment, and indeed, where no one could hear you scream, death aspect's of Silence was perhaps at the strongest it could possibly be.

With nearly all of the undead's immense focus upon channeling and enhancing that aspect, it was actually managing to forcefully 'silence' his gold in a not-so literal fashion.

'Huh… You really are never caught off-guard, are you, Loimos?'
